He talks of loyalty yet he went rouge from the JTF, he talks of hordes of degenrates yet it was because of him that the outcasts exist thanks to what he did a Roosevelt island and saying about the corruption in government he is the corruption as he went AWOL. Ridgeway was tasked to help people and he left them to die. Sure some of them would but it would've made their passing a lot more comfortable. But there were people who would get better. Ridgeway is worse than Barret by a large margin. Barret was savage and ruthless cut throat killer from the start. Ridgeway was an oathbreaker and a treasonous bastard. I at the least respected the Rikers position being left to die as they held no value in society. Ridgeway took Col. Bliss mentality to the nth degree. He deserved nothing but a rather horrible death for not upholding the Oath to which he pledged his loyalty.

yeah, same here. the hyena's were just bad scavengers and gangsters. the outcasts are bad, but for a good reason, considering their story. but ridgeway was the worst, he turned his back on everything his unit stood for and everyone he was suppose to protect, he doesn't care about anyone who isn't among his ranks, he cares only for himself and those in his unit. to him, everyone else is expendable. in the end, he's no different than the hyena's, just better trained and better equipped. thats it. and it makes me sick that these ''true sons'' were once JTF, people who were suppose to maintain order, people who were trained to serve their country and its people, yet they turned their back on it all, just so they could live, while everyone else starves and struggles to survive. well, with the arrival of the division, they got a huge wake up call, not with a clock or a timer, but with a bullet through their heads.
I proudly wear my JTF uniform, especially when fighting the True Sons. The JTF don’t always get things right. They are spread thin, but doing their best and laying down their lives to make things better. I admire the JTF even more than The Division

Garrett B NCR You’re right. The JTF do nothing in the second game which is kind of odd when you think about it. I was more influenced by the Broken Dawn book.
Wasn't much the JTF could do, considering they got pulled out of Washington, leaving just a skeleton crew. They just didn't have the numbers, so they had to rely on the civilian militia to patrol the streets.
The whole point of the LMB was to ensure a controlled rule to stabilize New York, I mean I am playing through The Division again, and you see the horrible the situation was and they didn't initially betray the people they where hired out by, as they where totally left behind, just as the First Wave had. Besides the Cleaners wanting to destroy the virus, rioters just trying to get what they need to survive by forming gangs, and the LMB providing order.
It seems that the True Sons are worse than that of the Rikers in the fact that they didn't begin as criminals, but differently feel justified in their atrocities, while the Rikers just indulged in utmost violence.
Now of course with all the enemy factions there is the darker theme. With the cleaners they couldn't differentiate with the virus, and employed the type of Draconian Solution as Faye Lau put it during the Hudson Yards Mission. The Rioters often at times also try to take what the WANT, and not what the NEED often being low level bullies to the several people left in New York struggling to survive. The LMB are defiantly fascist due to their no toleration of anyone who won't join them and have a single minded goal with seemingly no exceptions to that ideology. But the TS are seemingly worse than the factions encountered in the first game.

Hey mate, big shoutout for your work on this Channel. Specially I appreciate your dedication when doing (not only) lore vids. The footage in the background always fits perfectly while you’re speaking, the Music from the iconic Div Theme and THAT voice! Just perfect 👍
Although several people in the comments already point it out, I'd also like to point a few things out about..well a few things I find interesting about the True Sons and a few points as well. Ridgeway speaks of loyalty, yet he himself turned against the JTF. That True Sons should be loyal, yet a True sons member let us into the Air and Space Museum after seeing what they were doing there. Is about order yet often the citizens under their boot are extorted yet receive little in return (protection that the True Sons can't deliver on). Try to convince Division agents to go rogue in their propaganda, but also try to turn people against them. And obviously he talks about how degenerates and people who would see the demise of society is against them yet both factions Outcast and Hyenas can be traced to his actions. The Outcasts due to the mistreatment under the JTF under his orders. Hyenas were merely gangs that were against each other, but Coyote seeing the problem of the True Sons convinced the gangs to band together as the Hyenas. And the "Acceptable Losses" comms that you pick up tells me hes not willing to go on the defensive even though it would minimize their losses. (As you listed it, at that point it would have been a better option then to play by the enemies rules.) Just all about the True Sons I find interesting as he and his faction think they can stand alone, don't have to negotiate with anyone, and carry on as if they are the solution to D.C's problems yet were the cause of the two factions. I've would have enjoyed a bit more lore or comms about how they felt about the White House, Division, and such to see how they would have dealt or viewed them, only to find them to be underestimated and bring the downfall of the True Sons.
I like how you covered this. Well done. Also like how open ended you made it considering there’s a chance to expand the lore. Looking forward to the other faction lore videos.
You know with all these groups and their vendettas against each other you can see why they that Ubi was going to make a nonstop war. - True Sons with training and arms who want nothing but domination, bringing non stop fighting and disagreeable methods of controlling. - Outcast a group of infected that blame the Truesons and JTF for horrible mistreatment wanting nothing but revenge, a fight built on concept. - And Hyenas a bunch of drug mixed fiends and previous criminals who want nothing but chaos. Self explanatory Ubi built a non stop war even before we saw Black Tusk. But I believe just like the original factions in Division all of them don’t have the bases to last they are all temporary with no means of long term establishment. Built on the now nor the later
I'm not gonna lie, that video at the end was crazy! When I seen it in game I was a little shocked! The Div 2 was trying go hard! It's a shame Ridgeway died so early in the game. I think all the leader of the factions should still be alive! If only to keep a way open for more content and conflicts. I would love to see an ark with something like the Hyenas completely merging with Rikers and you find out Someone like Mayhem from the Hyenas was Larae Barrett's niece or something. Or maybe the True Sons turn their attention to the BT and we see them engaging each other more ferociously! So many roads to take! Keep the lore vids coming bro! I actually get hyped when I see you dropped a new one
I'm excited for your take on hunters. Literally no concrete idea on who they are lol. I still think they're third wave agents, personally. Hoping to see them in Raids and the DZ later.
I'm with you. Unpleasant, and unscrupulous. And yet, very effective at quelling resistance, enforcing quarantine, and purging the virus. True Sons and Cleaners did nothing wrong.
He was absolutely wrong. One of the audio logs proves that even with the most draconian methods it's impossible to stop the spread of the virus so efforts should be focused on finding a cure and relief efforts
@@AllTheNamesIPickedWereTakenthe sick are always going to be already dead no matter what you do, better to save the healthy and your men if not then the resources will run out and the healthy will die and others won’t even deliver resources and abandon ship when stuff gets worse, so yes the True Sons and General Ridgeway are in the right.

Colonel Rigdeway: “Numbers don’t guarantee victory.” Me: “Neither does being the True Sons, yet you still insist on fighting instead of letting everyone do the work for you.” Colonel Ridgeway’s gun: “Bang!”
Say what you will about them, but I think the True Sons are pretty cool as far as bad guys go. I especially like their outfits, the ripped and ruined service uniforms are pretty unique.
Tbh I think Ubisoft should make dlc where we play as the true sons and hyenas like we play as a character of that faction i think it would be great for more lore and replay of the division 2
Joint Task Force units do exist within the U.S. Army mainly coordinated efforts between law enforcement and the National Guard mainly during natural disasters.
The True sons could have easily been as sympathetic as a few of the rogue agents, but Ridgeway was supreme king of the assholes. there's literally no justification for half the shit he did, and when questioned he mostly just pulled rank. At least Keener has the excuse that he was probably either going insane or the shear monumental stress of the goals he set for himself by creating ANNA made him snap. What was he even trying to accomplish? he basically just gave the finger to anyone who wasn't his soldiers. Even the Cleaners and Rikers had enough sense to know that they had no future unless they took people in. He was outright hostile to people who asked for his help and in turn could have helped him in the long run.
The True Sons are like a far less sympathetic version of the Last Man Battalion. The L.M.B., for all their faults, were trying to build something and, while harsh, they managed to offer the people they protected a chance against the zealous Cleaners and the degenerate Rikers and Rioters. The True Sons are just spiteful raiders. No ideology. No plan. Nothing.
One of the situations where Colonel Ridgeway is talking to Williams of a thriving community reminds me of the Saviors from TWD, give the True Sons supplies and they won’t be attacked for a week.
As far as people saying you did a great job and the game didn't I have to disagree although you did a great job the game does a great job as well and I really admire the way they don't force the story down your throat. It's a loot shooter and they know that. But if you go out and explore you find these interesting snippets of story and they have loot crates wherever they are located rewarding you for learning more about the game. Fantastic video
Hey NGN! For the undergrounders and misc. factions, you could do a video called "Div 2's subfactions", btw how are you liking the division 2? I'm enjoying it as much as I did the first one
Thats actually a good idea. Because I have a little information, but not a huge amount. I'm loving it man, there are a lot of quality of life improvements to the game, but they still have a lot of teething issues. The build diversity is the one that concerns me the most.
DustDemon most likely their tier 1 operators hired by some unknown government but yet I still question on how they can use SHD tech because that’s only division knowledge if you aren’t a agent you don’t know to use their tech so Ubisoft knew what they were doing lol
Awesome video. I've been watching your other division lore videos today as well. Great stuff! BUT 7:29 please don't use 5fps clips... my eyes instantly started hurting.
Ehh not really, like its shitty that they were quarantined but that doesn't give you the right to murder anyone, also for the quarantine the lives of the many outweigh the lives of the few
I do sympathize with the outcasts, but they took things way too far. If they just directed their anger towards Ridgeway and the True Sons, then they wouldn't have been as bad. But as Kelso put it, what they are doing is beyond the pale. That's where the line is drawn.

@Random28 the LMB tried to save civilians as well , even if it was harsh treatment
Yea they’re wearing JTF standard “military pants” and torn up dress blues as a shiry
Hey mate, big shoutout for your work on this Channel. Specially I appreciate your dedication when doing (not only) lore vids. The footage in the background always fits perfectly while you’re speaking, the Music from the iconic Div Theme and THAT voice! Just perfect 👍
Ridgeway's manner of speaking reminds me of the HR leader from Person of Interest.
(As you listed it, at that point it would have been a better option then to play by the enemies rules.)
Just all about the True Sons I find interesting as he and his faction think they can stand alone, don't have to negotiate with anyone, and carry on as if they are the solution to D.C's problems yet were the cause of the two factions.
Its weird but I love the true sons as a faction the whole survival of the fittest thing plus they look pretty coll
Dude the true sons are just boots thru and thru ... Basic training completed they are fresh recruit's basically their marine and army ARNG
Self explanatory
Ubi built a non stop war even before we saw Black Tusk.
Your videos are definitely one of the top highlights of my subscriptions.
I didn't expect you to get to these so quickly! Thankyou! Amazing lore vid bro
Of all the factions in the game I think I despise these animals the most. Taking out their leader at the capitol building was very satisfying.
Ridgeway choose his men over the civilian in his eyes he was loyal to his soldiers
That one dislike is a truesons member
This gotta be my favorite series. Keep it up
There’s something I recently noticed about them. Their logos on their arms and sometimes heads are carvings into their skin and a tattoo.
Been waiting for these, even though i already know the lore of these factions, it's much better watching your videos
He's back! Time to get on with the lore!
I like how some of the True Sons are afraid of Ridgeway
True Sons sounds like a blend of LMB and Cleaners
Nah, LMB & Rikers. Ridgeway is like a blend of Col. Bliss & Larea Barrett; truly, a despicable antagonist.
Can't wait for the next one =) The way you tell the story is much more entertaining than we get it in game.
I'm excited for your take on hunters. Literally no concrete idea on who they are lol. I still think they're third wave agents, personally. Hoping to see them in Raids and the DZ later.
Loving this content i know im late to the bash but something about the division lore is extremely fascinating. Thank you for this.
LMB and True Sons are pretty badass, have to say.
I really enjoyed tearing apart the True Sons and millie rocking Ridgeway.
Once again you hit it out of the park, thank you for the videos!
Ridgeway wasn’t exactly wrong. I think the True Sons and Ridgeway are like Joe Ferro and the Cleaners.
I'm with you.
Unpleasant, and unscrupulous. And yet, very effective at quelling resistance, enforcing quarantine, and purging the virus.
True Sons and Cleaners did nothing wrong.
We don't know why we killed them for?
He was absolutely wrong. One of the audio logs proves that even with the most draconian methods it's impossible to stop the spread of the virus so efforts should be focused on finding a cure and relief efforts
Mr HappyFace I genuinely think the cleaners weren’t that bad, however ridgeway is a bit of an asshole but I can understand his mindset
I proudly wear my True Sons vest. These guys are my favorite faction
Jake Mustard Uh. thematically? otherwise go to a mental hospital
@@littlebiglsteele4158 in the game dumbass
@@littlebiglsteele4158 Bruh... I may be a vet but I'm not That crazy.. yet lol
But the vest is an item I got in game. Its pretty badass lookin and yea the True Sons are pretty cool; albeit a lil crazy
Jake Mustard just fucking with you. enjoy that vest goddamnit :)
@@littlebiglsteele4158 good shit buddy lol
Colonel Rigdeway:
“Numbers don’t guarantee victory.”
Me:
“Neither does being the True Sons, yet you still insist on fighting instead of letting everyone do the work for you.”
Colonel Ridgeway’s gun:
“Bang!”
Say what you will about them, but I think the True Sons are pretty cool as far as bad guys go. I especially like their outfits, the ripped and ruined service uniforms are pretty unique.
That shot to the head is just COLD...!
Been waiting so long for this
Can’t wait for more man! Keep it up!
I love the lore and story of The Division. Thanks to your videos, I can enjoy them more.
Your videos are absolutely amazing, can't wait for more of these!
Great voice/ambiance !
Tbh I think Ubisoft should make dlc where we play as the true sons and hyenas like we play as a character of that faction i think it would be great for more lore and replay of the division 2
Loving your lore videos man, please keep them coming!
It’s really immersion breaking when they’re the “JTF” which is the Canadian special forces unit
Joint Task Force units do exist within the U.S. Army mainly coordinated efforts between law enforcement and the National Guard mainly during natural disasters.
Cory Weber JTF is mostly an American joint task force- JTF2 is Canadian
The squeak sound after the doctor slides off the good of the car, actually make me snicker
Another great video, I appreciate your time and effort in making these video's. Please keep up the great work and I'll keep coming back for more.
No plan. Nothing.
I enjoy deleting them
Yay story time I love all your lore vids NGN keep it up
Still prefer LMB as a enemy
That fucking intro though...🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Can't wait for the next video. Keep it up! ❤
Great job! Keep them coming please. 👍🏼
Another awesome video mate!
why do you only have 25k subs?? got dammm good shit bro
LOL thanks dude!
You've earned a subscriber, this is an amazing video
One of the situations where Colonel Ridgeway is talking to Williams of a thriving community reminds me of the Saviors from TWD, give the True Sons supplies and they won’t be attacked for a week.
Good stuff, I always feel brainier after watching these vids.
it defenatly gives reason to love or hate the characters in a game haveing videos about lore of a game
More please! These videos are great! 👍
Another fantastic video .. keep them comming plz
I love your video thank you for making this unique and interesting content. Keep up the good work.
Hey NGN! For the undergrounders and misc. factions, you could do a video called "Div 2's subfactions", btw how are you liking the division 2? I'm enjoying it as much as I did the first one
That would be awesome
Thats actually a good idea. Because I have a little information, but not a huge amount.
I'm loving it man, there are a lot of quality of life improvements to the game, but they still have a lot of teething issues. The build diversity is the one that concerns me the most.
Love these vids. Keep them comming!
Bit late but great video, really looking forward to the next video! :)
Great video this faction is cruel and I hope you do more faction lore videos.
i really hope the Hunters are the 3rd wave
DustDemon most likely their tier 1 operators hired by some unknown government but yet I still question on how they can use SHD tech because that’s only division knowledge if you aren’t a agent you don’t know to use their tech so Ubisoft knew what they were doing lol
very well put together video i love it
Hold stil, True Sons: Running from me will only make you die tired !
My favorite Div 2 enemy faction!
My favourite are the Outcasts, the True Sons & Black Tusk.
Awesome video. I've been watching your other division lore videos today as well. Great stuff!
BUT
7:29 please don't use 5fps clips... my eyes instantly started hurting.
Awesome video, ty !
I actually can't wait for the next ones
All of these are villains. At least Cleaners and LMB had good intentions
Out of all the factions I feel some sympathy for the outcasts
Ehh not really, like its shitty that they were quarantined but that doesn't give you the right to murder anyone, also for the quarantine the lives of the many outweigh the lives of the few
I do sympathize with the outcasts, but they took things way too far. If they just directed their anger towards Ridgeway and the True Sons, then they wouldn't have been as bad. But as Kelso put it, what they are doing is beyond the pale. That's where the line is drawn.
I’m hoping the next one will be outcasts they are my favorite group
I'm def riding with the true sons
When he "You will be wrote in history as heroes"
me and friend as a joke "Yo i want that lets join them"
I feel like bliss and ridgeway would get along great
those who think themselves the only one who hold the solution is part of the problem
I wish the game had the ability to tell this story better omg
the ending cutscene is hella savage
He gone power hungry
i find it ironic how the deserter antwon executed was named "antonio castillo" and the far cry 6 antagonist is named "Anton castillo"
