I love how your cross looks like it has straps criss crossed to hold the cross together even though that’s not what it is. Sometimes the littlest details can make a difference in the outcome even when not planned that way. I think it’s why I enjoy crafting when I get to do it.

The craft you make at the 57 minute mark and the paint job (before you add anything else) is EXACTLY what I want new flooring to look like. I know that seems crazy, but it looks like it would go with anything!

I like your little pin cushion. Its cute. Ive made and decorated a heart shaped one. Its cute, but i need a larger one. Ive been saving my hair when i cut it for a new bigger one. The hair sharpens the pins and needels. Makes thick fabrics easier to hand sew !
I love the cardboard spools that the tinfoil comes on. I agree they aren't flimsy at all.
There's so many ways to use these that I always have them in my stash !!
Your bottles turned out gorgeous !!

Dollar tree has foam dice, larger rounded edged ones that come two in a pack and smaller sharp edged ones 4 in a pack. If you paint them white, you can easily substitute them for wood blocks.

    Happy New Year Holly!
It is 11:15 in VA on New Year's Day. Its gloomy and rainy and i stayed up toooo late and when I wanted to go to bed the fireworks were still going on. I usually never watch long DIY videos but, i always watch your's. Only 2 of your DYIs had i seen so that was cool to see all new ideas. I live in a 610 square ft apt built in 1940 for the soldiers coming home from WW2. It is historically registerd nails and molly bolts are not allowed and Command Strips are pricey so I do not have much up on my walls. Somehow my foyer has turned into a butterfly/floral area and tomorrow at work I am going to ask the receptionist who has a new born if she uses Enfimale. I so want to make one of those floral pinch containers to hang on a fleur de le thumb tack i have. They are sturdy tacks i have bought a pkg of 4 at tye Variety Store i can walk to. This Variety Store openrd in 1950 and the grandaughter now runs it and OMGOSH Holly you would kove tge craft area. What the grand daughter is niw stocking is large swatches from an upholstery store of light weight cottons many farm house decor prints for drapes and covering sofas etc. She sells them for $2 and some pieces are well worth them as some are thick and i found 2 Christmas prints I turned into placemats. But one lightweight cotton prints i eoukd love to make your pinch bucket with.
My kitchen has hardly any cabinets so I have a bookcase my Dad made my Mom 30 years ago and on top i have my Mom's kitchenaid and displayed her ration books framed when she was old enough to stand in a ration line for bread and other food during WW2. I have her cutting boards displayed on tip too. On the shelves are her cook books one she started when she got married and only a few pages are left. Other shelves house mixing bowls pie plates, pots, pans, pressure cooker. Bottom shelves are holiday dishes. But, on tip of tge weathered oak top I have the vynil placemats that look nautical to you. I never thought they looked nautical until you mentioned it. Hanging in my kitchen window are sun catchers of the NJ light house i grew up with. On the window sull are shells and mini light houses a soap shaped crab. Most of my kitchen is farm house but, in reality i grew up on farm county and tte milk can from our back stoop in the 1960s is now in my foyer next to the kitchen. Who knew someday farm house decor would be a thing. I have had the green placemats when i lived at my Mom's house because I had the Michael's crates at the botyom of my bed and I had them on top under my vintage sewing machines. Inside the crates wete my fabric and sewing supplies. Too much to tell you with all your crafts in this video but all were awesome. Many of the supplies you used i now have on hand so I have great ideas for the cold winter days that are upon us. Good Saturday projects.
Have a blessed and Happy 2024!
    Love,
    Rebekah in VA

But this is a really good idea. I won't have to wait on anyone else now. I won't need them for carting trims or cutting it for me. I'm so glad I subscribed 😊🙇‍♀️

Oh Holly I’m so happy when I saw your name come up on the notifications! You know I’m an OG, been around forever 😉but I’ve wanted to mention this to you for a while. There’s a RUclipsr named Fia Garcia DIY that I want you to check out! Every time I watch her videos, I think this is something Holly would be amazing at! She Dupes high end decor from diy’s of course but from stuff she buys at the thrift/goodwill stores! I see you doing amazingly well at this and look forward to watching you do it! ♥️. Love your videos!

I have done some thrift store makeovers, but the problem I get or rather the complaint I get from my audience is that they cannot be guaranteed to find the supplies I used. When I do it from Dollar Tree items, trash or store items that are easy to get, it ensures everybody can re-create it if they want to. I will still check out her channel though. It sounds like fun. Happy new year to you my friend.❤️🥰

I think that is a unique thing that you have done with a Hot Wheel tracks. But as far as using the placemats there's been several others that have showed cutting and pasting. And I realize it's saying this video was new 3 weeks ago, can't help but wonder sometimes the Crafters just repost the same video.
But from time to time I have watched your other videos and they are very nice.
It's just really hard this month trying to even get new videos that aren't a collaboration of old videos put together.
I am not saying this about yours it's just in generally speaking.
On a positive note keep up the good work and look forward to new videos down the road.🤗
Is RUclips making more advertisements than normal?
Watched a fewcraftibg videos yesterday and about the time you're getting into it, there is all these so called sponcer ad.😵
That was the one thing that I did enjoy when I started watching RUclips a couple years ago and seeing all the different creative videos out there. That you could fast forward or skip the commercial and not have them every 5 minutes, but it is getting very annoying

The end of the year in the month of January is very typical for what we called compilation videos. Usually they are a review of our best DIY’s the year before, but some people just put all their videos stringed together good or bad. They are highly requested videos on my channel because people like to craft to them. For those people that adamantly follow a channel and don’t miss even one video, you have to really be into it to want to watch it again, lol. As far as advertisements, there is a lot going on. RUclips is being affected by the economy and so I guess maybe they are running more ads? Advertisers aren’t paying as much either because of the economy. Which means channels aren’t making as much money and I am guessing this is why you’re seeing more sponsored ads because they are going outside of RUclips to try and subsidize lost income. This is just a guess, but it makes sense based on what I’ve been reading online. I have not been able to make a video lately because I’ve just welcomed in a new grandbaby. The last three weeks has been very busy preparing for that and of course I had to babysit while everybody was in hospital. 😁❤️I just got home yesterday and I am going to clean my craft room and then start crafting and having fun.

Holly I bought the same ones you got for shears and they arr awful. I see so many cut through things so smoothly and mine cut barely anything. It actually hurt to squeeze to hard. I am looking forward to this video. ❤

Yes! I found out the brand matters! I gave up though and purchased some shears that cut through metal! They cut through everything! The link to the ones I got are down below in my description box below the video if you’re interested.

The miter shears do not do well on any flexible material. They do an excellent job creasing, but do not cut well unless it is a rigid material.

Yes! I am going to do one more winter decor because I want to decorate for winter in my home and I need more stuff 😂 but I went to the Dollar Tree yesterday and I had to film all the really beautiful things out for Valentines and Easter. I’m going to hurry and post that up so people can keep their eye out! They are putting stuff out really early! I’m crafting and filming at the same time but I will edit and share those first.

Do you use the masking tape from $🌳? I purchased a roll once and it was terrible to work with! It is hard to locate masking tape with duck and washi tape being more popular right now. If not $🌳 what brand do you use?

Your glue gun has a nice clean POINTED tip. Any I find seem to have a bigger tip. It also seems to let way too much glue flow! Weird

Those red scissors or clippers, I also bought from temo and they suck! Just. Awful they barely cut anything and I tried the extra blade it comes with. I got tin snips from my local hardware store and I live by them for any project they are 100x better than those temo ones.
