Some impressive fish right there John….I think what I like about your channel is the “bread and butter” fishing you do. Unlike others with fish sounders, mapping and all the modern tech…you rely on years of experience. Now if only I could tap into that experience. Thanks for sharing John.
Thanks Mark. I only use my sounded for depth. The whiting in the Coomera - you are best to try and fish on the edge of the channels and as the tide comes in even on top of the banks in about 1.5 to 1.8 metres of water.
It doesn't matter if it is in the Nerang or Coomera - I always prefer to fish on the edge of the channel from a sand bank drop off. In saying that - you will catch them in 1.5 - 2 metre of water on a sand bank.

Do you ever like to fish deep holes in the coomera or Nerang for elbow slappers, or is it best to work the channe olr sandbanks
