Tesla was old Czechoslovak electronics company.
You can see that it is written Tesla Brno which is a city in Czech. The Czechoslovak Tesla has nothing to do with Elon's Tesla.
So you say haha
@@robertpayjack90 just for info :)

@@TheElectrofit to spíš ne, podle mě to budou ještě manuály a součástky z doby před havárii.

Tesla is a Czechoslovak company, it has nothing to do with Nikola Tesla or the car brand. I still have some old Tesla parts like transistors laying around since they are pretty common in slovakia.
Thank you for the information!
Back when Conrad didn’t just mess around and actually taught people stuff. Would be good to get more stuff like this again

The 5.25-inch diskettes were available in a capacity of 160 KB single side, 360 KB low density, and 1.2 MB high density sizes.
The problem you're likely to encounter when reading unknown floppy disks is the disk format: it could be any one of FAT, CPM, HFS or any number of other formats.
Your best option to read them would be to dump the raw data using disk imager.
The tape might be ANYTHING: VHS, Betamax, U-matic or even multi track computer data tape (all incompatible with each other). Be aware that tapes like these will not work if they're run through the machine upside down or back to front.
Punch cards are EASY to read, all you need to do is photograph or scan them. but make sure you keep them in the correct order
Tesla was a company founded in Czechoslovakia in 1946 and is still making electrotehcnical parts. Way before Elon :D
Different Tesla
I did enjoy the graffiti while exploring Chernobyl, they're all unique and interesting Fallout style pieces, not sure who the artist is, but love to see the whole collection as I'm sure I missed a few. It's also kinda like a treasure hunt finding them

Fantastic tour - really like the factory details. Can't believe how much you guys were able to figure out from all the equipment there
It's ART! History is being made, the first artwork created in the no go zone!!! Very valuable, I hope no one vandalises this!
"PC Shell" -- I think that's a DOS program. Those would likely be 640k floppies. There was also a 1.2mb format of those 5.25" floppies. (The hard shelled 3.5" floppies were 1.44mb)
It also said something about autoexec.bat - so this is almost certainly an IBM/MS-DOS formatted disk.
Hm the standard for DOS formatted Double Density floppies (at least in the west) was 360k. There were also rare quad density (that should make 720k but I've never seen this format being used except on early 3,5 inch disks) and of course the 1,2mb high density you mentioned.
I also doubt the video tape is actual video tape. It's brown. Video tape is usually black. My guess is this is computer tape (as in those mainframes often seen in movies...) Can't hurt testing though. Maybe it's a recording of Rick Astley (that's what I would do with this tape - then put it back!)
that's really the most interesting place, i remember you guys being there with the boxes of sand covered robot parts. Nobody really knows what secret stuff they did there and wow, things manufactered by one of the companies that tesla created. Good job Kreosan
Amazing video guys ! Never stop making them. I really hope you can get something out of the tape. Imagine if there are some secrets on the tape.
I would love to go there and explore. Seems one could stay there fairly easily and survive for free. As long as you're keeping a close eye on the radiation issues.
I can't be the only one who would love some of those old tiles... Kreosan, maybe some merch? They don't have to be from Pripyat, just Soviet vintage.
That would be amazing, but if they start to draw alot of attention to themselves, it may not end well. And if they accidently mail something thats contaminated, its a whole world of trouble for both parties.
12:04 - that floppy disk from the label is a double sided double density disk so it would hold 360kb formatted capacity.
Old floppys were 160kb 360kb and even 1.2mb from memory
that large green machine was a bulldozer, that big spike was the ripper shank. it helped break up the ground easier.
Loving this series in the UK. Be careful of the dust guy's!!!
There already exposed look how they look hahahhaha
VHS tapes are very durable, the picture will certainly have some glitches, but if something is recorded on the tape it will work
Can we tell if it is a VHS tape or could it be another type? The VHS tapes in my country, UK, are black in color but the one in the video looks very brown. I wonder if it could be audio tape or something else
@@rfitzgerald2004 its definitely a VHS or Beta tape, audio tapes are generally narrower and computer tapes are thicker and more rigid

Wow this is exactly the same as STALKER Call of Pripyat lol
5.25" Floppy Disc one of the First Ones used in PC's. Not much capacity, maybe 1.2 Megabytes.
Trouble with these & the 3.5" were the coating was very fragile, just like VCR tapes.
I never could get DOS 6.22 to install more than once.
At least it wasn't a Commodore...
Please keep up the good work! Me and my son are fascinated with your videos. We have both learnt so much from you. Watching from uk
If you want to read those floppies, you may want to clean them first using some toilet paper and holding it gently to the hole and then turning the disk inside. Then you can maybe use a USB floppy drive with your phone if it runs android to read the disks contents.
13:55 You can clearly see it's a circular chart for recording up to 1100 celsius.
Love your Videos so glad you Upload it in english so we can understand!
Greetings from Germany :)
Is there any update on the VHS tape??? What a tease.
"what's this?" "a bus."
The robot pictures would be cool on a garage wall.
His solution for how to wind up the video tape was really really funny
That was a Tesla keyboard from a Soviet mainframe computer, they were everywhere in Chernobyl, it is weird to see such state of the art items from 80s just rotting away. You would think the Soviets would demolished the place, but I guess that would have caused the radiation to become airborne
Tesla circuits were made in Czech republic. We had a Tesla company here.
We have also Tesla fabric in my city in Slovakia the same company which make these "Micro" chips but its totaly different company then Musks Tesla.
Kreosan, be sure to celan and read those tapes and floppy disks. As always, thanks for sharing a great exploration vid with us
Sounds carzy but I was using those 5.25 floppys as late as 1995/96 And they weren't that big, something like 1.44 Mb
The floppy disk that he first showed, said there was bad sectors. I'd say if there was radiation around , all these single sided double density disks, are toast.
Love those blueprints you found!!!!
That first piece that they’re playing with that looks like a crematory! It looks like it fits a casket perfectly or a body
These video's are what I spend my Sunday evening watching here in Scotland!
Guys, you probably know it, but Tesla was name of factory in Czech Republic, which was producing electronic components and also equipment such as some measurement tools or even radios etc.
My guess is they turn over vehicles like that van to remove the engine so it falls out instead of having to lift it out.
Tesla was Czech Slovak electronic company
This is great! Watching from Thika, Kenya
I had a friend in bristol england whos name was igor he turned a range rover over on its side like that bus to fix it
That furnace in the begining of the video, it look like a cremation oven lol
The nice find is this video! Cheers from Romania!
Take THE floppy disk with you and some stuff you can use so it dosent get destoryd
Hi guys, what sony camera is that? thanks
Thank you for this very entertaining video. I start to like the new guy with the scarf, he seems to know his way around.
10:50 these 7405 TESLA chips are old logig HEX inverter made in Czech Republic
The large chip MHB1012 is a UART or serial port.
Muffle furnace at 2 minutes is either a kiln for ceramics or heat treating oven for hardening metals
I am both surprised and not at the same time.. The blueprints and film still being there.. I am not surprised due to how quickly they had to leave. But I am surprised no one came back to clear the stuff out. Either to collect or destroy it. Even after the USSR's collapse.
Excellent work. Thoroughly enjoyed this video.
5 1/2 floppy disk held 160kilobytes single density and double density held 360kb per disk. I used them back in 1988
The chips are interesting, if you look them up you get links to buy them for aviation.
Tesla integrated circuits and catalog was mede in Czechoslovakia. Tesla was a big manufacturer of electronic components and consumer electronics until fall of ussr and separation of Czechoslovakia in two countries.
I recently try to fix my mom old blender and it has TESLA microchip inside too so...
@@pokermagnat Yeah, maybe he will agree to put one of Tesla car electric motors into my mom old blender...
1.2 MB or 720k on a 5.25 floppy. Older formats held even less.
It’s amazing that every piece of small copper and ancient electronics have been looted.
Finally a video worth watching!
20:42 the only correct way to store magnetic tape, wind it around your belly!
Peace be with you in these trying times comrades.
So many perfect places to stuff a body.
"ART"
I can't believe that the guy ate that apple
furnace for the dead... logic circuit alot like relay..the punch cards are programs for machines...the robots were probably made to inspect the radiation i have seen footage they tryed robots but they needed better shielding against the radiation....
1:30 "What a terrible apparatus!" xD LoL
Tesla isn't the company you think it is... the books they found with "Tesla" written on them aren't Elon Musks Tesla. Tesla was established far later.
about 640 kb could be copyed on those floppy discs
Makes me wonder if a parallel opened and the electricity may have caused everything to ho haywire!
If they could go back through the parallel maybe things would go back the way they were.
This place with all the beautiful trees etc was beautiful before this happened.
That transformer coil, can pay your expedition expenses. Take it as long it's no longer radio active.
is this the plant that produced the computers for the buran project ?
Yes please check out those old floppies and other material, you shouldn't get in troubles for that because those belonged to soviet union which doesn't exist anymore besides already so many years have passed and at this point it's historical relic.
I just know you didn't just leave those unopened vodka and copper there lol
Whats that blue tab he found at the beginning ?
video tape is very fragile to dents. It shows only white snow if there are to many of them. Audio tape is more robust to dents, it can be played anyway.
Those transistors for computer repairs those were the days computers on breadboards fixed by hand those were the days.
You guys are amazing ! I wish I had a crew like this
What’s Antons channel?
You guys are the best! Always entertaining, educational, funny and it teaches to be stealthy ..👀
Watching from California, thanks for translating!
Production date codes on these Tesla ICs are VN = November 1987 and W3 = March 1988.
2:27 I think the bus is turned over because the driver had too much vodka.
I think a 5.25" floppy holds 0.4mb. I still had a drive for them when I was a kid.
Tesla was an old Czechoslovakian company which made electronics such as TVs and radio, but also military grade electric equipment. It exists from 1946 till 1989, but after USSR fall, CSSR (Czechoslovakian Socialist Republic) also split up (now Czechia and Slovakia) and the old Tesla went to shit, now we have a modern Tesla company which is in Czechia and it produces military and medical grade electronics. And another Tesla is in Slovakia which produces for example doorbells, telecommunications... Elon Musk's Tesla does not have anything incommon with Czechoslovakian old Tesla Company. Yes, and the books are in Czech language also as in Russian. Cheers from Slovakia
You might have to load the floppy disc in a certain manner. They do not hold much information and each one must be inserted after the other. good luck
i don't know if it's just me, but the only video i've seen worth while lately was the one when you went underground super sus
