Omg!!! He's valiantly trying to get into the telenovela industry, I think he would make a good telenovela actor, all he needs is Juanita no ... and Juanita, porque me dejaste ... and then start crying ... that's a Mexican telenovela 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤😅😅😅
What? You call this suffering? ^^
We getting out of the gacha sphere with this one boys
Out of the gatcha sphere and into ur mom. yes. true.
im sorry WHAT THE FUCK?
This changes everything
I mean, I lost probably 50Millions USD for not buying Bitcoins too!
Lol 😂.
no correlation...
@rogueknight2414 it's called a joke, bud"..."
I lost money in Ethereum lol. I should've gone bitcoin
@@BuhteeG joke are usually related, the issue here is that twitch lied on the data basically lmfao
I love these kinds of videos and insights. I know it’s rare that you talk about the realities of a career in streaming and content creation and maybe this topic doesn’t perform as well but it’s valuable information. This will help rookies trying to break into this career path.
They gotta give you the low ball estimate of what you'll make, because if they tell you what you'd actually make, and it's a crap day, then you'd be after them.
Isn't that the point of a range? it says $750-$2035 so obviously the lower number should be the "bad day"
Honestly its like a risk -reward thing with ads.Ive seen channels with like 2k viewers on average who suddenly start going full out on ads, lose over half their viewers because of it over time. If i watch a new person and either my ad block is not updated or not working. And i feel like i get 1. ad for clicking on a stream, then for the short time i watch ,i feel like im watching more ads than actual content, i just unfollow and or watch vods and move on. The ad system is just completely fucked. I dont mind watching ads and supporting a streamer if it is reasonable and i dont subscribe. What i dont like is always having ads pop up at random times where stuff is happening. But hey could be just me lol. Thank God for adblockers holy fuck.
Hey man ,I am not really educated about this " adblocker" things ,but can you use these ad blocker on mobile ,and are they workable on Spotify too!? Can your account get banned from using this!?
@@soliciata9562 Yes they work on mobile aswell. But not through the twitch app, only through browsers like chrome and firefox. Same with spotify as far as i know, but aswell browser not app. The only issue is that there is currently a war going on where twitch updates ways to play ads so sometimes adblockers need to "catch up". Same with YT. Right now there is no way you can get banned for it. That im 100% certain. Just use a guide for your prefered browser. Its simple.
in some countries you can not block ads with any adblock, there need to be other measures such as proxies or scripts fiddling our with the layout when ads start playing and they're all scuffed a bit
in some countries, like croatia, me using ublock, 0 ads, there are periods around december where some ads get through and ublock didn't manage to block it
Hey mtashed, are you interested in doing games/internet culture news coverage? Moist critical and Mogul Mail, for example. I think you give really good takes, and I would love to watch some more of those types of content!
yeah its a popular niche rn. But while he's doing fine with games he probably wouldnt switch
I really agree. I'd love for you to do these kinds of vids
I would like this too
it's very oversaturated tho and everyone and their dog got a react/drama channel nowadays.
honestly he should though. like a weekly news update thing. "THIS WEEK with MTashed"
I like these type of vids, especially because you can talk about things non-gacha related, it feels like a breath of fresh air
damn yall getting that much money just for streaming 😭
I mean hey, it's cuz thats how much advertisers are willing to pay twitch for the viewers he brings in.
You should stream too! It's just streaming, how hard could it be amirite?
it's not that easy
@@rhoo3605 yes it is
I don't think shinju's point is that it's easy, but alot of people would looooove to stream and make a living. Heck I'm a programmer and i make a decent amount but if i could make the same amoount streaming, I'd do it!
There's a lot of things where being in the top 1% will make you bank
That sucks for sure, but good that you figured it out now and go get that bag king
Really awesome vid, tash. Some really inspiring tips for newcomers.
i appreciate you breaking this down it was super informative
This is really insightful as a small streamer, thank you so much tashman
Love these behind the scenes things from you Tashman!
Really like when creators talk real shit about what it’s like in this business thanks for putting this out there.
Lets go then tashman, run the ads. It's compounding because you'll get more subs and nobody will complain more than the average day on twitch
I love how one of his first thoughts was to worry about the viewers and not the monetization, love his content
Did twitch Ever put out and announcement or something to notify people? or was this a thing in the shadows?
There was a lot of messaging when it first launched. They also sent many emails about it. The Broadcaster Dashboard has banners talking about it as well.
Haven't watched the video but
Dont worry we at youtube are still here for u.❤
Edit : After watching video that is sad 😔
lilbro our helping aint gonna help anyone if he had 500k debt or something like the title seems 💀
@@shinju_vera well I guess here the phrase " Every little counts " is in action. As whoever subscribes his channel will subsequently let him be able to gain more money. Not 500k tho.
But on the other hand I guess you are also right so here is me agreeing with you. 💀 ☠.
He lost $500k in profit, but he is still in huge profit overall. He's just saying the twitch stats are so wrong and the amount is so big that everyone shouldn't get misled by twitch and every streamer should click it.
insaaaane... Sick video man its always cool to have some insight in the internal economics of twitch! Surprising as all hell that nobody ever mentioned this incorrect exchange though, i imagine CCs didnt want to mention anything in case it made twitch "fix" the situation and revert the payouts to the "correct" amount?
I found this very interesting. Maybe more videos on how twitch works.
Bro oh man. It’s 61 hours of data used to make the estimate. Not 61 hours of revenue
your videos about creator business/finance are awesome, I don't see anyone else talking about it as candidly as you. valuable content
These insights are honestly so helpful, ty Tashedman :)
Now I am curious... like, what can you do to fix it ?
I not even gonna lie I don't know how people can watch streamers on twitch cos of the amount of ads. And the only way to watch what u missed is to go to the vod. You can't rewind easily.
adblockers? lol
Appreciate your insights, no need to show too much humility Mtash, bread is bread. Lost bread all the more so. Love the transparency and the look behind the veil to get an understanding of how things work. Thanks :3
Run an ad for every reroll 😂
I usually know twitch streamers run ads to deter non subs to sub
2020 was the best. Thanks for the vid 👍
I kinda think this is one of those videos that is going to end up helping thousands of people over decades of time.
Now that he figured this out he can start playing games he doesnt hate for the same money. 😮
Actually informative. I'm sorry about the financial loss, but appreciate the sharing of information, and transparency. I'm really wanting to get into content creation/streaming now that i've attained a PC, and this will help me in the future.
I really hope that I can achieve some modicum of success within the platform.
Thank you, again for the insight.
Pupsker must be making bank because I get 25 mins of ad every time I watch him
Streamers: I don't want ads on my stream.
Twitch: Ohhh, that's really sad to hear that you don't want money for the ads that we'll show anyway.
Worth to consider the fact that people are more likely to tune out of your streams with ads running, even if they are returning viewers.
I keep getting THE FINALS ads yet u didn't get anything? That's F UP
I wonder if more people are clicking on the add cause its game related because we are running out of things to do in wuwa and zzz? I wonder if that has something to do with it
Top 10 tips I wish I knew before Streaming
this would be a great idea for youtube just because the ads are starting to get out of hand especially when i watch ads on tv i get 16 minute long ads someties . i had one that went for an hour . i could skip but the idea that if i left my tv runnning it would just be an hour long ads would be crazy.
MoneyTashed back at it again. Honestly man, you should just make guides for content creations and wealth generation
bro i first looked at the title and thought it say 500k follows but holy cow 500k$ thats crazy
My bro said imma help the streaming community. Hold my beer.
Jooo thx mate, i ran the same strat as you so far, probably gonna save me some money ❤
This changes everything 😭😭😭😭😭
3:23 If we look back in time we only had one add before we can watch a RUclips video. Now it’s around 2-3 for 5-10 min…. 🙄 How much until viewers decide to not watch you?
Asmon has a very recent video, where he talks about how a large majority of streamers are actually killing their own channels by playing to many ads. Hell, asmon has lost millions by not having his channel monetized, and he is doing just fine.
i dont even watch from twitch since i find watching hour long streams boring, but id often see things on my feed here on youtube rambling about twitch and how they treat their content creators and the content space in general and thats just crazy ☠☠
I'ma save this video to my Watch later so I don't forget about all the helpful information. Thanks Mtashed for being smarter than me because I know for fact I would have never found out about this
wait so you're saying that Twitch is the best platform to start streaming?
Love ya Tash'd! This is actually total BS and I'm sorry you didn't get to reap the rewards of your streams over the last few years, but it's awesome of you to share this info with everyone else to keep others from the same predicament!
I mean with Twitch being so ad heavy I would assume there is a great incentive to run them
Brother you have the work ethic and data analysis skills of a good businessman. If you go into a different industry I assure you, you can get millions in a year. Pick a niche, analyze your target customer and sell products 👏
this changes everything 😂
Money not made is money lost, get the bag bro. If this is the variety content, I am up for it.
Can't lose what you never had
HUH??
Haven't watched, its paypal refund scam right?
I say go for it bro secure the bag👍💰 it’s impossible to please everyone.🤷🏾♂️💯
Yea i get like 7 min ads when I click to your stream for the first time that day
Great info 👍
Wtf I didn't know Mtashed was this liquid.
Based for not showing us ads 😎
damn, that sucks so much I almost wish this was clickbait.
7 mins of ads are insane though, if you run that many ads you should really take a global ad break for everyone in chat where you pause the game run the ad, so people dont miss most of the stream.
This changes everything 😭 😭 😭
Add the juicy $ before the 500k in the title Mr Tashed
dont watch much gacha content anymore but love these types of videos tash man
Feels bad man, loosing out on that opportunity! Oh well, lesson learnt!
so what he's saying is don't join the ad incentive program, and just run your own ads every top of the hour or so?
Opposite. The twitch program gave bad numbers which made it look worse but the numbers were way higher. Idk if twitch shadow changed it or not.
@crowing3886 okay so, accept the ad incentive program, and run your own ads manually?
@@charlesdovideo it seems like you can do both but the ad program does waay more than advertised which was the issue.
Financial Guru arc
Imagine how much twitch makes frome those adds that they give you this much
i honestly thought this was about drama lol
This would have changed everything
THIS WOULD'VE CHANGED EVERYTHING!
We understand ads between crucial parts is disappointing but that doesn't mean im gonna close your stream!
Ugh the pain reading that
This is actually amazing information. Jeesus...
Danm ! I really need to start streaming because I am in the wrong business!
wait i’m a new streamer how do i activate this? 😭
You can’t. It’s something you get offered after you produce some numbers so yea, time to grind
Poor MTashed 😢😂
Lost is when you had the cash in your hands and then lost possession of it. This is more "missed out".
Run ads like you're in a Tv show, live sports have shit ton of em but none are complaining about it.
It's ok Mr Michael Tashed I'd be annoyed too if I lost out on so much potential money bcs of Twitch's lies
holy what?
oh umm... i thought you had to paid them those 500k
i think your dream job is an accountant
at least he can get more revenue now
I knew Streamer/RUclips money was ridiculous but I didn't know it applied to people with viewers as low as this! 😮
400 viewers in twitch is actually alot compared to youtube, imagine 400 people hanging out in your house at the same time
400 viewers are thousands upon thousands of people to be able to stay at around 400 people there has to be a huge influx of people leaving and entering the stream. The unique viewers to stay at 400 consistent viewers is a lot.
But it doesn't say that you'd get $750 for 61 hours of streaming, it's saying you'd get $750 and that amount is based on 61 hours of stream data.
It's not saying that's what you'll get for streaming for 61 hours in any way.
It's just saying you'll make that much money. During what time period? No idea, it doesn't seem to mention that. But it does not say 61 hours of streaming.
It's definitely confusing, but to think it's paying that amount it shows for 61 hours is sadly just a very poor assumption.
Twitch also stated in the article when they made these changes in April that you get 55% net ad revenue if you opt in to this. They have several articles about this:
"Partners will still be shown three recommendations for the ads run per hour during a stream. To start earning 55% net revenue, you’ll still need to select one of them."
Got some dark circles brother, make sure your kidneys are okay.
Think on the bright side, since you didn't run ads, you probably got less viewers leaving
This is actually so sad to watch. i get about 3x less the viewers than you on avg and with it enabled we make about the same. Sorry this happended man holy i didn't realize how bad this was to not have enabled
That's rough
what the flip?!?
I know im in the minority but id actually be interested in hearing more about your buisness related experiences
START STREAMING YA'LL 😭
Twitch is pissed off at you, too. You most likely had to opt in for the company to give extra benefits to Twitch. A promo to push ads the companies were willing to pay into. So Twitch lost out on extra income as well when their users opted out.
