Holy cow it’s Ryan Who isn’t it. Long time no speak eyy. Thanks for watching. The great thing about the Cornetto trilogy is that I completely understand why each film would be someone’s favourite
Thanks, you've made me want to watch the ones I've missed out on so far. Can I vote for you reviewing "Spaced" at some point. I was one of those that watched it first time around, and visit it regularly. All the Edgar Wright tricks seems to be there already, and you can probably see some development over the course of the two series.
@@stephenhillier3522 thanks for watching, and yeah I’d highly recommend his entire filmography. I did start watching Spaced a good few years ago, and I enjoyed it. I really enjoyed the episode that influenced Shaun of the Dead. But soon I will absolutely complete it and possibly discuss the series
Right, I have now finished Wright’s filmography so time to give my thoughts. You probably know my opinions on the Cornetto trilogy very well so I’ll talk about the others Contrary to a lot of other people, I actually 100% understand where you’re coming from with Baby Driver. I don’t think it’s as special as everyone else says. Its style is great but the characters are pretty weak. Admittedly I am kinder to the movie than you are (I definitely think it’s at least better than A Fistful of Fingers) but it’s definitely not Wright’s best Speaking of Fistful, I quite liked this. It’s nothing spectacular but it’s fun and charming enough. That’s all I am mad that it took me so long to watch Scott Pilgrim. It is one of the craziest movies I have ever seen but it was right up my alley and I had such a blast with it And finally, I agree with everything you said about Last Night in Soho. It’s a divisive film but I thought it was great just like you. It’s themes of 60s nostalgia was fantastic and it was really cool and unique from Wright’s other work Yeah, I can safely call Edgar Wright one of my favourite filmmakers. He hasn’t missed once and he’s so unique and creative and fun to watch. I love him and this video is still fantastic as well
Good video! Me personally, I haven't seen many of Edgar's films, only Scott Pilgrim (which I loved), though I really need to. Based on the plot descriptions and this video, they seem exactly like my taste. Once I watch more, I'll come back and maybe give some of my opinions here.
Thanks Alex, glad you enjoyed. I feel like Scott Pilgrim is a film anyone will enjoy and isn’t very divisive. My go to recommendations from Wright’s work would be the Cornetto trilogy, will be interesting to see what you make of them
The fact that I haven’t watched any of the non-Cornetto trilogy Edgar Wright films is a crime. I just know that I’ll love Scott Pilgrim, it looks right up my alley I’m planning on watching through all of Wright’s filmography very soon so when I do that, I’ll definitely come back to give my full opinions on it all 😉 But yeah, Shaun of the Dead is the best of the batch and I don’t see that changing for me anytime soon
Considering the amount of times you bang on about Jason Schwartzman on your channel, how you’ve never seen Scott Pilgrim before is beyond me XD But yeah I hope you enjoy your Wright watch-through. I reckon out of his non Cornetto trilogy work, you’ll get the most out of Scott Pilgrim
@@creedecriswell634 to me that’s a symptom of the weak characterisation throughout the film, where by the end, these choices just don’t feel natural and coherent. But I’m glad you enjoy the film more than me
Great ranking man. Maybe a hot take on my part but The World End will always be number one for me.

1. Baby Driver
2. Shaun Of The Dead
3. Hot Fuzz
4. Scott Pilgrim vs The World
5. The World's End
6. Last Night In Soho
Great list. Glad you enjoyed Baby Driver more than me

I’m probably in the minority, but I rank Hot Fuzz over Shaun Of The Dead. “Yarp!’
“Yarp”
Nah I think that’s probably the majority opinion tbf. My parents prefer Hot Fuzz, and both are amazing
Baby driver good film but I can’t deny near the end some characters make choices that don’t make sense.

Debora was definitely WAY too chill about Baby being a criminal
@JAProductions494 Wait are you guy from letterboxd?
@@creedecriswell634 yes I am on Letterboxd
Baby Driver has 3 sex offenders in it x
