@@TomleyRC what are you guys like comparing willys, 😂 Man this thing is so cool and I’m loving that case too, these mini true to scale models are killing it right now, hmm that would look great next to my jimny.. great video as always mate have a good week 👍
Wow that is beautiful! I really liked the trip to the store, it was fun to tag along lol. And don't worry, I have found myself to call almost every RC on my channel awesome as well. Guess that is what happens when you love the hobby, pure joy to drive almost any rc
Yes, wow and wow, are the words! Amazing attention to detail. And the leaf springs do a pretty good scale movement job when it's in low gear! Super impressed! Now all we need it a Landy of similar quality!
This model's hugely desirable to me. It's the same scale as a WPL C34, and would be great fun to run next to a C34 with its roof removed. By the way, Phil - I enjoyed the trip to your local toy shop to find a driver figure for this awesome Jeep.
Holy cow that’s clean. I watched this video late at night after a long day of work and accidentally dozed off for a split second and the next thing I see is it covered in mud. I almost let out a little scream. Was not expecting that surprise lol
Really awesome little model, Tomley! 😃 It's a bit expensive... My my father said he wants one! 😂 Maybe I get 2 some day. 😬 Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
I have the 1/6th scale version of this because I collect 12" WWII action figures. Great piece. You can buy 6 inch WWII figures that will accommodate your jeep from Dragon in Dream inc.
Think small scale cars provide that middle ground between modelling and being functional, without a doubt the small scale stuff is growing in the hobby, however to me the large scale stuff will always be king in regards to functionality/bashability to me at least. I need to get myself a small scale RC to work on and drive indoors when the weather is rubbish in the coming winter though.
NIIICE! Actually looks a very accurate model of the thing out of the box ...... my jeep has been getting that good with much patient re engineering. If I were to offer the faintest of criticisms, the headlamp apertures in the front grill of the real thing are slightly egg shaped, rather like Ray Ban Aviator sunglasses, not round. But that is really tiny biting insect picking. Fabulous.
Hi Phil trust you to get ya Willey's out ,great little Jeep ,shame they couldn't get the same detail in the large one ,I see that Joules got his out now you don't have to encourage the kiwi's much should make Amber smile lol
Small high scale cheaper RCs have always been King in my eyes. The customising of one into an original put your own mark on it thing make it a real joy 😊 Why have 1 expensive fast RC you will crash and break when you can have lots you won't for the same price. 😉 obviously fast bigger ones are still sick but you know what I'm saying..
@@TomleyRC also satisfaction when fixing, upgrading any RC really or just looking at them on a shelf! ...there is something for everyone... such a community feel no matter which area you delve into, drifting, crawling, bashing, speed running etc This is the best hobby 👌🏻 and im sure others agree, massively helped by your channel content 👍🏻 Thanks for replying 😀
Great review as always, I have a number of jeeps and this version is the best lots of detail, probably as close as you will get. The transmitter has lots of light feature modes, so blinkers off. There are a number of clothed articulated figures and parts out there. It is going to be a big seller.
Dude in the still frame it looks like a real jeep in the mud.. I mean its liable to fool you at first glance that’s how well made it is.. perfect to scale it’s like you shrank a real jeep it’s bananas 🍌..
Is it waterproof Tomley I just got my 1:12 scale willys rochobby jeep and need to know if I need to waterproof it Please sir I beg you I've been tring to find out since I got it last month haven't seen anything about it looked everywhere
Hi there I’ve just been on there website and this is $99 on sale rtr seems a bit cheap 🤔 is there tax once it arrives in uk? I darent press buy as that’s usually when all costs mount up for shipping etc
In movies about WW2. This is the squadron comannder's Jeep stolen by the brash Yank fighter pilot to go have a snog (?) with the hot nurse who patched him up after his run in with Messerscmitts and a bunch of Fokkers. Nice model.
This thing is a piece of arse ! Attention to details are great 👍 and leaf spring suspension 🙀 steering wheel 2 ratio transmission geez I love it thanks for your great upload 🙏
As you maybe remember my first car was a 42 Ford GPW Jeep and that thing is pretty spot on to how I remember mine being built. Still the 1941 early Willys MB Jeep had a slat grill instead of stamped like my 42 Ford had, and I recently found out no glove box, and probably some other minor differences I'm not aware of. Willys alone built the early 41 Jeeps and Ford started building them as well in 42 on with the new easier to make stamped grill that willys immediately adopted so they both could build them as fast as possible and have standard parts so everything would fit either one in the field. But that's just a little niggling as that thing is beautiful and most folks don't know the full history of them. I probably can't talk myself into affording one but it should drive and everything just like a real one and sure brings back memories.
Some of the 1:14 - 1:12 scale are ok but most small scale sucks for realistic driving as they just dont have enough weight in them to make it realistic, just bounce and skip over everything then roll over. Bought a ftx mini fury....waste of £100, 1:10 all the way if you ask me
I'm still waiting for WpL for an affordable 1:16th scale willys jeep to match all my 1:16th military trucks and 1:16th Tanks all of them seems to be of the wrong scale for what I need. so WPL, Heng Long, or anyone out there ??? 1:16th not any other scale Please !!
Yes they are frand and it suck in the reason that sucks is much you can buy a big car for how much your small one cost I have seen 1 / 12 go for 500 expensive they should make the small ones where everybody can afford them if they can't get the big one
I wish the hobby was on where everybody can afford it like I have to save up and get money I get disability car wrecks brain surgeries I've been through a lot in the cars i I've had to save up for
There’s no way we posted the same video at the same time with the same time 😂 I guess we have the same length Willy 12:18

The detail, and features are amazing! Highly interested in this Jeep! Thanks for the review.
No probs dude
Roc and FMS do have the coolest and best packing hands down!!!!👍👍👍
Agree
Tomley you rock. You have taken an RC car that I could care less about and make a video that I love. Bravo 🎉
Glad you enjoyed it 😎
Terrific vid! The mud at the end was too cool!
Thanks dude
2 years later and I just bought this, for the quality of build with all metal gears and so scale with accessory is an unbeatable offer
Hello Tomley RC! I am a big fan of the Jeep Willis ! This 1/12 version is really very beautiful ! Great video ! Thank you. 👌🏼👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks mate 😎👍
I really appreciate the scale details 🤙⭐
That's a really well spec'd little 1/12th scale rig Phil,I doubt that we'll find anything else around with spec's as good as this.
Yes, I agree
Cool crawler you could make that so real!
What a stunning bit of kit
Love the Toy shop trip 👍😆 very well edited much appreciated m8💪💯💥✨
Thanks Pete
box is cool, jeep looks great 😀👌👍👍
A GR Yaris, very nice 😎😎😎
Turn signals and seat belt were an option, I had a 49’ and didn’t even need seatbelts. I did add turn signals😊
Now this is a rad little Jeep! I feel the 1/6 wasn’t right for the set up. Love your videos Tomley!!
Yes, I wish the 1/6 was as scale with the correct suspension
So cool! Love the super scale military rigs🔥🔥🔥💯✅

Yes, it’s a nice model! The trip to the shops was worth it for the Coffee Choc Crunch from Starbucks (although I’m not a big fan of Starbucks usually)
@@TomleyRC The Coffee Choc Crunch did look pretty epic!

the driver looks like a monster in that jeep, id say you got the wrong scale driver there lol
Yeah… he’s a bit tall lol

Sweet looking looks like it needs some more torque for crawling though.
Fun little trail truck and yes I agree it looks 👀 awesome

Yes, I knew you’d like it. I was surprised at the detail, and the 2 speed gearbox in something so small!
It does have metal gears and ball bearings.. I also bought the canvas top and keep it stored under the passenger seat, just like the real thing :)
Watching a .25 and then .50 speed makes it super realistic
Hello, Sir!!
I love the small rc's, they're cheap, indoor fun, blah blah
Thanks for idea and showing the Marvel Legends in there. Was looking for a scale vehicle for 6”-6.5” figures and I don’t think this will work. Thanks!
Why hasn't anyone made a 1:10 scale? I still want one but I want it to be closer to scale with everything else I run.

Do you need to waterproof it I just purchased the rockhobby 1:12scaler mb willys jeep and I'd hate to try it in a puddle and ruin it

How does it compare to the jjrc q65 jeep
Did you need to water proof it ?
Try an old GI-Joe figure. Bet it would be a better fit.

Figure is too big. In a Willys Jeep you will not stick out above the windshield, unless you are a tall bloke or superhero
Well guess what-
He is a superhero.
In theory at least, he’s just a marvel character. (Bucky)
He gets his hight from his grandad
John Wayne did.
