    Lyrics :
    You say I'm different,
    I say you are right.
You say you're in good mood
    which means you're sad
    I'm instatiable,
    I get never enough.
    grab into your wounds,
    and stir up the blaze.

    Dinner is served,
    it's a pleasure to me.
    I'm licking your lips,
    because I like your taste.
    Oh am I embarassing you,
    are you afraid of me?
    Who is normal here
    and who is insane?

    [Chorus]
    The decision has been made,
the charge inside me is ticking (ticking, ticking, ticking)
    Nothing will be like before,
    fortunately I'm crazy

    I'm on probation,
    okay I am not.
    Your ugly brother,
    a hit in the face.
    You say I'm menacing you,
    I'm off the lane.
    You think I understand you?
    I'm tantalizing you!

    I'm totally clueless,
    I don't remember anything,
    I plead on acquittal,
    I'm not all here.
    You say I'm embarassing you,
say, are you afraid of me?
    What is normal here,
and who is... and who is insane?

    Chrous 2x

    Fortunately I'm crazy,
    fortunately I'm crazy,
the charge inside me is ticking,
    fortunately I'm crazy!
    Crazy!

    Chorus

    Fortunately I'm crazy (4x)

Your translation breaks þe ryþm, doesn't abide by rhyming patterns, is sometimes too literal, and at times breaks semantic continuation in a grammar-semantic entanglement.
      It's mediocre at best.

Those lyrics are the most verruect thing about all this. The symbolism of the video, which another commenter needed to explain before I got it, is nonetheless positively transparent compared to these impenetrable lyrics (unless the translation was horribly mangled).

+RevengerGecko That's good and all, but a word of warning to you, sometimes you don't lol! don't get me wrong, sometimes it adds to the enjoyment e.g. in this song the oft repeated chorus line/chant is "Zum Glück bin ich verrückt" which basically means fortunately(or luckily) I'm crazy, and that's good to know, but some German songs sound less weird if left untranslated, with some songs translating them could potentially ruin it for you especially in the Neue Deutsche Härte genre, and especially in the case of Rammstein e.g. Zwitter, Rein Raus, Mein Teil i both praise and rue the day i learned what those songs were about, i mean i love Germany and all, but they're still the country that gave us Scheiße porn after all lol! (For the good of your soul, whatever you do, DON'T GOOGLE, BING, YAHOO OR DUCKDUCKGO THAT!!!) (YUCK!!!)

Lance Combes I mean like i want to understand it and be able to sing along and whatever. I'm not really a person who cares about the lyrics and if i don't like them, i won't listen to it. I only googled the lyrics once to see if the certain songs fit the playlist i was making. That is: Tanz Mit Mir, Mein Blud, Augen Unter Null, Die Holle Muss Warten, Verruckt, Herz aus eis, Abgrund, In Meinen Raum. Herz Sheht Still, Angst?, Eisbrecher are the only ones i list to from Eisbrecher(may look up others sometime)
and from Unheilig is: Puppenspieler, Die Bestie and Spiegelbild
And i have looked up the lyrics to these sometimes and i didn't even understand what on earth they were talking about:P

      RevengerGecko
That's cool, I've got no beef with that, and German is a great language to learn seeing how similar it is to English, (and how it kicks more arsch in metal than Englisch too lol,) all i was doing was giving you fair warning that translation could ruin a song for someone, (e.g. Rammstein's song Zwitter, sounds cool, & it's a really good song Über alles, but it got a little weird after i translated it into English and found out that Zwitter means hermaphrodite,) glad i didn't try using that as a wrestling/MMA etc entrance song lol, and one of my alles Zeit favorites is Mein Teil, [lit: My Piece/part etc.] but it is actually used as a slang word for penis {Mein Teil=My Penis} and it's about that real life case of a cannibal who found a willing victim and.. wait i don't even know how old you are, so i think i should leave it at that, i think you can put 2 and 2 together, ;-) but anyway, by all means go ahead and translate all you want, i wasn't trying to discourage you or even advise you against it, i for one love knowing what they're saying most of the time, i just wanted to warn you that there's no going back once you know what it means, so you'll never again be able to listen to that song that you thought was a great workout song when you're hangin in the gym with your bros or whatever you kids are saying nowadays but then found out that [hypothetical song] let's say it's called "Ich Bin Eine Fee Fürsten" means in english "I'm a Fairy Princes" suddenly it isn't ever gonna sound very tough ever again lol, that's all i was preparing you for, but if you can take it i do encourage you to decipher the meanings of German songs because it can be total Geil!(totally cool) just don't say i didn't warn ye! ;-p sorry for bloviating, hab einen schönen tag!

Going back to the lyrics, i've never heard those songs before. I don't really like Rammstein much. The only song that i really like from them is Du Hast. The only other bands i listen to is Eisbrecher and Unheilig as i said before.
Though there is one song from Megaherz i'm interesting in learning the meaning of, its called "Schizophren" which i can only image has something to do with Schizophrenia

I love how the visual part of the song can be interpreted as an extended metaphor. See how they take away the pen (Symbol of hard work), they take away the key (Symbol of security) and they take away the watch meaning precious time. Without all these things this is what led to this company becoming bankrupt and them eating the money was them chewing through it without care and consideration. This is probably one of my favourite songs of all time to interpret metaphorically. They all seemed to lose sanity after what they brought upon the company. They all went VERRÜCKT ....

I seriously think that Germans are the undeniable leaders on Industrial Metal or sub genres of Metal.
Rammstein is an international god, and I feel like these guys are some Newcomers following in Rammsteins footsteps making waves.

    • @hordenmeisterAO
      @hordenmeisterAO 8 лет назад +103

+EpicAMV911 These "newcomers" are around for more then ten years. Rammstein is just the tip of the iceberg, there is a whole music genre called "NDH - Neue deutsche Härte" ("New german Hardness"). If you like Rammstein and Eisbrecher, I would recommend to also have al look at Megaherz and Stahlmann - although in my opinion they cannot reach up to the former two.

    • @EpicAMV911
      @EpicAMV911 8 лет назад +9

hordenmeisterAO Oh yes I'm well aware of all those guys, and agree with you completely about megaherz not adding up to Rammstein or Eisbrecher. I was just under the impression that Rammstein practically started the genre and is definitely the oldest of them all, sort of like the grandfather of the genre. Rammsteins been around for what? almost 30 years? Eisbrecher just past 10 years? Megaherz pretty new? Either way the popularity of all of them pretty much is a landslide with Rammstein[unrelated].

    • @EpicAMV911
      @EpicAMV911 8 лет назад +3

hordenmeisterAO Neue deutche harte? I could of sworn Rammstein was industrial metal, or are those the same?

    • @hordenmeisterAO
      @hordenmeisterAO 8 лет назад +13

No, that's not the same. But Rammstein should not be considererd industrial metal. Maybe this misunderstanding is a consequence of the term ndh not being used much outside of germany.
Another very important band in this genre which i forgot to mention and was one of the biggest influences for Rammsteins music are Oomph. If you don't know them yet you should really listen to them ;)

    • @Aurigauh
      @Aurigauh 8 лет назад +1

+EpicAMV911 You're absolutely right. Rammstein actually is Industrial Metal. They have been since I was a child, some have a different definition of industrial metal, but they've always been it. Just like classic rock wasn't always called classic rock. Terms and definitions change, but they'll always be industrial metal as their original classification in my eyes.

    okay I am not.
    Your ugly brother,
    a hit in the face.
    You say I'm menacing you,
    I'm off the lane.
    You think I understand you?
    I'm tantalizing you!
    I'm totally clueless,
    I don't remember anything,
    I plead on acquittal,
    I'm not all here.
    You say I'm embarassing you,
say, are you afraid of me?
    What is normal here,
and who is... and who is insane?
    Chrous 2x
    Fortunately I'm crazy,
    fortunately I'm crazy,
the charge inside me is ticking,
    fortunately I'm crazy!
    Crazy!
    Chorus
    Fortunately I'm crazy (4x)

    • @TremereTT
      @TremereTT 4 года назад +3

@@TheNthMouse Sorry but you are wrong. "Ich kriege niemals genug" would word by word mean "I obtain/get never enough" so a close and correct translation is "I never get enough."
You have to keep in mind "kriege" and "Kriege" are two different words, because capitalization indicates nouns (=objects and classes). Also as German is a V2 language, after the first clause allways comes the first part of the verb. So as it's in the verb-position "kriege" can only be a verb.
You will seldom find "kriegen" written in texts as it's only used in coloquial language for things like "Get me!" or "You'll get a new face made!" or "I'll get it done somehow."

I'm a fan of the likes of Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, ZZ Top, Queen to name a few but have been looking for decent "modern (ish) rock" from another sourse! I've looked at the USA and basically most of that is Krap, then the mid/far East, but not my style. Other European countries haven't got the vibes either! So some light lit up in my Pea Brain and said, "You lived in Germany for 6 years try there" and I think I've found my new musical genre of rock. Thanks Germany!

I think you really find out about it's depth and darkness by singing it. You are like damn, this is anger and pain. Angelic in it's height and then in Hades, just like real life, just like he conveys so well in his singing.
