The first time I heard the voice of God I was 11 years old and He was telling me about something traumatic that I was about to experience but to not fear because I was going to be ok. That was a transformative moment in my life because from that single event the next 20 years of my life would be a whirlwind and at 31 years old I am just now getting the revelation that He chose that moment to speak to me for the first time and tell not to fear to get me through more than just the actual event but what was going to come as a result of it. I now know that Word was also my anointing and the next 20 years was the shaking and the sifting God had to do to bring me forth in His divine timing. I will never forget that moment and I can testify that even when I was lost and consumed by pain, fear, and anger; I wasn't even talking to God for over 17 years because I was so angry and God NEVER LEFT me. So for anyone who feels like they can't hear Him or feel condemnation because they've turned their backs on Him so you say to yourself why would He use me? I am a testimony that His word stands true always and forever. No matter what YOU DO He has NOT and NEVER will LEAVE YOU. You are not damaged goods and God can and will turn that mess into His message. That's what He did for me and I know He will do the same for you!
I was led to these conversations off the back of the conversation Tim had with Jackie Hill Perry. My life will never be the same! I am so thankful to be lead to listen to those that LOVE Him the same way I do, who cannot get enough of Him. Do not stop!!! HE is setting the world on FIRE! 🔥

The timing could not have been more divine, I’ve been praying to clearly hear God’s voice in this season of Major transition and it also caused me to reflect on the first time I heard His voice. May the Lord pour back into you for the obediance of allowing us to have a seat in these “David and Jonathan convos “ . The Leader’s cut and The Basement have been Life Changing for me. That first word of God being the best word Tim's had - that had me emotional at the end. I felt that. The fact that God speaks to us to pull us out of our messes when we aren't seeking Him out...that is some crazy love. What a good, good Father.

Tim and Preston, it's such an honour to watch the God of the Universe pull up a chair to your chats. I can't with you two. Thank you so much for clearing up the fact that we won't always bat 1000 but I have to keep availing myself. I've been wrestling with this especially when He asks me to deliver a love note that simply don't math in my mind. I pray that God will continue to bless you both wildly.
I can tell God spoke to both of you on doing this episode because this timing is crazy.
I heard God say “not now” to me about 2 weeks ago and I kept asking when and I’ve been praying about it almost everyday.
This made me think about how when he’s spoken to me it’s always been clear. So when it’s time he’ll tell me. Until then I just have to wait. Thank you for being obedient and sharing this word.

Around the 12-14 minute mark is relevant today. There are many in Church that don't hear from God, especially in leadership roles. And many are deceived thinking it's God they are hearing from.
When I hear from God, it points me to Bible,it brings fruit of spirit, and sometimes He uses analogy to help me solve problems.
I can't say I've heard an audible voice, but He does put thoughts in my mind. Most times after I've gotten still.
To the extent that my child wants to hear from me, is the extent that they will be in my word!! My God!

This Word was awesome because there are times that we only see from one perspective until God reveals the other. Today what was on my mind, even after years and years of attending church, praying and reading my Bible, for some reason I need to hear and know God’s voice, so I simply entered Hearing God’s Voice And I believe this is where his Holy Spirit guided me to

I've been telling my mom one of the major reasons for SOME of the failings we see in the Church is that we've excluded the Holy Spirit from the work of Salvation. We just don't have the power to BE witnesses without Him.
And it is agonizingly scary that Jesus our Savior is saying to the Church in Revelation, I'm outside knocking to come in. If anyONE hears my voice and lets me in... Father.... Shouldn't we all... if we're in what Jesus refers to as a church.
Paul reminds the Believers in Hebrews, "Today if you hear his voice, harden not your hearts," because even today, even Believers, harden our hearts to God's voice.

I'd say this was the cherry on a huge sundae the Lord has been dishing out all week, but that would be minimizing what's going on right now. I will say this was a final confirmation that what I've been hearing -- not just the past week during the last Leader's Cut but I realized tonight before I watched this video that it's been over a month now -- was in fact his voice. And I'm convinced it happened because my time in his word was ratcheted up exponentially in an effort to keep up with a group study. He spoke 5 times in the same week, confirming the same thing then ending by taking me back to something he said a month ago and casting a whole new light that connected it to the word from this past week. I'm freaking done, man! I can't take anymore! Lord, I thought you were speaking differently, louder, but you aren't. I'm just hearing you better. My ears are popping and you are coming in loud and clear. Please. Do. Not. Stop. Ever.

This is sooooo on point. I listen to another teacher who is so anointed. So much so that someone else used a quote of his but didn't give credit where it was due and I was annoyed. For real!! Because I knew the quote did not belong to the person who was saying it. That's how I am about the preached word and I am learning to appreciate God's voice more and more. Wow. Thank you both.
