He never met Donald Trump. Respect has to be earned not given blindly . You can quote anyone you want… Wheeler was a justice in 1928. There was no 24 hr news, no internet which allows anyone to say anything and have it repeated a million times in a second. There’s no lie detector screening information as it comes in It reminds me of Trump who uses his right to free speech to lie, deceive, effect revenge on anyone who speaks out against him. He stirs up fear and anger and distrust of the government, law enforcement, the media, the military, lawyers, judges, women, the election process and the officials that run that process, he stirs up disdain and distrust against the Democratic Party, the constitution, NATO, our allies - he has pretty much torn apart everything America stands for. He trusts, tries to emulate and repeats the rhetoric of evil dictators, and war mongers and white nationalists. So if I scoff at the Supreme Court and question the fairness of their decisions, I have a right to. There is no built in integrity, honesty or nonpartisan justice that somehow deserves our blind allegiance. If you have to mandate morality, integrity and fairness and force we the people to blindly accept, have faith in, and follow nine human beings with all their own beliefs, values and principles and biases to make potential life long laws that effect even the most intimate freedoms we are entitled to, and continue on till death do us part. No, we have every right to insist that our freedom is built into the fabric of the laws of this nation and to have a voice and means to vote out politicians and invite in a government which has been equitably elected to serve knowing that they have a few years to get it right for the people. And they must not be deified and worshipped as the all knowing and all powerful answers to lifelong laws and not be held accountable for every decision they make

Yes, they do meet in a federal congress, but they themselves are state-bound offices who are then sent TO congress. They can only speak, act, and vote on behalf of one state.

It's not especially "legal" to prevaricate. It is, however, suspicious that they want to question a state's determination by a CO judge that under US Law an individual clearly has engaged in "insurrection." There's zero reason for the 1st, 3rd, or 14th Amendment to except anyone from US Codes which delineate what "insurrection" mean.

The 11th circuit court of appeals ruled that when mark meadows was involved in the phone call with the Georgia Secretary of State that he was acting as a member of the Trump campaign as not as chief of staff. Also the immunity argument has never been brought before. Most judges regardless of who appointed them and what their ideology is don’t like doing something that’s never been done before.

The issue is how does the 14th amendment affect Donald Trump’s behavior on January 6. One has to prove that Trump acted to overthrow the US government. Objecting to an election is a right any candidate can make. Emotions about any candidate is not cause for a hasty decision.

Rudy: 'Trial by combat', Trump: 'Fight like Hell', 'They are taking your rights away', get mad as hell, because in their words, in the actions AND inactions, Donald Trump allowed the terror to reign on Jan. 6, and people died as well as being injured! Donald Trump was why they came, not for Rudy, not for Hillary, not for Obama (lest any be confused)?

There's no proof otherwise Merrick Garland would have prosecuted Trump under 18 usc §2383 and if convicted would then be disqualified from holding office along with being fined, jailed.
That's the appropriate enforcement remedy for section 3 since section 5 only gives enforcement power to congress through legislation.

It's all the defenses interpretation of the 14th amendment section 3. Our forefathers didn't mean it to be interrupted the way they are putting it. They meant anyone involved or causes an insurrection should be charged and not be able to run for office again. Not even a president!!
The appetite court judges should stop the delays of the court processes that are set to go on independently before our election. Let him appeal the charges against him after he's been charged, just like anyone else would be. And stop the lies and fraud and interference of the court cases. They can rule that the cases against him are done before the election. They know that there's enough evidence against him and I believe they are letting all the delay of the courts from prosecuting and charging him before the election. Something is wrong here, myself I believe there's bribes, conflict of interest and there's no bipartisan of any kind of the appetite court judges. I do believe that they have the power to rule that that cases against him happen before the election. Let him appeal the charges after the cases are done, I know that I could never delay or interfere with the courts like he is. They know if he's charged he'll be removed from running or holding any office again. But politics seem to be all about money or favors to get things changed or thrown out by donations by the rich and large companies.

So if going after Hunter, for being Joe's son and doing business in foreign countries, is now illegal, than equal justice, Ivanka having an office in the WH and doing business in China, she should expect prison time? Eric and Don Jr. taking over all the other 'businesses' would make them an inheritor of those fraudulent businesses! FEDERAL crime is attached to former and current owners of such!

If a person was found to be guilty of any other crime the consequences would not be placed on the government, the guilty party would suffer those sanctions and adjustments!!
