I've always been been led to believe that the trinity represents God in spirit through Jesus and the holy Spirit. I don't understand why people believe that it is one individual. It would be like us talking to ourselves and there would be nobody else there we would just be listening to ourselves. And when Jesus says that he goes to sit at the right hand of his father, well again if we said that to ourselves we would be sitting alone. And let's not forget about the gift of the holy Spirit, I know it has been a true blessing in my life. Thank you Father for your Son and Holy Spirit amen.
From what you've written it's hard to tell if you believe in the Trinity or not. You seem very confused. If the Trinity were true, then the resurrected Jesus would not be at the right hand of his Father but fused to him as a part of his person along with the person of the Holy Spirit. You'd also have to explain Matt 24:36 Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father." Why would the Son not know? Why does the so called third person of the Trinity, The Holy Spirit also not Know? The night before his death Jesus show that he and his Father had different wills. Luke 22:41-4 41 And he withdrew from them about a stone’s throw away, and he bent his knees and began to pray, 42 saying: “Father, if you want to, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, let, not my will, but yours take place.”a 43 Then an angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him.b 44 But he was in such agony that he kept praying more earnestly;c and his sweat became as drops of blood falling to the ground. A third line of evidence concerns Jesus’ relationship with his followers. Even after he was raised from the dead to the spirit realm, Jesus called his followers “my brothers.” Matthew 28:10 10 Then Jesus said to them: “Have no fear! Go, report to my brothers so that they may go to Galʹi·lee, and there they will see me.” Were they brothers of Almighty God? Of course not! But through their faith in Christ-God’s preeminent Son-they too became sons of the one Father. Galatians 3:26 You are all, in fact, sons of God that through your faith in Christ Jesus. What the Nicene Creed says: “We believe . . . in one Lord Jesus Christ . . . that is of the substance of the Father, God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God.” What the Bible says: “My Father is greater than I [Jesus].”-John 14:28. * “I [Jesus] ascend unto my Father, and your Father, and to my God, and your God.”-John 20:17. “To us there is but one God, the Father.”-1 Corinthians 8:6. “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”-1 Peter 1:3. “These things saith the Amen [Jesus], . . . the beginning of the creation of God.”-Revelation 3:14. *

You were doing so well with your gratitude, but then I fear you would offend Jesus by saying his IS God. This trinity doctrine is Heretical. It was not accepted at all for at least 150 years after Christ's death, and not widely for another 200 years at a the poorly attended council of Nicaea, which was gathered by a pagan Emperor. Like, Easter,Christmas, Halloween and other so called Christian practices, The Trinity is more evidence that just calling something Christian does not make it so. Examine your church, does it approve of such pagan practices? Would it encourage you to fight in war for your country, even if that meant killing your Christian brothers, or anyone else ? We need to prove our gratitude for what God did for us by sending his son and his son's willingness to obey his father by worshipping God in spirit and TRUTH.
You haven't read your Bible. YHWH is the name of God and it says so around 7000 times. Jesus is never referred to as 'LORD'(capital letters) and is never called Almighty God.
The way I see it is God present himself in 3 different ways, he plays different roles in our life to allow for a relationship, guidance, and still letting you know he his the judge at the end. He is infinite and not limited to just being Jesus on earth. If he can create vessels for eternal souls why argue he couldn’t create a vessel for himself to relate to the human experience? However I haven’t thoroughly read the Bible and was hoping to get some actual verses from the Bible about the trinity 🤷🏼♂️
Eternal souls ? Where did this idea come from? In the Bible, the soul is mortal .(Ezek 18 :4). Why not actually read what Jesus said and did. He prayed to his God. He worshipped his God. He had a God. The resurrected Jesus had a God. (Jphn 20 :17 ). The glorified Jesus in heaven itself still had a God. (rev 3 :12). Hundreds of times Jesus is differentiated from God in the NT. The Jesus of the NT DIED. An immortal God cannot die. The claim of the gospels is : Jesus is the messiah (Christ), the Son of God. (Mat 16 :16).
@Ameer Adel Who is “the first and the last”? The Bible applies this term both to Jehovah God and to his Son, Jesus, but with different meanings. Consider two examples. At Isaiah 44:6, Jehovah says: “I am the first and I am the last. There is no God but me.” Here Jehovah highlights that he is the everlasting true God; besides him, there is no other. (Deuteronomy 4:35, 39) In this case, then, the expression “the first and the last” has the same meaning as “the Alpha and the Omega Additionally, the term “the First [pro’tos, not alpha] and the Last [e’skha·tos, not omega]” occurs at Revelation 1:17, 18 and 2:8. In these verses, the context shows that the one referred to died and later returned to life. Thus, these verses cannot refer to God because he has never died. (Habakkuk 1:12) However, Jesus died and was resurrected. (Acts 3:13-15) He was the first human to be resurrected to immortal spirit life in heaven, where he now lives “forever and ever.” (Revelation 1:18; Colossians 1:18) Jesus is the one who performs all resurrections thereafter. (John 6:40, 44) Therefore, he was the last one to be resurrected directly by Jehovah. (Acts 10:40) In this sense, Jesus can properly be called “the First and the Last.” Does Revelation 22:13 prove that Jesus is “the Alpha and the Omega”? No. The speaker at Revelation 22:13 is not specifically identified, and there are various speakers in this chapter. Commenting on this section of Revelation, Professor William Barclay wrote: “Things are set down without any apparent order; . . . and it is often very difficult to be sure who is the actual speaker.” (The Revelation of John, Volume 2, Revised Edition, page 223) Thus, “the Alpha and the Omega” at Revelation 22:13 can be identified as the same Person given this title elsewhere in Revelation-Jehovah God.
Not being able to comprehend God makes me believe it more because if I were making a religion I’d mske it easy to understand because most people would prefer that better

Matthew 28:19 mentions the Father, Son and holy spirit in the same verse, but it does not say that they exist in one divine essence as the Trinity doctrine says. It does not say that they are three persons in one God, all co-equal, co-eternal and consubstantial. The doctrine of the Trinity as taught in churches is not stated anywhere in the Bible. That's why it was necessary for the church in the fourth century to formulate the Trinity doctrine in multiple councils under Roman Emperor Constantine the Great. Jesus taught that the Father was greater than he was and he called his Father "my God" even after his resurrection. (Revelation 3:12) Also, Philippians 2:9 says that God exalted Jesus to a higher position than he had before. The fact that God exalted Jesus to a higher position shows that Jesus is not equal to God and that God and Jesus are not co-equal as the Trinity states. The Bible also says that Jesus was created, whereas God (whose name is Jehovah or Yahweh) was not created and does not have a beginning. Colossians 1:15 calls Jesus the “Firstborn of all creation” and Revelation 3:14 says that Jesus is the “beginning of the creation by God.” These scriptures show that God and Jesus are not co-eternal.

Matthew 1:18-25 Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit. And her husband Joseph, being a just man and unwilling to put her to shame, resolved to divorce her quietly. But as he considered these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. But God is rich in mercy to all who call upon Him. Jesus lived a perfect life and suffered and died on the cross for your sins, taking the punishment on Himself. Jesus suffered the evils of sinful men. He did not take any punishment from God. He laid down His life od His own volition in that God's mercy might be justified, and extended to those that should believe and obey His commandments......... At 3:01 you state, "There is subordination within the Trinity"....Please explain? Not according to classic Trinitarian doctrine going all the way back to Gregory of Nyssa, "There is no priority, no posteriority, and certainly no inferiority." Thks
Jesus is subordinate to the Father often when on earth even saying "not my will, but the Father's". Jesus waited for the Father to give Him all authority and not just taking it away from the Father. The Holy Spirit only came when Jesus requested it as the Holy Spirit didnt make that choice on His own.
The BEST example I have heard as an analogy is the United States Government: ONE GOVERNMENT made of 3 BRANCHES. All 3 branches, co-equal, make up ONE GOVERNMENT.
All the three branches of the U. S. government that you are saying are not equal in power. They’re being ran politically by those who are in the administration.
@@paeng46 3 Persons make up 1 God. They each serve a different function, Biblically. There is a great article on the Got Questions site that offers a fantastic assessment of the Trinity.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit….”-Matthew 28:19 Notice that the word “name” is singular (not plural i.e., “names”). Also, the definite article “the” is placed in front of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, thus implying plurality within unity. The Trinity is not Modalism-the view that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are all one person; nor is it Tritheism-the view that the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are three separate Gods. Although the Trinity cannot be totally comprehended, it can be apprehended and seen illustrated in the world of nature. Take, for example, an illustration involving three candles. Even after lighting each candle, they are still separate and distinct. However, when one combines each of the three flames together, they become one flame. In the same way, each member of the Trinity is separate and distinct, yet they are one God. As Walter Martin founder of the Christian Research Institute put it: “God is not triplex (1+1+1)-He is triune (1X1X1), and he has revealed Himself fully in the Person of our Lord, Jesus Christ (Col. 2:9, John 14:9).” -Christian Research Institute tract, Jehovah’s Witnesses and the Trinity
I like to imagine human beings as Sims characters with super advanced AI trying to somehow understand the one and only computer programmer who created the game, computer, and everything that makes it work. Literally impossible for the characters in the game to just jump through the screen and understand exactly how they were made and why they were made. We should just appreciate that we have a good God that doesn’t want to watch people suffer for his own enjoyment, yet in our flawed human egos and inability to accept why we cannot accept, we constantly glorify the one who does.
If there are three people in God , you have to admit; there's no Father, no Son and no Holy spirit, all of them have the same length of time, no one is older than the other, because they were born in One time. One thing is whether I am stupid or all of you are. Thanks
So why is God no respector of persons, is a question. Why is this strange for me to comprehend ? Why did Jesus say that he was not good, only God is good ? Why am i having a question here....and then who is the father in this. Two words, meaning what exactly ?
Jesus is not God's Son in the sense of human father and a son. God did not get married and have a son. God did not mate with Mary and together with her, produce a son. Jesus is God's Son in the sense that He is God made manifest in human form (John 1:1, 14). Jesus is God's Son in that He was conceived in Mary by the Holy spirit. Luke 1:35 declares, "The angel answered, 'The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God." During His trial before the Jewish leaders, the High Priest demanded of Jesus, " I charge you under oath by the living God: Tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God" (Matthew 26:63). "Yes, it is as you say; Jesus replied. `But I say to all of you: In the future you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven" (Matthew 26:64). The Jewish leaders responded by accusing Jesus of blasphemy (Matthew 26:65-66). Later before Pontius Pilate, " The Jewish insisted, We have a law, and according to that law He must die, because He claimed to be the Son of God" (John 19:7). Why would His claiming to be the Son of God considered and be worth of a death sentence? The Jewish leaders understood exactly what Jesus meant by the phrase "Son of God." To be the Son of God is "of God." The claim to be of the same nature as God--to in fact be God--was blasphemy to the Jewish leaders; therefore, they demanded Jesus' death, in keeping with Leviticus 24:15. Hebrew 1:3 expresses this very clearly, "The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of His being." Another example can be found in John 17:12 where Judas is described as the "son of perdition." John 6:71 tells us that Judas was the son of Simon. What does John 17:12 mean by describing Judas as the "son of perdition"? The word perdition means "destruction, ruin, waste." Judas was not the literal son of "ruin, destruction, and waste," but those things where the identity of Judas' life. Judas was a manifestation of perdition. In this same way, Jesus is the Son of God. The Son of God is God. Jesus is God made manifest (John 1:1 14).
this is a great explanation of the term "son of God" and a strong case for Jesus also being God, but I just can't help but remember what Jesus said himself "The Father is greater than I," for the son is not greater than the father- seems like Jesus really clarified how we should think of his relationship to the father here :c
You begin by saying that the first thing to recognise is that we wont understand the trinity; sadly, this is probably the only accurate statement you make. The scriptures that you use do not portray a trinity as 3 in one and the diagram is irrelevant. They may portray 2 persons working together using the power that is the holy spirit. When Annanias was condemned for Lying to the Holy spirit, and to God , does that mean that they are one and the same? No. Annanias was a spirit annointed follower who lied to the spirit, or as some translations read "played false to" in that he deliberately worked against the spirit, and lied to God in that he acted as if God did not see his lies. This in no way requires God and the holy spirit to be one. The term Elohim used in Genesis is a plural term that is used to portray majesty, and the Jews never understood God to be a trinity. It is also not wrong for God to say us as Jesus in his pre-human form was WITH him, BESIDE him as a master worker(Prov 8v30). This is why he is described as the "FIRSTBORN of creation", and "only begotten". Clearly Jesus had a beginning, was 'Born' as it were, is a creation. The Bible is NOT trinitarian as you claim. The entire Bible clearly describes An almighty creator, creating a firstborn SON, who then work together to create the rest of creation. This is why God says let US make man. You have to have a very devious mind to twist scripture to embrace a belief which had its origins in the pagandom of Egypt and Babylon. If God wanted us to view and understand him as a trinitarian deity, why use the Father and Son analogy ? Surely if you wanted to use the Family as a starting point you might use identical or even conjoined twins, or triplets if you want to include the Holy Spirit. Don’t get me started on that . No wonder Jesus warned of those rising up after the passing of the apostles to speak twisted things, to draw disciples after themselves. This trinity doctrine is abhorrent and Satanic, like the immortality of the Soul, hellfire and other beliefs that reduce God’s glory and paint him as a tyrant. The trinity also undermines the working of the ransom. The whole principle of Christ’s ransom hangs on the equivalence of Jesus death as a perfect man and what Adam lost. Christ proved the Devil a liar, and that it was possible for Adam to have done what Jesus did. If Jesus was an uncreated God who always had life in himself , then there is no equivalence with Adam and the Ransom does not work. It also means that Jesus did not really die as a third or even half of him was still alive in heaven and able to regenerate himself. Adam could not do that. These things are so important that I do not say lightly that the trinity doctrine is a teaching of Demons. You rightly say that the trinity has been a cause for controversy, but only hundreds of years after the death of Christ. This is because there never was a need for the trinity doctrine. The Bible made sense without it ,but the devil has used this confusing, and by your own declaration, incomprehensible teaching to "blind the minds "of people. They certainly don’t seem to teach logic in theological schools, or divinity studies.
@@Jesus777_7_9 i suggest you look at genesis 1:27, and who was god talking too when he said this hmmmm, when the apostles ask when will the end come jesus clearly stated only the father in heaven knows
The Trinity is one God existing in three Persons. Understand that this is not in any way suggesting three Gods. Keep in mind when studying this subject that the word “Trinity” is not found in Scripture. This is a term that is used to attempt to describe the triune God-three coexistent, co-eternal Persons who are God. Of real importance is that the concept represented by the word “Trinity” does exist in Scripture. The following is what God’s Word says about the Trinity: 1) There is one God (Deuteronomy 6:4; 1 Corinthians 8:4; Galatians 3:20; 1 Timothy 2:5). 2) The Trinity consists of three Persons (Genesis 1:1, 26; 3:22; 11:7; Isaiah 6:8, 48:16, 61:1; Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14). In Genesis 1:1, the Hebrew plural noun "Elohim" is used. In Genesis 1:26, 3:22, 11:7 and Isaiah 6:8, the plural pronoun for “us” is used. The word "Elohim" and the pronoun “us” are plural forms, definitely referring in the Hebrew language to more than two. While this is not an explicit argument for the Trinity, it does denote the aspect of plurality in God. The Hebrew word for "God," "Elohim," definitely allows for the Trinity. In Isaiah 48:16 and 61:1, the Son is speaking while making reference to the Father and the Holy Spirit. Compare Isaiah 61:1 to Luke 4:14-19 to see that it is the Son speaking. Matthew 3:16-17 describes the event of Jesus’ baptism. Seen in this passage is God the Holy Spirit descending on God the Son while God the Father proclaims His pleasure in the Son. Matthew 28:19 and 2 Corinthians 13:14 are examples of three distinct Persons in the Trinity. 3) The members of the Trinity are distinguished one from another in various passages. In the Old Testament, “LORD” is distinguished from “Lord” (Genesis 19:24; Hosea 1:4). The LORD has a Son (Psalm 2:7, 12; Proverbs 30:2-4). The Spirit is distinguished from the “LORD” (Numbers 27:18) and from “God” (Psalm 51:10-12). God the Son is distinguished from God the Father (Psalm 45:6-7; Hebrews 1:8-9). In the New Testament, Jesus speaks to the Father about sending a Helper, the Holy Spirit (John 14:16-17). This shows that Jesus did not consider Himself to be the Father or the Holy Spirit. Consider also all the other times in the Gospels where Jesus speaks to the Father. Was He speaking to Himself? No. He spoke to another Person in the Trinity-the Father. 4) Each member of the Trinity is God. The Father is God (John 6:27; Romans 1:7; 1 Peter 1:2). The Son is God (John 1:1, 14; Romans 9:5; Colossians 2:9; Hebrews 1:8; 1 John 5:20). The Holy Spirit is God (Acts 5:3-4; 1 Corinthians 3:16). 5) There is subordination within the Trinity. Scripture shows that the Holy Spirit is subordinate to the Father and the Son, and the Son is subordinate to the Father. This is an internal relationship and does not deny the deity of any Person of the Trinity. This is simply an area which our finite minds cannot understand concerning the infinite God. Concerning the Son see Luke 22:42, John 5:36, John 20:21, and 1 John 4:14. Concerning the Holy Spirit see John 14:16, 14:26, 15:26, 16:7, and especially John 16:13-14. 6) The individual members of the Trinity have different tasks. The Father is the ultimate source or cause of the universe (1 Corinthians 8:6; Revelation 4:11); divine revelation (Revelation 1:1); salvation (John 3:16-17); and Jesus’ human works (John 5:17; 14:10). The Father initiates all of these things. The Son is the agent through whom the Father does the following works: the creation and maintenance of the universe (1 Corinthians 8:6; John 1:3; Colossians 1:16-17); divine revelation (John 1:1, 16:12-15; Matthew 11:27; Revelation 1:1); and salvation (2 Corinthians 5:19; Matthew 1:21; John 4:42). The Father does all these things through the Son, who functions as His agent. The Holy Spirit is the means by whom the Father does the following works: creation and maintenance of the universe (Genesis 1:2; Job 26:13; Psalm 104:30); divine revelation (John 16:12-15; Ephesians 3:5; 2 Peter 1:21); salvation (John 3:6; Titus 3:5; 1 Peter 1:2); and Jesus’ works (Isaiah 61:1; Acts 10:38). Thus, the Father does all these things by the power of the Holy Spirit.
It's not the problem of the trinity concept of doctrine there's no such thing God is this at = Ephesians chapter 4 verses 4 and 5 and 6 here we go Verse 4 = One body One Spirit One Hope Verse 5 = One Lord One Faith One Baptism Verse 6 = One God the Father Over all Through all In all This is the Divine being Only One Form Only One Person Only One Spirit God Manifest in Only One Form
I have a question. Besides in name, how can there be anything to distinguish the "persons" one from another, considering each "person" is eternal perfect unchanging all knowing...like in what way would we distinguish one from another? None of them would leave any space for another to display any perfection the other "person" isnt already displaying....or alternatively if there is a space for one to display perfection that means another lacks perfection...which would mean not God?
That's a great question! The names, Father, Son, and Spirit, are in fact identifiers; not titles. Their relations ARE how we distinguish them. So the Father is defined by His eternal giving of Himself to the Son; the Father begets. The Son is defined by receiving His being from the Father from eternity; the Son is begotten. The Spirit is defined by being the Who/What the Father shares from Himself to the Son; the Spirit proceeds from the Father to the Son. In these relationships, there is a first movement (Giving/ receiving/ being given and received), but first is not a chronological term. It's a defining principle in the Person in question. I HIGHLY recommend reading Delighting in the Trinity by Michael Reeves.
To your second question about displaying perfection, consider this: God is love. Love is relational in its nature--it's not an abstract concept. If God was love from eternity, then love would be possible with no "other." But God is perfect, so God should love Himself. Why then would God create an "other" with whom to share his love (Adam, Creation)? However, God has been love from eternity. God has shared all of himself (perfect giving of love) and received all of himself (perfect receiving of love) within the Divine Persons. Therefore, God is both self-sufficient and love, and Creation is a natural overflow of love from a God who has loved from eternity before any being was created.
@@pedroaenamorado2 i dont understand a word of this. For one, u describe the "son" as receiving...but God needs to receive nothing, infact God can receive nothing for there's nothing to add or give to perfection. So that makes no sense. Also, "god is love" i don't know what that means but regardless i disagree (sounds like some hippie nonsense ngl, no offense). God is that which nothing greater can be conceived. What even is love? Lol.. I suppose we have to define the word love before we throw it around in a philosophical discussion, especially in relationship with God! As far as God being loving, id say God lacks nothing. We humans do lack, we need to give to others and have relationships and reach outside ourselves to feel more complete. We are creations and we are not complete unless we are giving. God needs nothing, God is perfect, God doesn't need to give but God chooses to. If you say God needs to give i find that to be less than perfect, if God needs anything outside of Himself, than how is He perfect? Furthermore ur basically admitting that the 3 are all "other" to each other, which sounds like polytheism, not monotheism. Help me understand, thnx
im only a simple theist, thats the place im approaching this from. i have read (and loved) Ed Fesers book "5 proofs of the existence of God" and i found it logically convincing. however i saw in it evidence for a God that a perfect simplicity and unity. and this is from a catholic scholar, mind you. i guess i was wondering if the trinity aspect of faith can also be presented logically without contradicting the logic of fesers 5 proofs, or if it is simply a "leap of faith", something one believes because they trust the authority of the doctrines that speak of it (which isnt at all an unreasonable thing, i rely much on authoritive ideas in regular life, as i have done since i was a child and needed guidance from parents and other adults. i just want clarity on the concept) Thank you@ronaldorivera4674
i appeal only to logic. nothing else. i feel you are saying, without saying, that you will not give me reason but your reason is the bible, or some scripture. so you've answered my question it seems without commiting yourself to it, which is unsatisfactory and dissapointing. i prefer to speak straight to reiterate if u want to answer me, just explain my question. explain with logic. God is that which nothing greater can be conceived, God is not confined to space or time or any constraints. If there was more than one God or if God had more than 1 part, or more than 1 personality, what would distinguish one from the other? one would not know more than the other, they would not exist in different spaces. it would be like two perfectly overlapping identities. it just makes no logically sense. perfection has to be one. the wills cannot be different for each will is absolute without challenge or opposition. now i tell my kids that me and their mother are both completely in charge, but thats a lie i tell my kids, obviously me and their mother cannot be completely in charge because in fact if we argue one of us gets their way over the other. so in fact their mother is in charge it turns out. i just dont admit it to them ;) anyway i will follow logic and the faith that follows logic appeals to me. i am convinced that there is a God BECAUSE of logic. but you dont seem happy that i am a theist and a believer in God because i dont believe in the same concept as God as you do? that i find odd. go read "5 proofs" for yourself. or better yet, come up with your own proof to convince me all over that God exists, and that also exists as 3 divine personalities or whatever the trinity is that u believe. i cant accept any scripture as divine if it flies in the face of logic. 2+2=4 (i know thats considered racist nowadays lol. see how religions always fight against logic? like the faith of CRT) @ronaldorivera4674
It simply means One in purpose. (Unity within the God head)...In John 17 Jesus also said the believers would become ONE with Father, just as HE is one with the Father. Does this mean that all the believers are now God? No, may God forbid such foolishness. Well according to the flawed oneness theology it must then be true, because we are ONE with the Father just as Jesus is ONE with the Father........The Godhead (Authoritative structure) is made up of 3 individual personalities, having individual souls.......Willie
I am sorry Michelle but this is one of the weakest arguments for the trinity. Compare what Jesus said in prayer to his Father at John17:20-22. here Jesus requests that all his followers should " be ONE, just as you the Father are in union with me and I am in union with you, that they also may be in union with us" and that "they may be ONE just as we are one". Was Jesus asking that his followers become part of the trinity? or that they all would become literally the same person? Of course not. He was describing the unity of mind and purpose that would be desirable among his followers. Something that sadly became extremely difficult when apostates introduced this divisive doctrine hundreds of years after his death.
How can Jesus be god when he himself speaks of god as his father. It’s clear to me at least that God, the son, and the Holy Spirit are three separate entities. Amen
You are a soul/conscience and spirit/life and have a body as one person. When you think about something no one knows what you thinking, unless you speak out a loud so someone can hear you. We would not know what Jesus christ was thinking or when the father speaks to Jesus christ to Jesus christ, If it was not spoken out a loud, because it was for the disciples benefit, and not for Jesus Himself.
I grew up understanding the three same people as this: 1. GOD the FATHER in HEAVEN 2. GOD the SON, when he choose to come to EARTH in the form on MAN. 3. GOD the HOLY SPIRIT. When GOD the SON went back to heaven and LEFT HIS SPIRIT (the Holy Spirit) upon the earth to guide us and protect us. So it is three forms of GOD. Not three different Gods. I guess what messes people up is the "Pray to the Father through the SON..." As in you will have Eternal Life through the Acceptance of GOD the SON, and what the form did on earth. Could the separate FORMS of GOD be because the JEWS did not believe in GOD the SON and GOD the HOLY SPIRIT? I think that MAN may have intervened in the written bible or that GOD was showing US HUMANS that there was a difference to certain peoples of GOD. That being said, the New Testament reconciles GOD the SON to be the GOD of both JEWS and GENTILES. The HUMANS of this EARTH have made changes to everything they did not understand in every Cultural Period/EMPIRE Rule since the beginning of time and that it was the Proceeding Culture that Interpreted the Previous Culture, in their own way or to their own purposes.( ie Read about How the Catholic Church used the Pagan peoples (Visi-goths and Vaga-Goths and Germanic Tribes own holidays and pagan believes and aligned them with Christian Beliefs in order to subjugate them or bring them in to the fold)
The term "God the father, God the son and god the holy spirit does not exist in the Bible." I agree that the Catholic Church manipulated scripture for its own ends as you say, but there never was a need to change the truth of god's word. Jesus said in his closing words to his disciples that all authority had been given him in heaven and on earth, but he later he is said to hand that back to his father after he has accomplished his Father's will (1 Corinthians 15:34). This clearly shows that God and Jesus are separate, otherwise this could not happen .

14:3 The trinity is hard to understand because it isn't real. The first thing that is needed to do to accept the trinity is to redefine the words used in the original languages for god. Elohim, your Old Testament word can be either plural or singular, depending on context, but never meaning more than one person inside god in Hebrew literature. It's just not there. Theos is the Greek word for god, and it is never found meaning more than one person inside god, except when a god eat other gods, which doesn't count or describing the trinity. Outside of the trinity these two words are never used to describe a god with more than one person inside that god, which means to accept the trinity is to redefine these words to something they were never used as in their respective literature. or even the Bible itself.
There have been many attempts to develop illustrations of the Trinity. However, none of the popular illustrations are completely accurate. The egg (or apple) fails in that the shell, white, and yolk are parts of the egg, not the egg in themselves, just as the skin, flesh, and seeds of the apple are parts of it, not the apple itself. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are not parts of God; each of them is God. The water illustration is somewhat better, but it still fails to adequately describe the Trinity. Liquid, vapor, and ice are forms of water. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are not forms of God, each of them is God. So, while these illustrations may give us a picture of the Trinity, the picture is not entirely accurate. An infinite God cannot be fully described by a finite illustration. The doctrine of the Trinity has been a divisive issue throughout the entire history of the Christian church. While the core aspects of the Trinity are clearly presented in God’s Word, some of the side issues are not as explicitly clear. The Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God-but there is only one God. That is the biblical doctrine of the Trinity. Beyond that, the issues are, to a certain extent, debatable and non-essential. Rather than attempting to fully define the Trinity with our finite human minds, we would be better served by focusing on the fact of God’s greatness and His infinitely higher nature. “Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?” (Romans 11:33-34).

There is strong evidence that we find in the Word of God for the doctrine of the Trinity in just minutes. Even the Old Testament itself prophesies of the full Deity of the coming Messiah. He is the Mighty God who was to be born as a son (Isaiah 9:6). Jehovah is called "Mighty God" in the next chapter (Isaiah 10:21). Jesus is "God with us" (Isaiah 7:14). God Himself even promised to come suddenly to His temple as the messenger of the covenant (Malachi 3:1) and His way is prepared by John the Baptist (Isaiah 40:3). These two verses are applied to Jesus at Mark 1:1-3. Even Zechariah 12:10 where Jehovah is "pierced" is quoted and applied to Jesus in John 19:37 and Revelation 1:7. @@BigFishAndPewPews First of all you have a contradiction in your opening statement and point 4. You can't say that there are 3 persons inside God, and then turn around to say that each one of them are God as an individual. The three persons as Gods, actually two persons as Gods is Biblical. Jesus called the Father His God in John 20:17, when Jesus said "...I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God." Then Thomas did the same thing with Jesus and identified Jesus as God and nobody else as God in John 20:28, "And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God." This makes both the Father and Jesus Gods individually, and not as a group. A group of persons never make a God in the Bible or in Greek or Hebrew literature. As for one God, that is explained in Ephesians 4:6. where it says, "One God and Father of all, who is above all,..." The top God is the Father of ALL, which includes being the God of Jesus Christ. This is the God in the Old Testament that claims there is no Gods beside Him, because He is the God of ALL. An example of Elohim in a singular form, Genesis 32:30 and 1 Kings 11:33 as only two of them, which there are a lot more. Us only means two or more, and is not proof there were three. Verse like Genesis 1:26 don't prove there are more Gods, but that God is talking to somebody else like Him. As it turns out we can figure out through other passages that Jesus also took part in creation. Jesus would be the us referred to in verse 26, and there is no proof there is anbody else. It also doesn't show the relationship in the passage, so it isn't proof of a trinity. Holy in the term Holy Spirit is an adjective that describes, which Spirit we are talking about. The Greek often puts an article before Spirit and after Holy. When the Greek does this it is like English in that an article like the is never in front of a name. This means that Holy Spirit isn't a name, but a thing. It also means that Holy is not needed to identify which Spirit we are talking about. The Spirit of God is described in 1 Corinthians 2:10-11. The Holy Spirit is the spirit that is within the Father just like we have a spirit within us. Keep in mind what the word God means in the Greek and Hebrew, and it all fits. Is the Father Jesus' God, John 20:17. Is Jesus our God, John 20:28. Is Jesus the Father's God? There is no Scripture for that, because the word God means Supreme Being. Jesus is not the Father's Supreme Being, because the Father is God of all, Ephesians 4:6, and the Father is the only one Who can say there are no other Gods like Me. There are two Gods, but we all follow only ONE GOD, even Jesus follows the father.

Pagan trinity To believe the trinity doctrine, when reading the scripture we must believe that God sent Himself into the world, died to reconcile the world to Himself, raised Himself from the dead, ascended to Himself in heaven, pleads before Himself in heaven to reconcile the world to Himself, and is the only mediator between man and Himself… We must believe also that in the garden God prayed to Himself, if it were possible, to let the cup pass from Himself, and a thousand other such absurdities.” - (J.N. Loughborough) Some of those other absurdities it teaches is that Jesus is the immortal God but died, is the invisible God but was seen, is the omnipotent God but was strengthened by an angel, is the omniscient God but did not know the day of his return, is as great as His Father but His Father is greater than He, is equal with the Father and yet He is the Father, is the Son but the same age as the Father, is the Son who has a Father and the God who has no Father, is the begotten Son and the unbegotten God, is very God and very man, came out from Himself, prayed to Himself, gave power to Himself, thanked Himself, bore witness of Himself, went back to Himself sits at the right hand of Himself, is His own Father and His own Son, left Heaven and yet was there all the time. There are many things which are hard to understand in the Bible but you can be sure that God never expects us to believe impossibilities. Over and over again you hear it said that the Gospel is so simple a child can understand it. And I agree. But how can that be the case with the teaching of the Trinity? Not only do children not understand it, but our best theologians cannot even explain it. However, the thought that God sent His Son to this earth to die for you and me is easy to comprehend when we believe the simple Bible statement that Jesus is truly the Son of God! Not one of three mysterious beings making up “one God.” How can you possibly believe that Jesus is NOT the begotten Son of the eternal Father and share John 3:16 with others in the hope of inviting them to take part in eternal salvation. @@AstariahJW it is a contradiction to say that God’s only begotten son could be anyone else but God also. Where in the bible scriptures will you find the word "Trinity"? It is an invented doctrine of the catholics that the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are one and have equal power? If that is true then why would Christ says in John 14:28 "for my Father are greater than I" is he who is sent greater than he who sent him? If it is God's will to spread His message to all, why would He make the message difficult to understand? God does not go beyond what is truth. 1+1+1=3 "...For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and will stick to his wife and the two will be one flesh." Does that mean a husband and a wife are really one? (Matthew 19:5) Or does that just mean a husband and wife are in unity or united in living their lives in marriage? JOHN Chapter 17, the whole chapter, is Jesus' prayer to his Father the night before he was executed. A very touching prayer because Jesus was not even praying for himself but for his followers. IN verses 22-23 Jesus prays to his Father for his followers: "Also, I have given them the glory that you have given me , in order that they may be one just as we are one. Does that mean all the followers are really just one? Or does that mean they are in unity or united in their faith.? When Jesus prepared his followers about the death he will suffer so they don't get traumatized when it happens, Peter made a mistake of telling Jesus that he will not suffer a violent death, and Jesus called Peter Satan for not thinking God's thoughts. (Matthew 16:22) Peter made a mistake. Peter made a mistake denying Jesus during his trial. Humans make mistakes. Thomas who was known for his mistake of doubting Jesus' resurrection, expressed his feelings calling Jesus "...my God" when Jesus appeared to him. That was just Thomas himself saying it. Jesus did not tell him he was God. Does that mean Jesus is God just because a man known for doubting Jesus, said it? (John 20:28) God himself told Moses that He will make Moses "a God to Pharoah." Does that mean Moses really became a God? (Exodus 7:1) The Bible, God's Words, is called God's Spirit. If it God's Spirit, it must be Holy. (Ephesians 6:17) It is not enough to believe in God and in Jesus only. We must believe in the Bible too, and everything in it, to make sure we know who we are worshiping and having faith on Whoever adds to the Bible or takes away from the the Bible is unforgiveable. (Revelation 22:18-19) The word and concept of the trinity is not nor explained in the Bible. There is only one religion mentioned in the Bible whom God Himself named. God called His people "You are my Witnesses and I am Jehovah." A religion after His own name. (Isaiah 43:12) There is no Scripture in the Bible God saying "you are my Catholics" or "You are my Protestants" or "You are my Christians." Not one. All names of other gods are man made. Every name of every religion in the world has been named by men. "Jehovah's Witnesses" is the only religion named by God, after His own name. (Isaiah 43:12) There is no other. God's name YHWH or Yaweh or Jehovah is created by God Himself, not man. "Jehovah's Witnesses" is the only religion in the whole world that God Himself called. Jehovah is the English version of God's original name YHWH. Jesus is the English version of his original name "Yeshua in Hebrew, Iesu in Greek or Latin Like John is Juan, Peter is Petro, James is Santiago Moses is Moshe.
the WatchTower organization demands than people obey 8 men in NY which can't be a true religion as we take no direction or authority from men, only put your faith and trust in Jesus who is GOD. The WatchTower told many people in the 60s that they would NEVER die in the current "system of things" because then end will come before that. Yet, that age has passed and that lies is exposed which hurt the growth and future of millions. No apology was ever given and more new lies were added. No one should trust the words of 8 men and put their trust in their interpretation which is wrong many times.

@@revansbudhinurani3972 Jesus prayed to the Father. There are many instances that Jesus talks to the Father, I'm not sure why anyone would ask that question. There is a Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
You talk too fast, no wonder people cannot take time to comprehend evangelists; slow down and give your sermon time for edification, not education. People are leaving churches in droves because of sermons like this.
The Godhead is not one because three co-equal persons are all one person, known as God. The Godhead is two completely separate persons who are within ONE SPIRIT (Acts 2:32-33), and that one Spirit is the one God and Father (1Cor 8:6). This makes two who are one - Father and Son - in the holy union of the Spirit, just as God's image on earth is two who are one - male and female - in the holy union of the flesh. If you have three distinctly different persons who are all God, and neither of them is the other, and two of them are spirits, you won't have only one Spirit who is God, but two spirits who are gods, and that is polytheism, not monotheism. That's one too many spirits in the Godhead, which is limited to one Spirit. Two separate persons, not needing to be co-equal, within one Spirit (which is the Father), also explains why Jesus, the Risen Son, is God with the Father, because He was God in the one Spirit of His Father (John 1:1-2) while in His preexistent form, the invisible Word of God (Gen 1:2; Php 2:6), and the world was made by Him. The Son is eternal, because the Word is eternal, and when the Son was begotten in the flesh, “life in Himself” (John 5:26) was passed on to Him by His Father. Ephesians 4:4-6 KJV There is … one Spirit, … [5] One Lord, … [6] *_One God and Father_* … who is … *_in you all._* Revelation 19:13 KJV And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: *_and his name is called The Word of God._* No one knows, or has seen the Father, but the Son. Because though they would see Him no more in the flesh, “at that Day” (Pentecost) He would manifest “Himself” in the Spirit to live inside of them. Not only Him, but the Father also lives inside the Believer, because they are two who are one inseparable Spirit. THIS IS A MUST READ Scripture teaches God is: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, the Godhead. But the Trinity doctrine (how it's taught) is not biblical, for this doctrine teaches that these Three are self-existent, having no beginning, which is only partially true. The truth is that the Father is the One who is self-existent. Jesus Christ, God the Son, the Son of God, who manifested in the flesh, and dwelt among us, says this to His disciples about Himself: (John 16:27-28) "For the Father Himself loves you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God. I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father." Jesus was saying to them, which they believed, that He "came out from God." In other words, the Father emanated out of Himself, the Son. Thus, the Son had a beginning. When did this take place? It took place before anything was created, in the forever past. John the Baptist said concerning God's only begotten Son: (John 1:18) "No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, He hath declared Him." "The bosom of the Father" is the inward part of Himself, and John is telling us that the Son came out from God. The Son of God came out (emanated) from God, thus why He is called the Son of God, for He is of God the Father. This is also why Jesus Christ said, "I and my Father are one" (Jn. 10:30). Also, we need to keep in mind that Jesus said, "The Father is greater than I" (Jn. 14:28). So, when Jesus said that, He was not saying they were not equal, they are, for Jesus said, "My Father works hereto, and I work," (Jn. 5:17), which saying made Him equal with God the Father. (Jn. 5:18). The word "equal" here is not referring to greatness, but in Person and Character. The Person and Character of God is the word that He spoke to His Chosen people on top of Mt. Sinai, the Ten Commandments, which is the heart of God. Concerning the Holy Spirit, scripture says that He proceeds from the Father (Jn, 15:26). Given the Holy Spirit is a Spirit, Who He proceeds from the Father, then the Holy Spirit is the heart of the Father, Who is "equal" with the Father and the Son. This is why scripture says, (1 Jn. 5:7): "For there are Three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one." Now, because nothing is impossible with God, in His infinite wisdom, He brought forth the Son and the Holy Spirit, which are of God the Father, yet individual Persons that are equal with Him. There is another thing that we need to understand: the Father created (bārā'; to make something out of nothing); the Son made (ʿāśâ; to make something out of something else). In other words, God the Father created the cosmos (universe), which is something the Son witnessed (Proverbs 8: 22-31), in the very beginning. The Son also witnessed the heavenly hosts being created by the Father. Later, the Rebellion of Lucifer and the 1/3 of the angels. Afterwards, God the Son "made" (recreated/regenerated) the heavens and the earth. Also, that which was created in the recreation by the Son, which was not created in the initial creation by the Father, was Mankind (Adam and Eve), including the whales, which science proves. The bottom line is this: God is: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and these Three work in unison to bring us to be reconciled to the Father, Who is the greatest, Who is His Law, the Ten Commandments, which is His Person and Character (name). How we know Him is when we walk after and keep His Law, the Ten Commandments (1 Jn. 2:3-4).
The word trinity doesn’t exist in the bible, there is no verse in the bible saying god is three in one, in fact the old and New Testament says god is one, trinity doesn’t make sense, it’s not mentioned in the bible but is in the Quran which says don’t believe in a trinity.
You can say father and son, but whatever you do, don't say mother! Instead say the mysterious mystery of the spiritual third which our brains cannot understand. Not mother, ok?🙄

who will you believe this video or mark in the scriptures about the word Elohim is it plural or singular Notice that the New Testament explains and clarifies the Old Testament very clearly. Deuteronomy 6:4 and Mark 12:29 line up together in the same way. Mark 12:29 Deuteronomy 6:4 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God [from Theos] is one Lord: Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God [from Elohim] is one LORD: Therefore, the Hebrew word Elohim is equal to the Greek word Theos in the eyes of Mark. Whilst in Hebrew, the word Elohim can be both plural or singular (God or gods), in Greek the word Theos is completely singular, meaning God only, not gods (theoi). With the New Testament’s help, we can establish the fact that the word Elohim in Deuteronomy 6:4, and elsewhere in the Old Testament is used to mean God without any plurality to him. The comparative evidence of Mark 12:19 - In Mark 12:29, Christ quotes Deuteronomy 6:4 word for word. This quotation is given in Greek. In other words, Mark himself did the translation from Hebrew to Greek. Therefore, we can compare the meanings between the three languages, Hebrew, Greek and English. The word used for Hebrew “Elohim” is the Greek word “Theos”. Theos is singular hence showing the intended singular meaning of Elohim in Deuteronomy 6:4. What is said here is a very logical practice that all Bible interpreters do. If we have a statement written both in the Old and the New Testament, given that the New testament sometimes offer the clearer expression, we have an advantage to understand the Old Testament statement better.

Nicene Creed AD 325 We believe in one God, the Father, the almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one being with the Father. Through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven; by the power of the Holy Spirit he became incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and was made man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son he is worshipped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.

Thanks for explaining. I know no more than before I watched this video. Trinity makes no sense at all. Jesus never claimed this and Christians are just going to extreme and change the teachings of Jesus. If he was god , he would’ve known when is the hour. He clearly said he doesn’t. All prophets in Old Testament clearly said one god. Never once claimed 3 in 1. Also its mind blowing that people actually believe humans killed god.
If God came down in the flesh today and proved it to our world governments, what do you think they would do? They would kill him, hide him, and call everyone who believed in Him “fake news.”
Trinity is just like a phone, old phones just for communication, new phones not just for communication, also can photo, video games , online watching video , so Trinity is function and different identity of GOD

@@marcusvanrensberg6060 : Alternatively, it is as the text suggests. Jesus is subordinate to his Father; is one who is granted all authority as the messianic King; and unlike the Father who has life in himself, this has been given to the Son. Jesus is no simple human being and much more than a prophet. He is the 'Anoimted One' , the promised messiah/Christ, the Son of God. He is 'one ' with his heavenly father in purpose just as he is one with his disciples. God lives in Jesus just as he lives in us. Jesus himself makes it clear that he has a God. Best explanation I’ve ever heard of it. They are 3 and separate but somehow also are 1.
Come see the content I point to on this!
Luke 22:41-4
41 And he withdrew from them about a stone’s throw away, and he bent his knees and began to pray, 42 saying: “Father, if you want to, remove this cup from me. Even after he was raised from the dead to the spirit realm, Jesus called his followers “my brothers.” Matthew 28:10
10 Then Jesus said to them: “Have no fear!
What the Nicene Creed says:
“We believe . . . in one Lord Jesus Christ . . . that is of the substance of the Father, God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God.”

Who is “the first and the last”?
The Bible applies this term both to Jehovah God and to his Son, Jesus, but with different meanings. Consider two examples.
At Isaiah 44:6, Jehovah says: “I am the first and I am the last. There is no God but me.” Here Jehovah highlights that he is the everlasting true God; besides him, there is no other. (Deuteronomy 4:35, 39) In this case, then, the expression “the first and the last” has the same meaning as “the Alpha and the Omega
Additionally, the term “the First [pro’tos, not alpha] and the Last [e’skha·tos, not omega]” occurs at Revelation 1:17, 18 and 2:8. (Acts 10:40) In this sense, Jesus can properly be called “the First and the Last.”
Does Revelation 22:13 prove that Jesus is “the Alpha and the Omega”?

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit….”-Matthew 28:19
Notice that the word “name” is singular (not plural i.e., “names”). As Walter Martin founder of the Christian Research Institute put it:
“God is not triplex (1+1+1)-He is triune (1X1X1), and he has revealed Himself fully in the Person of our Lord, Jesus Christ (Col. 2:9, John 14:9).” -Christian Research Institute tract, Jehovah’s Witnesses and the Trinity

So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God."
During His trial before the Jewish leaders, the High Priest demanded of Jesus, " I charge you under oath by the living God: Tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God" (Matthew 26:63). Hebrew 1:3 expresses this very clearly, "The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of His being."
Another example can be found in John 17:12 where Judas is described as the "son of perdition." John 6:71 tells us that Judas was the son of Simon.

The following is what God’s Word says about the Trinity:
1) There is one God (Deuteronomy 6:4; 1 Corinthians 8:4; Galatians 3:20; 1 Timothy 2:5).

What else would it be?
Help me understand, thnx
im only a simple theist, thats the place im approaching this from. i have read (and loved) Ed Fesers book "5 proofs of the existence of God" and i found it logically convincing. however i saw in it evidence for a God that a perfect simplicity and unity. and this is from a catholic scholar, mind you.
i guess i was wondering if the trinity aspect of faith can also be presented logically without contradicting the logic of fesers 5 proofs, or if it is simply a "leap of faith", something one believes because they trust the authority of the doctrines that speak of it (which isnt at all an unreasonable thing, i rely much on authoritive ideas in regular life, as i have done since i was a child and needed guidance from parents and other adults. i just want clarity on the concept) Thank you@ronaldorivera4674
i appeal only to logic. nothing else. i feel you are saying, without saying, that you will not give me reason but your reason is the bible, or some scripture. so you've answered my question it seems without commiting yourself to it, which is unsatisfactory and dissapointing. i prefer to speak straight
to reiterate if u want to answer me, just explain my question. explain with logic. God is that which nothing greater can be conceived, God is not confined to space or time or any constraints. If there was more than one God or if God had more than 1 part, or more than 1 personality, what would distinguish one from the other? one would not know more than the other, they would not exist in different spaces. it would be like two perfectly overlapping identities. it just makes no logically sense. perfection has to be one. the wills cannot be different for each will is absolute without challenge or opposition. now i tell my kids that me and their mother are both completely in charge, but thats a lie i tell my kids, obviously me and their mother cannot be completely in charge because in fact if we argue one of us gets their way over the other. so in fact their mother is in charge it turns out. i just dont admit it to them ;)
anyway i will follow logic and the faith that follows logic appeals to me. i am convinced that there is a God BECAUSE of logic. but you dont seem happy that i am a theist and a believer in God because i dont believe in the same concept as God as you do? that i find odd. go read "5 proofs" for yourself. or better yet, come up with your own proof to convince me all over that God exists, and that also exists as 3 divine personalities or whatever the trinity is that u believe.
i cant accept any scripture as divine if it flies in the face of logic. 2+2=4 (i know thats considered racist nowadays lol. see how religions always fight against logic? like the faith of CRT)

But Jesus said the Father and I are one (John 10:30)
One God in three person.
The evidence is poor.
who told you to call God a trinity was it God or man? Luke 20:4
I grew up understanding the three same people as this:
1. GOD the FATHER in HEAVEN
The HUMANS of this EARTH have made changes to everything they did not understand in every Cultural Period/EMPIRE Rule since the beginning of time and that it was the Proceeding Culture that Interpreted the Previous Culture, in their own way or to their own purposes.( ie Read about How the Catholic Church used the Pagan peoples (Visi-goths and Vaga-Goths and Germanic Tribes own holidays and pagan believes and aligned them with Christian Beliefs in order to subjugate them or bring them in to the fold)
what? There is 3 person in one God. The Father ,Son and Holy Ghost there all existed at the same time and forever they have existed
Is Jesus in the Godhead?
The fullness of the Godhead is in Jesus! Jesus has all principality and power. Colossians 2:8-9.
@ADoug thanks, that was precisely my point with the rhetorical question: in Him dwells ALL of the Godhead bodily! Amen

The following is what God’s Word says about the Trinity:
1) There is one God (Deuteronomy 6:4; 1 Corinthians 8:4; Galatians 3:20; 1 Timothy 2:5).

Do you believe this and Luke 7:16?
"Fear gripped them all, and they began glorifying God, saying, "A great prophet has arisen among us!" and, "God has visited His people!""

I also wont change mine based off of how I understand scripture.. not twisting it. If you have a different understanding on it, so be it. Either way we are still brothers and sisters and we will have to answer to God in the end for our mistakes!

Pagan trinity
To believe the trinity doctrine, when reading the scripture we must believe that God sent Himself into the world, died to reconcile the world to Himself, raised Himself from the dead, ascended to Himself in heaven, pleads before Himself in heaven to reconcile the world to Himself, and is the only mediator between man and Himself… We must believe also that in the garden God prayed to Himself, if it were possible, to let the cup pass from Himself, and a thousand other such absurdities.” - (J.N. Loughborough)
Some of those other absurdities it teaches is that Jesus is the immortal God but died,
is the invisible God but was seen,
is the omnipotent God but was strengthened by an angel,
is the omniscient God but did not know the day of his return,
is as great as His Father but His Father is greater than He,
is equal with the Father and yet He is the Father,
is the Son but the same age as the Father,
is the Son who has a Father and the God who has no Father,
is the begotten Son and the unbegotten God,
is very God and very man, came out from Himself,
prayed to Himself, gave power to Himself,
thanked Himself, bore witness of Himself,
went back to Himself
sits at the right hand of Himself,
is His own Father and His own Son,
left Heaven and yet was there all the time.
Not one of three mysterious beings making up “one God.”
How can you possibly believe that Jesus is NOT the begotten Son of the eternal Father and share John 3:16 with others in the hope of inviting them to take part in eternal salvation. Doesn't John 3:16 become a lie the moment you deny He is a Son?
A metaphor did not send a metaphor to save us. A Father sent us His Son to save us.
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

(John 20:28)

THIS IS A MUST READ
Scripture teaches God is: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, the Godhead. But the Trinity doctrine (how it's taught) is not biblical, for this doctrine teaches that these Three are self-existent, having no beginning, which is only partially true. The truth is that the Father is the One who is self-existent. Jesus Christ, God the Son, the Son of God, who manifested in the flesh, and dwelt among us, says this to His disciples about Himself: (John 16:27-28)
"For the Father Himself loves you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God. I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father."
Jesus was saying to them, which they believed, that He "came out from God." In other words, the Father emanated out of Himself, the Son. Thus, the Son had a beginning. When did this take place? It took place before anything was created, in the forever past.
John the Baptist said concerning God's only begotten Son: (John 1:18)
"No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, He hath declared Him."
"The bosom of the Father" is the inward part of Himself, and John is telling us that the Son came out from God.
"For there are Three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."
Now, because nothing is impossible with God, in His infinite wisdom, He brought forth the Son and the Holy Spirit, which are of God the Father, yet individual Persons that are equal with Him.

Facts
who will you believe this video or mark in the scriptures about the word Elohim is it plural or singular
Notice that the New Testament explains and clarifies the Old Testament very clearly.

Nicene Creed AD 325
We believe in one God, the Father, the almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen. Amen.
