Fiona Apple's impressive vocabulary inspired me so much as a young girl that I became determined to possess a vocabulary as expansive and poetic. I trace my word-nerd nature back to Fiona.
I will never forget having my very first concert tickets to see Fiona Apple in Pittsburgh in 1997. The show got canceled and we were refunded so I went to go see Ringo Starr instead which held an importance all in its own right.. I guess what I'm saying is.. I'm still a huge fan of Fiona and The Beatles and their members who have both deeply imprinted on and to this day define my life. 💕
@@John-qe7mu I surprisingly remember that it was originally scheduled for February and we found out I think the night before or with some very short notice that she would not be performing and had to make a quick decision. I recall Ringo being at the end of May and if I had to do it all over again I think I would do the same. The IC Light pavilion was the perfect place for a first concert. I even made my way to the front of the stage and up onto it staring directly at Ringo’s shoe for a split second there until security pushed me back off! 🤣 Do you happen to recall where Fiona‘s concert was held? I still very much hope to see her someday! 💕
I tend to forget how young she was when she started because I think I was the same age. but when I look back on these videos I am reminded. and so mature in her songwriting
