I would dig that bottle cap Jim. Glad you are doing well with your arm, please don’t pick up heavy sand you could really hurt arm bad. Good hunt nice things.💗💗💗⭐️⭐️⭐️
!! WOW !! ALL that beach to yourself..... And a lovely day, too.... re: " Would I Dig It ?' " > I think it might ba a 'Quarter' ~ Crusty or otherwise .... 😂 F.Y.I. : NEVER tell the missus what time you'll be home by. You may get in and find a note on the table saying " Your dinner's in the dog !! " 🤣🤣
Yes, the deep blue cobalt the bigger the pieces the better get the highest amount. I have a lady that will drive from LA to buy them from me, she makes fine jewelry. The other colors I toss into a bag and sell once a year to a shop on main street here in Huntington and they sell to the public in their store. Rare for Huntington to have sea glass, I usually find it in South County. I hope all is well in Japan, Thank You 👍
You found a lot of nice items this time and you are right, what a beautiful day you had! I would dig it for sure and I am guessing that it is a silver nickel and I am keeping my fingers crossed! Awesome video, thank you!
As usual, another great video! All the sea glass was really cool, I was unaware it had some value. 900 numbers are very different than the 800 so it’s hard yet to tell, but I’d dig it.. a nickel, I think. Thanks again!
Jim Iam glad to see your pretty much all healed . It sure did not take you long. Is Mike Wells are healed up also??? Seems like it was just last week that , you were swinging and he was digging. I don’t know the new 900 numbers yet but Iam guessing a junk ring for would in did it. Good luck this year on finds!!!
I took out my NOX 900 for the first time. It could not find much. I was using my Deus II and seeing of the NOX could detect the targets. It could not. When I got home I realized sensitivity was at 5. We'll have to try it again. Take it easy with that rist. I'm not gonna guess what that target is until I get some more time on my NOX 900.
Oh my gosh, I have made the same mistake with the 800. Detected for almost an hour before realizing I never readjusted the sensitivity after leaving a highly unstable area of the beach.
I was there on Tuesday at noonish , it was a really nice day. Only found .26 I think I need some kind of pattern. Very new at this detecting hobby. Mostly hunt carlsbad an oceanside. Ordered a 900, so it really helps see your target id's
Hard to believe I won this week's would you dig it Jim. I will guess Nickel for this weeks would you dig it. Is it possible to win two weeks in a row!!!
Send me an email a few days to a week prior and I will give you better best choices, but you can never really go wrong with Seal, Huntington or Newport. If you hunt on a Friday come and join us as I detect with my friends on fridays.
Great Video wish I could detect still have SNOW YOU MAKE ME SO JEALOUS I NEED TO COME OUT THERE IN WINTER !! CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT SHAFT YOU HAVE IN YOUR MINELAB AND HOW COMPACT YOU CAN GET IT ? IM GETTING EVERYTHING READY SO WHEN SNOW GOES I CAN GET OUT !!!
The shaft is the stock carbon fiber shaft that comes with the Nox 900, though I also use the CKG carbon fiber equinox telescopic shaft on my 800. I hope that helps. SNOW means cold burrr I get cold just thinking about it. FYI - yesterday was 75 on the beach today is supposed to be 72 now that is how you enjoy a February. Thank You 👍
Could be a war nickel. Having to learn all the new numbers is going to be fun. Was surprised at how much difference between some objects, in comparison to the 800. Been playing with old finds, trying to get a handle on the numbers. PS: a fine gold necklace with an equally fine and small cross pendant, that was a surface find and did not register on the 800 is readable on the 900.
Wet sand is extremely heavy and even though your detector is light weight swinging it for hours would also get heavy and looking down in same position would stiffen the neck
Have you ever find yourself thumbing through a jewlery flyer and actualy FIND a ring you dug up on the beach? Or think "found that...and found that too..found one of these...that one too...haven't found that yet....like to find this one though..."
I often notice jewelry similar to what I have found, in the stores, what people are wearing, sometimes advertisements and the Jostens catalog, Lol! But many of my finds are very unique and I have never been able to figure out where or who made it. Thank You 👍
Hey Jim, what detector are you using? It looks like a Equinox 800, but your numbers look li,like, they are running a lot higher than mine? I max out at 40, and yours seems to be running into the 70s on some targets?
Equinox 900, at first the number patterns seamed crazy but know I can determine nickels and pull tabs for most part. It is those iron pieces the 900 loves to find deep that are causing me issues right now.
Hope you heal up ok don't push it buck oh or it may take more time to get it right. I am thinking it is a gold ring or nickel may be a Indian head or buffalo and may be V nickel.
Take it easy my friend..do enjoy the golf Jim, the bacon looks amazing also! I had an ol recipe from my great grandpa who was also a butcher I'll see if I can get it and pass it on...ttus Jim
Now that you’ve been using the Nox 900 for a spell, which do you prefer …the 800 or the 900 ….. I’m toying with getting the 900……then make my 800 my bakup machine ?
Honestly I cannot answer that question without more time on the 900, at the moment I prefer the 800 only due to comfort. 900 is more sensitive causing considerably more false high tones on flat iron, nails or tent stakes. I am trying to make adjustments but realize I had same issue with 800 but now it is about getting used to the difference in target identification. It definitely will detect more targets including very small, so it will make you dig more. Thank You 👍
@@funwithjim thanks for the quick reply…. I’m still dithering about the 900….mostly because I have BOTH the 600 & the 800….I think I’m gonna try to sell the 600….

Wet sand is extremely heavy and even though your detector is light weight swinging it for hours would also get heavy and looking down in same position would stiffen the neck
That is typical for beach detecting, no pain no gain. Lol!
It's always the case, mainly my arms though after several hours of detecting!
I'm going to guess a modern nickel , thanks for the videos
I found a 1919 wheat penny the other day that is in great condition on Galveston beach
Awesome, I am amazed how well old coins hold up compared to modern coins.
I am guessing platinum ring.
