0:18 "the best gift that you can give to your kids is a healthy version of you..." same with spouses: they dont need monetary needs, the most that you can give them is :YOU! Totally agree with the saying "no". Its a "illegal " word for most. But love to say it with meaning and showing that I care! Love these kinds of videos - please do more!
I am literally hiding in my bathroom from my kids to watch this video… It’s like “mom mom mom mom MOM!!!” Private Bathroom visit is my mental health treatment lol
I agree with everything..... but saying social media can be self care is self sabotage. LOVE YOU GUYS! You are pure souls that deserve all of life's happiness!
Right? If I saw them on the street I'd think she was a teen Mom! Sometimes I feel the same way about Taylor but then I picture him in new balance sneakers and the effect wears off quickly.
This is so friggin awesome!! Understanding that our mental, physical, emotional and sexual health are ALL connected. Our kids imitate us. It's important that they see us love ourselves and see how we take care of ourselves.
I think it is important to recharge and try to make time to do things you enjoy outside of just your role as a parent and spouse. A lot of times, parents give so much to other people, work or their community that they are worn out all the time. I am always encouraging my friends to make self care a priority and that it is important in restoring your energy and contentment.
This is pretty good. Not only the tips, but the fact that we need to remember of doing things to keep our mental health in check. Things get hard with kids...
Girls night out...I love it. But I don't have a lot of girl friends who are available. So I like to grocery shop, clean the church or garden alone. The Hotel a mile away is so true! We live in the woods, so the nearest city is where we go. Went off for a night without the kids and just refreshed our relationship 🥰 we do this at least once a year but try for 2-3 times. It seems simple but it works.
If you could LIKE something multiple times, I would on this video. I agree on doing the mundane tasks and being able to focus on something that’s on your brain and really let it be therapeutic. Also, music is my happy place too. I love watching you guys. Thank you for being willing to put your lives on display like this, and allowing us to relate with you about all the things. P.S. Come to Ohio !
This is a valuable service you guys provide. It's that "How To" and "Been There" knowledge we use to get from our seniors, before we all moved 1,000s of miles from our seniors. Good stuff. God bless.
I agree on NO... I've had clouds of small kids around me often and I found that every sixth or seventh time, I say no instead of yes. Since I always say Yes whenever I can, I need to make sure the kids know how to accept NO as an answer. I tell them that I always say Yes when I can, so if they can't accept my No, when it has to be no, then I can't say Yes anymore.
Yes! Just say no. To your kids, your husband, your friends. Not all the time but sometimes you just have to say no and you're not a bad person. And when you do it's in those moments you can develop yourself and do the hobbies and things you love. Because taking a bath is nice, but if that's your only me time then you never get to paint that picture or learn that skill that you've always dreamed of. Then when your kids move out you've forgotten who you are.
Oh my gosh - you guys are so stinkin' cute. Laughter is the best medicine, but I gotta say - I have the same issue... Hubby can rarely be serious! HA HA! Love the video.
As a Massage Therapist I want to suggest that Heidi go get some therapeutic massages to loosen her neck muscles on the right side. Her head is always tilted to the right and slightly rotated. That is an indication of tight neck and shoulder muscles. And it's part of self-care, so on theme with this video! 💆🏻♀️
I get a deep tissue massage every month. It is life changing! It's astounding the amount of knots and muscle tension we all have and can still function.
Could be a lot of things. Head tilting is a normal social body language behavior, more common in women. Site compensation, a social thing (tilting the head often brings rewards socially), the brain judging depth perception, etc. Lol, your tilting your head in your photo!
NUCCA, which stands for the National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association, is a technique that focuses on the unique anatomy of the upper cervical spine. It is a safe and painless way to realign the entire spine with a precise upper cervical adjustment.
I really love the phrasing of "we love our kids AND we need some time to ourselves occasionally to recharge(...)", it's a very dialectic way of perceiving and describing. I am in a therapy group where we learn how much the phrasing changes point of view and valuing of things. Because needing self care time does not change anything about how much you love your kids, and the other way around, because both are very important and healthy and do not compromise or contradict each other, so there's no need for a relativation. Nice work on that one, I'm a big fan. :)
Hang in there y'all! Our oldest of four is now 12 and youngest is 4 2 others in there. The house is loud and dirty. It's hard. Life is hard so often. But The Lord is sooo good. Press on y'all
Tyler: "Do you need a hug?" Heidi: "I'll always take a hug." As she hugs Tyler but he doesn't put down his wake board and give said hug. SMH 😉😊 Love you guys!!! You always make me laugh or feel better after one of your videos. Keep on keepin on!!!
I loved this! Music is huge for me too, I know that I need it and when I should have it, but I find it so hard to actually make it happen. Thanks for sharing!
I would add, in the winter time when there's enough snow, a nearby free sledding hill. Great cardio and fun and fresh air all alone but even better, a blast, with your kids. Friends and loved ones works too! 👍 Best, cheapest, funnest workout you can get in the winter. In the summer, I would say chasing and playing with your kids on the playground.
Can we just get together and drink some Coors Light? 🤣🤣🤣 we would totally get along well. In all seriousness super awesome light hearted videos as always. I always like to make my wife laugh too 😂
Been subscribed for ages! Love that u listen to music/ I’ve gotten away from it and I’m going thru really hard times My kids are three teenagers, and I miss terribly the years you’re dealing with. Teens are so much harder. In different ways.
Heidi, you could develop a playlist for the inspirational music you use. And playlists for your different activities. I don’t know what platforms you use, but I like the one that starts with “spot” and ends with “ify”. I’ll be looking for one. Really enjoy the show.
Something that isn't explaining to a 4 year old *immediately looks at husband* I busted out laughing lol, I know she didn't do this on purpose though xD
I watch Dude dad for my mental health because Laughter really is the best medicine!

"Not having to explain something to a 4 year old". Preach!
I am literally hiding in my bathroom from my kids to watch this video…
It’s like “mom mom mom mom MOM!!!”
Private Bathroom visit is my mental health treatment lol
Yes!! 😂😂
I about lost my crap the other day. And part of it is because I know it’s not my kids’ fault but it’s hard!!
We had to put a porta potty in our driveway when we remodeled our downstairs bathroom. That thing is the best! No one can find you in there!
I couldn't even get through this 8 minute video without interruptions from kids.
Same! 😆
*nods* That's because it is much longer than 30 seconds.
Agreed lol
Listen while at work
@@K3MM0N I work from home. I usually listen to these videos in bed.
I don't know what either of you would do without each other. You balance each other so well.
my yard, it's my zen time plus the compliments from the neighborhood makes me feel good lol
Just having both parents in the home will be a huge mental health bonus for our kids.
Not necessarily. My mom and her siblings are permanently scarred from their parents marriage.
I think it’s more about having two parents who like each other.
I agree with everything..... but saying social media can be self care is self sabotage. LOVE YOU GUYS! You are pure souls that deserve all of life's happiness!
So sweet…..”are you going thru something? Do you need a hug?”
Some of the best, clean fun laughs given in todays world!!
Amen!!
I think it's 'cause they're so genuine!
How the heck does Heidi look so incredible? I'd like a list of vitamins and skin care items that she uses. You guys are amazing.
I know. She seems to just snap back to a thin, curvy frame after every pregnancy! She's lovely

Date night ,you deserve it. Love you guys .
Taylor and Heidi you are great parents

This was Soooo good! One of my favorites. So honest and "insightful."🤣🤣
I'm with you Heidi, Music is my Best Therapy 🙌🙌🙌♥️♥️♥️
Prayer! Guys come on. Also the way Taylor looks @ Heidi is so ridiculously sweet.
This is pretty good. Not only the tips, but the fact that we need to remember of doing things to keep our mental health in check. Things get hard with kids...

I'm so excited! Taylor and Heidi are amazing parents!
My "check out" time is spent watching Dude Dad videos. ;)
Love this channel- so entertaining. I love the fact you guys have a strong relationship, honest, lots of humour, realistic challenges.

I’m both of these. 😂 As a stay-at-home mom of 3 boys 5 and under, I have a long list of outlets..
Y’all are good for my mental health. Thank you!
Love these tips! Always nice to hear things like this to motivate you and put things you already know fresh on your mind!
💚💚 *I feel you Heidi, music is my therapy*
Freaking love Heidi! She's the best.
LOVE YOU TWO!!! Thank you for those tips, Blessings!!🙏🏽
Ooo, can we get a peek into your playlists?!? Especially the uplifting/encouraging ones!
Heidi is so lovely
This is a valuable service you guys provide. It's that "How To" and "Been There" knowledge we use to get from our seniors, before we all moved 1,000s of miles from our seniors. Good stuff. God bless.
I have bipolar disorder and this was great to watch, you both have me some good ideas. Love ya
Kinda surprised Heidi didn't say coffee (or in her case creamer) 😂 thanks for the vids y'all
Heidi I totally feel you, never serious! My husband too!
I agree on NO... I've had clouds of small kids around me often and I found that every sixth or seventh time, I say no instead of yes. Great tips!!! Y'all are the best. ❤️👍😆🤣
The way he’s looking at her when she’s talking 😍❤️

Heidi’s #3-so important!!

I think we can all use this mom vs dad to learn more about each other in your relationship. You can each come up with a subject and do this.

Thumbs up for the FARRRRTT!!! 🤣😂🤣😂

Heidi looks fabulous! 🤗
Hang in there y'all! Our oldest of four is now 12 and youngest is 4 2 others in there. The house is loud and dirty.
It's hard. Life is hard so often. But The Lord is sooo good.
Press on y'all
Your yin and yang is fun to watch! You rock, guys!
Tyler: "Do you need a hug?"
Heidi: "I'll always take a hug." As she hugs Tyler but he doesn't put down his wake board and give said hug. SMH 😉😊
Love you guys!!! You always make me laugh or feel better after one of your videos. Keep on keepin on!!!
"Soaking in that Colorado sun" while being fully covered neck to ankle?!?

I wish we got more snow where I live. That sounds awesome!
Thanks for being real. Can totally relate. Esp about the music thing vs negative thoughts.
6:27 you guys should try Mimi Page’s dreamy, cinematic and ethereal songs.
This guys is SO important!!
All I could think of is "I've got a headache" LOL!!!!!
😂 “Mines lets hang out!”
My time is the shower. I can tune the world out for a few minutes and just relax. No phone, no kids, nothing.
The pictures on their fridge are amazing!
Thank you guys for being you!
This was very sweet, very helpful, and very funny. Thank you for the tips (mainly Heidi 😉)
I love you guys! I needed the laughs! And validation!

Oh girl I know what you mean when you're talking about the music and needing to listen to encouraging songs. Totally understood ya.
I think she was looking for “therapeutic” but mom brain is real.
Love this and you two so much!
I would love to know some of Heidi’s favorite playlists of music!
I think she was looking for “rewarding “ ;)
Been subscribed for ages! Love that u listen to music/ I’ve gotten away from it and I’m going thru really hard times My kids are three teenagers, and I miss terribly the years you’re dealing with. Teens are so much harder. In different ways.
Love you guys!! All great ideas!
Laughter and Zoloft 🙌🏼 the best medicine (for me at least!)
Heidi, yes, music makes my soul happy. I also love Lauren Daigle! And you guys.
Let's be honest, you like pressure washing because you can't hear anyone while you're doing it lol
The Bible says that laughter is medicine!
