I had two I didn't want to get rid of, 1980 Chevy Malibu 2 door had a 355 with a turbo 350 410 gears and was a hand full to drive. Then there was the 1985 Chevy Caprice two door factory 305 with quadrajet carb and 700R4 trans. I drove that Caprice for about 2 months before I realized that the brake line was pinched off to the rear tires lol. Did an awesome power brake to the tune of wide open in 3rd gear speedometer reading 85 (cause that's all it would read lol) trying to blow it up but it was fine. Sold both of them and actually made some pretty good money on them. Nothing like I would have gotten today, but in the early 2000's everything was cheap. Peace and love y'all 🤟

Where do I start? I had a 1985 silver blue Honda Civic Wagon with push button AWD and the funky 6 speed stick (ultra low first gear in AWD only) GREAT CAR! Had a company work truck in Texas, a 1982 Silverado 6.2 Diesel with a five speed stick, dual twenty gallon fuel tanks and a trick dual range rear end diff ( high and low gears giving you essentially a ten speed hauling vehicle) Bulletproof vehicle that could sit in the 100 plus degree Texas heat idling all day with the AC running full blast. It idled very loud but I loved it! My college buddy's dad bought the Lincoln LSC before anyone knew what it was - very nice car with a very distinct shape, black on black on black! As a teenager I worked as a car wash/detailer/car jockey at my local Datsun/Peugeot/Volvo car dealership. Used to drive the then brand new Maxima and the cherry 280ZXs back and forth between regional dealerships in the area. Saved my money that summer and bought a trick Blaupunkt tape deck for my convertible Tiumph TR8 (Volvos offered optional Blaupunkt stereos at that time). My stepmother had a white on tan 4dr Maverick Sedan with the V8 option - we loved thrashing that car when we borrowed it. One of my best friends had a V6 Ford Capri that he slowly restomodded into a hand built monster. My ex started with a white 5 speed Diesel Rabbit 4dr (50 plus miles to the gallon but slow as Christmas) and moved on to a lovely 1985 Rabbit Cabriolet in a rose/grey mettalic paint and black interior and the quirky but sturdy basket handle roll bar/hoop. Many wonderful sunny days in that little gem. She cried when it had to go. Nice little trip down memory lane there guys. Keep it up!
I had a 69 Charger for 10 years. Matching number big block A/C car. Nationally registered. I had a 2009 Holden Commodore SSV for 4 years. God I miss those cars.
1964 chevy ss impala with 327 300hp turbofire with powerglide trans positrac rearend . 1974 4door caprice classic hardtop 454 police car was ordered with high performance engine but not accepted then sold to public and a 1978 chevy 1/2ton longbed trk scottsdale aquamarine blue and baby blue with 1972 impala 350 and 3.07 rear diff .wish i still had all of these
Two cars I regret selling: a 1997 Jaguar XK8, just nothing ever worked on it. Just always fixing stuff in it for years, finally got so frustrated I sold it. But now I miss it, the leather and wood were next level. Other car I regret selling was a 1952 MG TD. It was unrestored and EVERYTHING needed restoring. Drove it around town for two years and just got overwhelmed by the size of the project it would be to restore it and sold it. Now I kinda wish I had undertook the project
Three cars...1973 Fiat Sport Coupe 1.6L with a five speed (bought new), a 1968 GTO (also new), and my 1998 Z 28 (LS 1) that we swapped the motor with one from a TA and painted it with black SS stripes on Silver.
Nice little trucks Dennis! If you have a picture of your ride, please go to our facebook group and post a pic of it. Thanks for watching and the comment! Please help us by subscribing if you haven't already! facebook.com/groups/bocabrothers
I regret selling my 67 mustang fastback it had a 428 super colbrajet big block 4 speed. And my 72 Pontiac Grand valley convertible with a 455 big block it was brown metallic with cream color seats and top with fender skirts and factory rally wheels .

I regret selling my 1999 BMW 323 convertible. Such a fun and well-built car. Still see a few on the road. Also regret trading in my 1985 Mazda RX-7 GSL-SE for the BMW!

Three of my fox body mustangs. 1979, 1986 GT and 93 GT convertible in triple black. I may regret selling my current 86GT convertible (I’ll get back to you in a few years) , but the proceeds from that allowed me purchase a 21 GT
I'll take the 79 and 86! Never like the body change of the 93. Thanks Matt! If you have a picture of your rides, please go to our facebook group and post a pic of it. Thanks for watching and the comment! Please help us by subscribing if you haven't already! facebook.com/groups/bocabrothers
@@ThisOldCarChannel thanks for the response! Unfortunately I no longer have the 79 or my first 86 anymore. However I still have the 86 convertible which is currently for sale on consignment. My avatar is actually a pic of it. I will check out your fb page as well!
OH !! I had so many~~~! 1955 Olds Rocket 88, 1965 Chevy Chevelle Malibu, 1966 Dodge 442, 1968 Plymouth Fury III , 1969 GTO Judge, 1970 Porsche 914-6, 1985 BMW 525es, 1988 Lotus Turbo Esprit, 1987 Nissan 300 ZX, 1980 Porsche 911 SC. plus 5 old VW's, OH, if hind sight was for sight, we'd all be rich~~! also, I had several of my Grandfathers old 40's and 50's Plymouths.
Didn't sell this, but totalled it in an accident, 2004 Honda Accord EX-L V6 with Navigation. It had technology that was reserved for only luxury cars back then and was very fast! I still see them on the road today.
My car. A 1965 Buick Wildcat convertible. 425 nail valve engine ,Carter found barrel. All the numbers matched.it was 1995, couldn't t get it to start anymore, had three kids .two in diapers.sold it for 800.00 $. Took the guy two days of work, figured out it needed points He drove it 5 years that I know of. I still get sick
I wish I kept my very first Cadillac, 1990 sedan deville blue metallic paint and gray interior. Traded it for a 98 sts then traded the sts for 05 deville limited. I still have the deville and then I bought a 05 STS4 then I bought a 69 deville and I just bought 14 ats 2.0t rwd
My 1986 Porsche 944. Well not really as it was such a money pit that it meant thousands would need to be spent annually to keep it on the road Great channel btw
My bro and I love those 944s. I almost bought one but then figured I didn't love it that much. Money to maintain!!! lol If you have a picture of your ride, please go to our facebook group and post a pic of it. Thanks for watching and the comment! I regret my first car, a 1984 Toyota Corolla. Living in Canada it was a rust bucket in 1990 but this car cost nothing to run but if you forgot your headlights it will drain the battery. Fortunately i can start it by myself by pushing it.
Wish I'd kept a lot of them, too many to list. Tops, a tie between the '68 AMX 390, and the '72 TR-6. Bought the TR for $ 3200.00, enjoyed it 4 years, sold it for $ 4K, thought I made out pretty well... silly me !
Definitely regret selling my 1972 3 litre GTXLR Ford Capri. I wanted a Capri since I was about 4, and it took till I was nearly 21 to get it. Got it fully rebuilt, then some jerk wrecked it and I never managed to get the money together to get it repaired. Sold it as it was and never seen it since.
Out of the probably 100 cars I had I regret getting rid of the 92 Beretta gt with 3.1 v6 03 Silverado z85 regular cab 4wd with the 4.8 and a 87 Nissan pulsar with t tops removal hatch and a 5 speed
Awe man...Too bad. Both great classics! We has a 76 LTD. Thanks for watching and the comments! Please help us out by subscribing to our channel if you're not already one? Michael - Boca Brothers
I have owned 35 cars in my lifetime. I'm 73 yrs. old and have loved cars since a early age. Here is a few of the cars I wish I still had. 60 Dodge Polara Conv.62 Bonneville Conv.63 T-Bird,66 Grand Prix, 70 Buick Riviera,73 Cadillac Coup De Ville,73 Grand Prix,75 Vette, 77 Monte Carlo, 77 Grand Prix,87 SS Monte Carlo,86 Fiero GT,89 Vette, 74 Caprice 400,97 Lincoln Mark LSC,2009 SS Trailblazer. I did manage to keep three cars a 62 Grand Prix 389 4-speed bought in 1979,66 Pontiac Catalina Conv.bought in 1971 and a 81 Buick Riviera bought in 1985.
I've never really thought about it before, but the majority of cars I've owned over the course of my 35ish years of driving have been Chevrolets. My first car, and probably the one I miss most was a '69 El Camino. My next one was a '65 Chevrolet C-10. It had a later model 350, 3 speed column shift, small rear window and a fleetside bed. Then came a trio, in order of ownership... '78 Camaro, '74 Camaro Z-28 and an '82 Camaro Z-28. I miss and regret the hell out of parting with all of them for various reasons. Next came a few non-Chevrolets, but the past 10 years or so (roughly 2012) have been a return to them, The first two being four door '99 Blazers. The first one was black, which I paid $600 for, drove it for a few years until a connecting rod started making noise. It was cheaper to junk it and buy another one than it would have been to repair it, so I stripped several things that I thought I may or may not need for the next one... a gray one. I picked it up in late 2015 for $800, drove the hell out of it for six years without putting much money in it at all, but it got totaled due to a rear end collision. I figured it was only worth about $400 - $500, and I'd probably get $1000 if I was lucky, because it was getting pretty bad toward the end. It was time for it to start falling apart, which I knew I wasn't going to be able to afford, and even worse, trying to replace it. My latest is a two door; a 2003 Chevrolet Blazer ZR-2, which I bought with the insurance money from the gray '99 Blazer. So far this one is shaping up to being one of my favorite vehicles I've ever owned, and definitely THE favorite over the last 20 years. At some point, something will probably happen to it, and it will climb right to the heap of my most missed and regret not having it vehicles.
I regret selling my 1963 Impala SS. It had a 327 that always started instantly, made great power and got 24 mpg to boot on the highway. I was young and dumb and have regretted selling it ever since.

I really regret losing my 76 Buick regal, had a 350, ran great, but was my first car at 16 back in 1988, it was crashed by my brother!😡🤬 I still think about her, she was a beautiful and reliable car!👌✌👋🚛🚙
I had 2 cars I regret getting rid of. My 1978 Chrysler lebaron 2 door with the 318 V8. The second was my 1984 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. It was a base car with a 3.8l V6 that couldn't get out of its way but it was a nice car.
I owned 10 cars between the age of 16-18 and no less than 40-45 since but I still dream of my 75 Dodge Duster, 77 Camaro and my 79 Monza Spyder had them all before I was 19 in the late 70's early 80's
I had bought a 1984 Pontiac recaro trans am new in early 1984. Black/gold rims but the lowering skirts were black on the recaro edition. 5 liter ho V8, 4bbl 190 HP. T tops, 5m. Fun as anything to drive, I know not the performance of a few years earlier but still not bad for a 80s car. I regret getting rid of it but not my choice, it got stolen, even with the turnkey alarm on the front fender (go figure). Still have a plastic emblem from one of the door handles saying "recaro t/a".
My family owned only 4 cars during my life. The first two were quite unremarkable. My parents sold them with zero regrets. Then came our third car. 1999 Polonez Atu Plus. For those familiar with Polish cars a Polonez is often synonymous with a piece of junk. It served as our main family car till 2012. We kept using it regularly till 2015. We finally sold it in 2016 as maintaining two cars was expensive and with my father passing away we only had one driver. I was unemployed at the time... If I had a job I never allow for it to be sold. It was a huge part of my life and a good sturdy car we used to take on trips out of the city. I am actually toying with the idea of acquiring the same model if I can find one in decent condition. Buying back our old car is not an option unfortunately. The new owner restored it to same as new state and kept using it till 2018 when somebody crashed into him from the side totaling it (he kept us informed after he bought it).
71 Grand Prix SJ, man that thing was battered but super fast. I had just moved out of my parents house and had my own place... monthly bills took place over fast cars, and so the SJ was sold to get a Civic to minimize my gas bill
Another not sold but crashed, by my mom, my 90 lincoln mark 7 lsc bill blass edition got it for 500 bucks due to body damage that was an easy fix. Still had the original 302/200-4r in it.
Of the only three cars I owned - moving from a "car necessity" city to one that rentals could take care of - the only one that I didn't eventually junk was my classic! A 1963 Citroen DS! I loved driving it and it was easy to fix (for the previous owner, who was a mechanic and would work on it for me at a decent cost!) I unfortunately couldn't hang on to it due to having a long work commute that would have damaged it for good! It was on a street threatening to be towed due to a leaking fuel line when I got a note from a collector interested in buying it! Ironically he ended up wanting it due to several of his cars being destroyed in the 1991 Oakland Hills fire! At least it went to someone that was going to take good care of it!
Ahhh The LHS. Nice car Ken. If you have a picture of your ride, please go to our facebook group and post a pic of it. Thanks for watching and the comment! Please help us by subscribing if you haven't already! facebook.com/groups/bocabrothers
So I didn't make a sale on my 1988 Dodge Daytona 5 speed? LOL It was a great car for over 6 years and 140k miles. Only reason I got rid of it was, New England winters...they take a toll and I didn't have a garage back then, so it had to go. The 1997 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC? I donated it to the Alzheimer's Association since I wasn't driving it enough to justify paying for it's storage in a separate garage (didn't have the space at home in my garage). Enjoyed the Car Talk type live show. Big shoes to fill there if you were going for Tom and Ray Magliozzi "Click and Clack" type vibe. Does that make me old that I know Car Talk? Since it went off the airwaves in 2012. 2 crazy brothers from "The PRC"...Peoples Republic of Cambridge...outside Boston, I grew up about 10 miles east of there.
I regret totaling my '01 ford ranger edge in high school my senior year that 4.0L was so quick and roasted the tires like nothing i miss that little truck so much i remember piling people in there for in town parties it was so funny it looked like one of those old clown cars "how many people crawled out of that thing?!" I would leave everyone in the dust heading out the road to bonfires/campouts/parties fully loaded with tents beer and pallets and unload it all and set upcmy tent and fire already going by the time the rest of the crew would show up hahaha amazing times in that little truck not to mention keeping pace with mild built chev 350sb

@@ThisOldCarChannel I used to have a photo of both my first car a 1971 Ford Mustang Grande and the 1968 Ford Falcon Futura sedan but lost them years ago moving unfortunately which mad me mad.
(Speaking from France) For me there was two, first there is that pretty clean 1991 Ford Sierra Sapphire GT that i sold for basically nothing only to buy another one in worst condition two years later, but the one i regret the most, and the one i'd buy back in a heartbeat if i could was my very first car, a 1989 Peugeot 205 Roland Garros... Paid 800€ for that car and it was an absolute blast to own. 85 hp, sliding sunroof, cd and MP3 stereo, all that in a lightweight sporty little 3 door hatchback that was to this day one of the funniest car i ever drove and owned (including a NB 1.8 miata, and a Fiesta ST200).
My 1st car a 87 escort GT in white with grey recaros, my last mustang a 95 mustang cobra in rio red with black cloth..both were paid for and i have regretted selling both from the day i sold them.
My dad had a 1984 Nissan 720 pickup, he sold it in 1999 or 2000 when his daughter was born, he had a 1988 Hyundai Excel too, but that car was good riddance. He kept the Excel for a few more years
Cars ive regretted selling. 67 Impala SS drop top, 71 GTO 455HO drop top, 71 Volvo P1800, 74, 77, 78 Bronco, 86 Scrambler, 56 f100. The other models I’ve had (about 40 cars total) i dont have regrets selling. They were bought just for resale.
My first car which was a '64 Corvair convertible. I loved that car. My second regret is a '65 Impala that I got when I graduated high school. That one was a real runner
I missed that this morning. I had a dozen of cars, the one I really missed the most is a Fox Body 1985 LTD Sedan. Loved the drive at that time, but didn't like the 3.8L. It would have been a nice project to throw a 5.0L or 5.8L.
💯% agree. My then-wife and I had the same car, same year model back in the mid 90s. It was really the only "fox body" model I liked. It was a great, smooth ride, but yes, I despised that 3.8 engine. Ford put that thing up on a pedestal, but it belonged at the scrapyard.
85 LTD! Love it. Thanks 3v! If you have a picture of your ride, please go to our facebook group and post a pic of it. Thanks for watching and the comment! Please help us by subscribing if you haven't already! facebook.com/groups/bocabrothers
@@ThisOldCarChannel You had me on this one! Unfortunately I check all my photos and didn't not have any photos of my 85 LTD... But in the same period I had an 84 LTD Wagon and I do have one picture when I got rid of it in 1999. I posted my 84 Wagon on your YT page, tks!
don't have a drivers license due to visual issues my favorite used cars my dad had when I was young are a sterling 825SL a brown Chevy Caprice Classic and a white Volvo 760 though my favorite car a family member has owned was a yellow 1979 Cadillac Coupe Deville my now deceased maternal grandmother had she traded it for a used Blue Chevy and then a widebody Burgundy/Maroon Toyota Camry
1970 Challenger, first year, my sister had ordered it up new in fall 1969, she gave it to me in the late 80s. Timing chain broke (big deal) so I unloaded it. I'm an idiot. Who knew they were going to revive the Challenger?

Had a 72 Ford F100, red/white. Only reason I sold it was because I'd inherited my father's 89 Chevy Cheyenne Stepside, so I didn't "need it". That was 21 years ago. I still miss it. Also, my 88 Ford Festiva, w/ 5 speed manual. Sold it in late 2015, because we were about to move and parts for it were getting scarce. That lil car got 30 mpg, and I sure wish I had it today.
Buddy of mine (RIP) had a 72 F100 back in the day. While in high school in early 80's we skip class. lol.... If you have a picture of your ride, please go to our facebook group and post a pic of it. My car's kept getting stolen, my two favorites were my 1989 Suzuki Sidekick 4 x 4. Fast agile and could pretty much get through anything. My other car was a 1994 Mazda MX3 Grand Sport. Wound up getting stolen by a 13-year old neighborhood kid named Jeff. I tell you what if I had a time machine.... but I got the next best thing, recently got myself a 1992 Mazda MX3 GS, doesn't have the power windows or sunroof, but same engine along with the 5-speed manual which means it's lighter and fast. If I need something faster the classic thing to do is put in a 150 cubic inch 6 cylinder That's rated at 200 hp. All this in a 2400 lb car= FUN
I think that was a 318 Fluffy. Thanks for watching and the comment! Please help us by subscribing if you haven't already! facebook.com/groups/bocabrothers
Back in 1976, I was 16 and got my driver's license. I purchased a 1970 mustang fast back, 351 Cleveland 2v. Color was Dark Highland green. Pick it up for $1100. With in one year I traded the mustang in for a new 1976 chevy vega, What was I was thinking of ! But back then the mustang was not worth anything, It was a cheap throw away car. Boy, what a mistake that was. Regretted it still today.
It sounds almost exactly like my experience I had a ‘70 Mustang Mach I in highland green with black stripes. With gas prices skyrocketing to over $1.00 a gallon, the daily commute of about 100 miles a day for college was becoming expensive. I sold the Mustang and bought a used ‘72 Vega. Considering all of the problems with the Vega, it managed to get me through college and was replaced with a new ‘80 Pinto wagon. Believe it or not, that wagon became my favorite of the many cars I have owned over the 50 years of driving.
I've owned 20 plus cars in my 43 years driving. Of those, I regret selling my first car which was a 1972 Skylark GS, and my fourth car, a 1974 Chevelle Laguna S.3
Ive owned 23 cars since high school, Im 52 now. the ones I would gladly have back are all 3 of my Cutlass's 72, 84, 90. 79 Bonneville 2 door, 87 Monte Carlo SS, 78 Cougar, 94 Firebird V6, and 2000 Chrysler 300M
Only sold two of my vehicles. Ran the others into the ground and then the scrapyard. One I sold was actually a Nissan baby pickup, or 'Trucklet' as Jack R. calls them, and I really wished I hadn't sold it, but it was becoming a cop magnet. I sold it to a body man's brother, and the body man fixed it up beautifully.

Back in the mid 90's I sold my 1964 Impala for $2500 with the intent on purchasing a clean well kept 1961 Impala SS Hard Top Sport for $2500. As I walked to the corner lot to purchase the car. My wife voice kept replaying in my head...."IT BETTER HAVE AC". Knowing it did not I kept walking...ugh!!

I had a 1976 Buick Century Indy Pace Car Replica. I sold it after someone ran me off the road and it smacked a power pole. I saw that car on the road in my hometown repaired later and regretted it ever since. Should have kept her. Cars like version of GM's Colonade coups are starting to bring some good money and that was a pretty rare example. I still have a 79 Olds Cutlass with a very small V8 that is in barn find condition at this point. I may resurrect that guy sometime.

Had a 93 Dodge Dakota Sport 4x4 that saved my life in a bad head on collision.
I've had a lot of Australian cars in the day, some A, B and C falcons and HQ holdens plus Chrysler Valiants including Pacers for NZ$1,000 each.

1972 nova wish I had it now
My top two are the 74 monte carlo and the 69 torino gt. Close third is my first car. A 1970 Chevelle with a beefed up 327.
I had 2 cars I regret getting rid of. My 1978 Chrysler lebaron 2 door with the 318 V8. The second was my 1984 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. It was a base car with a 3.8l V6 that couldn't get out of its way but it was a nice car.
1965 Mustang GT 2+2, A code 4 spd. It’s now in the Netherlands.
The Breakfast Club-1986, is the movie.

My 1971 impala 2 door and my 1964 ford Galaxie 500 that itrade in for my 1977 chevy Nova that i'm restoring at this moment to bring up to life again
71 Grand Prix SJ, man that thing was battered but super fast. I had just moved out of my parents house and had my own place... monthly bills took place over fast cars, and so the SJ was sold to get a Civic to minimize my gas bill

My 1973 Pontiac Grand Am

1970 Challenger, first year, my sister had ordered it up new in fall 1969, she gave it to me in the late 80s. Timing chain broke (big deal) so I unloaded it. I'm an idiot. Who knew they were going to revive the Challenger?

My 1974 Ford Gran Torino Sport 460ci and my 1969 Dodge Charger R/T
Had a 72 Ford F100, red/white. Only reason I sold it was because I'd inherited my father's 89 Chevy Cheyenne Stepside, so I didn't "need it". That was 21 years ago. I still miss it.
Also, my 88 Ford Festiva, w/ 5 speed manual. Sold it in late 2015, because we were about to move and parts for it were getting scarce. That lil car got 30 mpg, and I sure wish I had it today.

1983 Chrysler Cordoba with the 315 engine... Yeah really wish I didn't sell that car...

I regret selling not only my 2002 Dodge Intrepid but my Dodge Avenger (I forgot the year).
I regret getting rid of my 76 Impala station wagon it became famous in Three counties and my 73 Chevy Malibu 2 door
I hate getting rid of my 1961 Ford Econoline 😒
I've owned 20 plus cars in my 43 years driving. Of those, I regret selling my first car which was a 1972 Skylark GS, and my fourth car, a 1974 Chevelle Laguna S.3

True Greg! Work on that 79! If you have a picture of your ride, please go to our facebook group and post a pic of it. Thanks for watching and the comment! Please help us by subscribing if you haven't already! facebook.com/groups/bocabrothers
