Mish can you tell what type of sand scoop you have there and where you purchased it from?

We think it was part of an old settlement and it is right near an old port so boats a plenty. The 900 does seam to punch deep. Impressive. Thanks for watching 😁👍

Gday Jamie. It was a great time out with Mish. The depth and target separation is really impressive. Had a weekend with my boss running the 800 and 900 together. The 900 did way better at depth. If you up grade you will notice the difference for sure. Good luck 😁👍

Don’t worry. I can’t either. Dave and I were playing with the 8&9 on the beach this weekend. The 900 does have the edge on the 800 a bit. Both machines great. Take care mate 😁👍

Another fine video! I'm guessing that the copper nails were once in an older wooden ship? Lots of .303 British bullets and pieces thereof. If you find a legible head stamp it should have the last two digits of the year of manufacture. Thanks for the video, it's currently -7C outside here so it will be afternoon before detecting temps arrive!
Gday Greg. Yes the nails are old boat ones. Quite a few around. All the casings were too far gone to get a date off. The cold doesn’t worry us down here but it is a bit tough to detect when the temperature gets up into the 40s C. Hope it starts to get warmer for you soon 🦘🦘😁👍

🤣🤣🤣just read your P.S. it is always great to get out detecting with Mish. We have lots of banter and the finds are just a bonus. Yes I didn’t walk over one bit of silver all weekend. I am impressed with the depth of the targets that I found. Bit easier digging than up round home. We will probably catch up again in a few months. Hope you’re both well. Take care mate 🦘🦘😁👍

Gday Jim. The beach has got some age to it. There is more above the embankment but it is thick and snakey. Thought we would stay on the sand. Copper square nails are always cool to find. Good fun was had. Take care mate 😁👍

Im glad you said "sheep"! enough copper nails to build a boat, if thats what they were used for, it seems the salty mangrove'y air might have played up with your silver sniffing senses, might need recalibrating! Myself, im sensing more salty searches to come, Cheers Andrew!

Gday Sid. It does really well on the beach. Ran the 900 against the 800 on a beach with my boss this weekend and the 900 got more deeper targets than the 800. Very impressive.
Mish wiped the floor with. The only sniff of silver I got was when she handed me that shilling. 6 to nothing 😔. Take care mate 🦘🦘😁👍

Question, what’s your process for a site? You found the large copper nail first, to me that says a large boat left to rot away! But is it a permanent structure? A jetty or a single building or a whole township? I would look for more targets, more clues but what are the more defining markers and how far do they spread over time?
I know that’s a lot, maybe a future video with a team of different opinions?
Gday SoF. Mish and I have been here before. We know the place is old and where we were was called old settlement beach. We just kept detecting till we got a target then started to refine the search area. What we found there is due to erosion. The rest of the site is back up in the bush. Very thick and full of snakes.
That’s it, bit of historical research, look at a map and get out for a swing with a mate.
