What kills me, is that most of the model animations are actually better than FFXIV PC's. The effect animations are obviously toned down a bit, but I think it looks better too.
not too surprising, they've said the main limit to their animation is that if the models are too detailed it can cause lag from too many players - mobile may not have that limit
Since you were wondering what the button in the center might be, if you look at the Paladin footage it's pretty obvious it's the basic attack combo. I found it particularily intersting that the casters get to fling tiny projectiles, like Aerith does in 7 Remake, instead of the good old booksmack. I hope they show off some more, because the combat so far looks awfully stationary.
It's just like the Job Action Trailers essentially. They don't move around in them besides the one time on SCH to show off....always forget its name...it's Combat Peloton to run forward in EW JA Trailer. We already heard that there's gonna be virtual joysticks. One for movement, one for camera, and as this video points out, the targets still have the box/circle we see for positionals. So it's safe to say, we'll still be having to dodge, etc while in combat. My hope is they allow bluetooth controllers to be used or attachment is allowed
That "level 50" White Mage had Assize, Afflatus Solace/Rapture, and Plenary Indulgence, so that's pretty crazy to see. I feel like playing in general and selecting party members is going to be a pain in the ass, just because of the tiny phone screen.
With Yoshi-P's answer to your question about low level jobs being sucky: that what's the point of leveling if you're not getting stronger along the way. I feel like I'd get kicked out of the media tour if I answered him with this: By the same logic as what he said, then just make it so that people who've done their leveling get to keep their skills even in synced content. That way, the players who earned their levels get to play their skills even in old content, and new players get to see what they can look forward to at later levels. There is absolutely no good reason to make someone grind out 100 levels, only for them not to keep those skills they earned along the way if they happen to get synced down by either a FATE or instanced dungeons
@@cidlufaine9044 It would be. But, at the same time, it helps take the heat off of low level tanks with barely any mitigation who may be reluctant to try and pull wall-to-wall. Having a WHM that can cast Holy would at least help with that while the rest of the group mows the packs down

The only issue with that is that skills like holy would be pretty crazy in early dungeons. Other than that, I agree

So... you just play solo in mobile?
This is pretty much a bethesda style game at this point. Modding is just expected.
