I like this a lot more as an edited RUclips series instead of live vods.
I don't think it makes that much of a difference. Any reasons you like the non live version better?
@@ThaAmjab Personally I prefer the non-live videos as they don't spend extra time focusing on being live. The banter is just as good recorded but feels denser. Not that I want lewd commentary, but the Live aspect certainly homogenizes Stephen's retorts. Conversely I do enjoy the long winded IASP chats. My favorite parts of Cmdr Vs has always been their personal interaction, so as long as that stays, I will.
@@ThaAmjab I personally find it much easier to find time to watch an edited episode at a little over an hour instead of needing to invest over 2 hours per episode.

I'm loving these 3 player commander game. Justin best table friend/commentator ever. Wish they let Justin play the game though. I bet he's good.
Justin is the devil in disguise. Everyone at the table realizes how good justin really is which is why they attack him. Thats the reason hes my favorite.

After watching the original concept episode in the Randomonium, I loved the idea and started work on my own. Favourite artist is Nils Hamm (Baleful Strix), so going for Skullbriar as general (which sadly means no strix). Not loads to choose from, so it won't play all that nicely, but my god it will look beautiful. And Grave Titan. Love the idea, love the show. Keep up the good work guys. Or don't. I'm not your dad.

Yeah, but do you really want 9000 mana on your second main phase if you can only spent it on a random 2/1 for 5 without carddraw?
I'm not partial to anyone, really enjoy the show and all the players, but since every episode seems to be 3 vs.1 no matter the points, Have a pretty hard time watching the same episode over and over again with different cards.
My Asmira Guay deck is my favorite to play, always beautiful. I usually play it on a Bitterblossom playmate, the best of her cards I can't play in the deck.
I had a sweet control deck that ran 4 Mundungu, Erttai, and counters. Slowly siphoning away 4 life each turn and then hard countering something was fun.

The best IASIP episode is clearly The Nightman Cometh followed by the Gang Buys a Boat.
OK so just because of things like Ertai I wish they would randomize seats as well. Like Jon legit has no reason to not counter Justin's stuff if he hasn't used his commander by that point.
It was great, until about 20 mins in.... then reading twitch comments and questions. They dont need help with banter...
The game play is fun and engaging, we dont need jokes from the back row.
I'm a weird mix of happy and sad that no one went with the Ashling + 99 mountains option
Weyne reynolds actually is one of my favorite artists. he has an art of terminate that looks amazing, Zo-zu the punisher looks great, Rafiq of the many has awesome artwork.
My personal favourites are wild nacatl and warren pilferers since there is so much going on in those.

my boy Ertai! He was the commander of my Esper zombies deck before Varina was released. He's still in the list.
2 hours is a bit long even when watched sped up, the chemistry is struggling and the gameplay reminds me of kitchen table magic from middle school (in a bad way). Do you guys like making this format more than the old, better edited and streamlined version? Also lol at trying to pronounce repentant.

My opinion, easily the best artist throughout the history of Magic. Have an Asmira EDH deck build myself, btw. Half of the non-land cards are her artwork. Pretty fun and effective deck, no less.
Why didn't you guys put the name of the artist that the deck was based on next to the name of the commander ?
Just got to this but I'll throw my two cents in.
Justin, when he is playing a deck he built that isn't jank, is the kind of player whom you either take out/make irrelevant, or go on to lose too his inevitability build up.
People complaining about 3v1 vs Justin are right. But the reverse can often be true. The games Justin wins tend to go long, consist of one or two extremely long turns due too the many many interactions his decks can bring together when you let them build up, and generally are a snooze-fest. I routinely skip ahead to see who wins in any episode where it seems like we might be building to a 2 hour "They ignored Justin, and he went on to win in long-winded fashion".
Likewise of course, the games Justin doesn't win are often him being smashed early, or ending up wiped out of the elements he needs to successfully build up. A lot of games come down to him drawing and playing a land, and passing.
But that is what you play the kind of decks Justin does, its all or nothing. He either wins big (if slow and boring for me personally to watch) or hes out of the game (either at zero life or irrelevant to the games outcome but allowed to live)

Yeah...live sucks. I don't care about questions, I don't care about subs, I don't care about breaks (despite them being edited out). Despite the initial content not being drastically different, the nuances that are, are just annoying enough to make me not like them. Hopefully next season or some time through this one will go back to normal.

If I were to imitate this I think I'd choose 2 or 3 artists but definitely max it out at 3 of them.
You could have used Christopher Rush and used any card since he made the mana symbols

#TeamParnell. Justin, I have a deck for you. Now I know you hate Kamigawa, but I don't think the other three really understand why you hate it and they need to be instilled with fear of it. Reki, the History of Kamigawa is mono-green storm. You're gonna cast many spells each turn and keep drawing cards so you can keep casting legends. I liked this better when they had four players. These three player games are boring as the spike just keeps spiking people.
The other players could just play with better cards. They're just as much at fault.
The trick to rolling destruction was blue theft. Steal their combos and win that way. The dude i played against had the nerve to say oh il beat your deck. Ah nope. Next.
