In Invincible Nolan rightfully claims his place as leader of the Viltrumites and needs to decide on what to do with the former grand regent
Thragg is imprisoned on the Viltrumite ship and claims their people will never follow someone so weak in body and spirit
Nolan disagrees and is optimistic that they can change their ways but Thragg is adamant that Nolan needs to end him or the Viltrumites will turn on him
Nolan still refuses and truly plans to usher in a new era for his people, starting with Thragg’s punishment
The Viltrumites gather on the ship to witness the fate of former grand regent Thragg as he is brought in chains in front of the people
Thragg wonders if Nolan finally found the courage to do what needs to be done but Nolan wants the new empire to be built on peace and coexistence, releasing Thragg from his shackles and sentencing him to exile so that he may witness the resurgence of their great empire in due time
The former grand regent leaves the ship and flies into the abyss of space, and we wonder if Nolan made the right decision
Later Nolan updates Allen on everything that has transpired, including the fact that they let Thragg go, which infuriates Allen as he makes his own plans to find and destroy the former grand regent for good
INVINCIBLE is an adult animated superhero series that revolves around 17-year-old Mark Grayson, who’s just like every other guy his age - except his father is the most powerful superhero on the planet, Omni-Man. But as Mark develops powers of his own, he discovers his father’s legacy may not be as heroic as it seems.
After an earth-shattering betrayal, Mark fights to rebuild his life. In the face of apocalyptic threats, he discovers new allies and wrestles with his greatest fear - that he might become his father.
In this special prequel episode, Samantha Eve Wilkins, aka Atom Eve, grows up out of place in her own family. When someone from her past re-enters her life, she discovers her tragic backstory and the origin and true potential of her powers.

It would've made a lot more sense if he turned Thragg in to the Coalition for the atrocities he ordered the Viltrumites to commit.
Actually no, because then Nolan would need to send all Viltrumites including himself to the coalition for what they did. The only mistake that Nolan committed is that he sent Thragg on the free flight instead of sending him to the Earth and obliging him to create bonds with humans. In the Earth Thragg would have no chances against all 37 viltrumites + Nolan and his sons
@@user-tm4zs8rq1dI think thragg would’ve tried to fight back with all of his children on earth after they grew strong enough
@@user-tm4zs8rq1dstr8 up Nolan might have been scared that Thragg would have become a self fulfilling prophecy for his people’s existence on earth.
I hope they do that in the animated series. It was a really bad decision to just let him go

Omni-man: I want my new empire to be built on pease and unity!.
Allen: then why did you release a super space hitler!??!?

Omni-Man: So you could deal with it.
I know right even Thragg was shocked that Nolan was going to let him live.
Looked Nolan dead in the eyes and was like
"Dude are you really that stupid to let me live?" 😂
omniman : it would make you guys have something to do
very noble to build the new empire on peace but thragg was too much of an opp to let free. should have just kept him imprisoned

Bro went on to rip his son in half punch a hole through another then kill him this was such a dumb decision😂
I think it was mark who brings up how exiling thragg was a bad idea but Nolan says something like it was the best way for the viltrumites to start learning peaceful ways
They should have just keep this man on prison for 1000 more years. By that time he's out, the empire would be big enough that he wouldn't be a problem. They would just drop his ass😂😂
Thragg ended up ripping him in half after punching a hole through his son, so yeah.

You’d think Omni Man would’ve heard about Napoleon at some point while being on Earth
I just realized that thragg was a genius to talk to Nolan the way he did. Whether he meant to or not, he used reverse psychology and it paid off. I hope in the show they will make it seem as if thragg knows it’s a weakness and this is him exploiting it.
He did it.
He did the "we will vote fascism out" meme.
And then back came fascism and tore Nolan in half.
after being released, he then goes to earth to form the band queen

*clap clap*
Radio ga-ga
A prince of the universe for sure.
"Mama, just killed a man..."

And then he fucked a new army into existence. Way to go Nolan.

You can peacefully imprison someone
Nah, Nolan said "Double it and give it to the next person"
What the hell are those shackles made of lmao

Honestly, they’re most likely more symbolic than anything. If he breaks out of them (which I’m sure he easily could), then he’d just be immediately jumped by all the other viltrumites in the room
Nolan spared Thraggs life in a good faith effort to set a precedent for the new direction of the viltrum empire: a precedent of mercy and compassion over the cruelty and social darwinism that drove the viltrumites to the brink of extinction in the first place. Ironically enough, it was Thragg himself who said that Nolan and Mark represented the future of their people: who and what the viltrumites are destined to become in order to secure their long term survival.
If only he wasnt blinded by his own stubbornness and pride in the end. I wonder if Thragg could have been reformed if he had chosen to live among humanity as he commanded the rest of the viltrumites to do. A universe in which Thragg was redeemed would be interesting to explore, of course thats not the point of his character...
Maybe there's some alternate universe where Thragg joined new empire and help Mark and Oliver get stronger.
Thragg not telling people about nolans blood line is like the number 1 rule of fight club
So many things could go wrong letting him go without Cecil level Intel on him at all times.
Damnn this show gonna get good real soon‼️
Seeing R2 again, make me realize we didn't saw much of him and 3PO in your videos
Nolan’s biggest mistake
True, but it did result in the rebuilding of the Viltrumite Empire for peace, love, and harmony, even if everyone had to suffer for it.
@@Norinia you’re correct however I think they still could’ve reached that outcome without the death of Nolan.
@@Norinia that was the direction Nolan was taking them to begin with.
@@alexshin793No, I don’t think so, first impressions are extremely important, if brutality was the beginning of the regime, it’d be its end as well
Nolan really should have thought this through.
Letting Thragg go sounded like a good show as the new Viltrumite Emperor, but there are plenty of ways Thragg could make him regret it.
- speedblitz Earth and any Coalition planet
- Attack the Viltrumite ship from the outside
- Going after Mark or Debbie
This is honestly the dumbest thing Nolan has ever done
If they continue the story he’s definitely coming back to kill everything
@@rainedayz4605spoiler alert mark Merks him in the future

@@FrancizChavez oh really I never read the comics before. What happened?
@@rainedayz4605 Thragg goes to Thraxa and creates a bunch of children to be his army.
Yeah, let’s release the strongest mofo in the universe. Real smart Nolan…
Omni man really said: i have no enemies
Never let your existential enemy live to fight another day.
I hope that in the show, Thragg escapes from prison or something, just releasing him like that makes Nolan seem naive.
If only th person he let free wasn't thragg then the decision would've been pretty good and noble
Bro is going to make an army of viltrumites because since they can reproduce with practically any species he’s going spread the seeds.
This reminds me when the Autobots wouldn’t kill megatron in the Netflix show and in animated they just decide give him either a trial or redemption only for megatron to stab them in the back
One of the most asinine decisions I've ever seen or heard of.
Thragg is a worse version of Freddy Mercury
So omni man was okay beating up his son severly and kill lots of innocent people, but doesn't want to kill thragg, who is basically space Hitler!?
If i was nolan id honestly want thragg in my forces, for all the absolute shit he done he kept his species alive and cares more about the viltrum empire and its legacy than himself
So basically Nolan is Zuko.
Only difference is that unlike Thragg, Ozai had his Firebending taken away completely by Aang, cutting the potential damage he could do. Thragg still has his powers, so...
@@E-102GammaMKII So he rips Nolan a new one.
One of the worst decisions along with Cecil trying to contain conquest
Nolan: The Coalition would decide your fate...
Nolan: is what I would have considered but you're going exile Nolan.
Nolan: Coalition's approval says what.
Al: What!?
Nolan: Motion carried.
😂
This is a train wreck
its wild how many opportunities they had to kill thragg, they could have killed him on the ship or battle beast could have easily won if he didnt decide to throw the match
You know what a good punishment should have been? Like, if there was something capable of taking away Thragg's viltrumite capabilities, he could have sent him to earth and made him live there.
Letting him go is dumb as hell and made no sense at all.
It actually makes perfect sense: Nolan was trying to set a precedent of mercy and compassion as the new viltrum emperor. Unfortunately for him Thragg is a spiteful, megalomaniacal, iredeemable, psychopath, and he'd rather double down on the ultra-conservative social darwinism that resulted in the viltrumites near extinction in the first place, than adapt and change.
Leader of an empire that's a small step now for the ultimate goal to get the pictures of Spider-Man at long last
Honestly, this was pretty stupid of him to do
Even thragg is smarter than nolan here 💀
Bruh, i was told nolan died. Was this before or did that shit just never happen.
he does die just later on
You are the Superhero who has no problems killing Villains BUT SUDDENLY YOU LET THE BBEG LIVE BC OF THE FUCKING PLOT
I think he should have done a Cecil and hired his ahh.
By doing so he doomed Oliver, himself and Invincible if Eve hadn’t been there. Not a very smart decision in perspective
Okay, here's what I hope they do in the show: Nolan decides to put thragg on trial rather than simply pardon him. It feels wrong to exile a powerful alien to wreck havoc in the universe. By making it a trial of peers, it would show he's trying to introduce new ideas of justice, just that in this case the justice bites back, with the jury deciding to exile instead of execute him, showing more complexity the way Invincible is so great at
And this is where Battle Beast and Thragg fight?
The only mistake that Nolan did is sending Thragg far away from his viltrumite fellows. The best thing that he could do is assigning Thragg a mission on the Earth to create bonds there with other people. This would also work on the Thragg. And do not think that he is unsolvable problem, he just did not have chance to really feel these bonds as all Viltrumites did. While he was on the Earth he was just sitting on his ship, and in the Thraxa folk are more isolated from themselves and his relationships with all his wives were more formal than this would be with human woman.
He ain't welcome on that dirt bag. Also, by that time our planet will be facked into a coma for sure.
Agreed. Instead of exiling him, Nolan should have sentenced him to a regular life on earth. To live and walk amongst regular humans as the rest of the viltrumites did. Thragg probably could have reformed like the rest of them given enough time on earth. And if he decided to just start murder-hoboing everyone out of spite, well he's outnumbered by like 40 to 1, and it only took like 4 viltrumites ganging up on him to beat his ass. So while on earth, they'd be able to monitor him as well, unlike in exile, where they have no idea where he's at or what he's up to.
If Nolan sent Thragg to earth, he could have made an army of human-viltrumite offspring instead of Thraxan, which would have ensured his victory of retaking the throne.
@@RebeccaLynn-ru3ve nope, the main point there is that Thragg could be unable to isolate himself morally from his other viltrumite fellows who have already learnt how to love, thus he will be also conquered by love eventually. Plus he will be unable to make an army of human viltrumites 1)in the bigger rate than other viltrumites 2) without attachments to his kids, because human women will be more demanding in the emotional way than Thraxxan women
I don't understand, if Battle Beast was almost on pair with thragg he couldn't fly so he was always in a disavantage why didn't Allen went down there to finish thragg he had what it takes and no other thing on the planet could hurt him
the holy skript stomps everything
And honestly that’s fine. Exile from the empire was his punishment. He was dealt with by his people.
Now as far as the coalition goes. If they want him dead that’s absolutely fine. They are in jurisdiction to dish him punishment for what he’s done as former.

Shouldve forced him to get into a relationship like the other viltrumites

I’m hoping the show won’t go this direction and they’ll make Thragg flee because he’s mutinied and outnumbered. Otherwise… eh.
The comic book isn’t perfect; it has many flaws, and I love the show for improving them.
PS: season two was DEF a filler season, especially the final half of the last episode.
Your suggestion is even more asinine… Thragg is strong enough to take on everyone. Considering how he dies in the comic it’s unlikely at this point Nolan and Co would be able to pull that off. Nolan’s decision is based on his character arc and him showcasing growth.
@@TheSuavest I’m still hoping the show will sand off the edge of the comic book. Seriously, things like how Cecil dealt with imprisoning Conquest. I hope get we maybe get a scene of dialogue between Cecil and Conquest when he awakens. I feel like that wouldn’t be too out of the realm of possibilities. Like maybe he wakes up half way healed, but too injured to escape, and has a few words with the GDA Director.
@@TheSuavest Yeah, right dude. The other Viltrumites started beating him up enough to knock him down, and have him imprisoned. Did you not read that?
viltrumites are super human. not like captain America 🤣 but how we'd be if we had super abilities
Why tf would Nolan let thragg go
Thus would of been the right thing if they weren't literally God's and could bring a planet to dust on a whim
For human stories this could
Make sense but dude thragg will practically live forever this is not a good plan at all
Who else thinks the Kregg and the other viltrumites beat up Thragg way too easy, let alone be able to beat him at all. Story would have both made more sense and flowed so much better if the viltrumites had attacked thragg and he fought them off and escaped into space. Then everything else continued like in the actual story. I get the author was trying to show omni-man’s change but instead showed Nolan changed into a complete dumbass
We're can I read invincible

First and biggest mistake of his reign
I find it hard to believe that there is an existing device that can keep Thragg imprisoned. The margin of strength differences between the characters, is so VAST, that it’s just hard to believe.
I know right, this has to be a strong metal beyond imagination
@@Florida_man21 I never really thought the metal was all that special. Maybe it’s an effect the device has on beings of great strength. I do however wonder and HOPE the show will slightly fix and explain the different power levels there are.
Their smart atoms significantly increase their strength and durability so the shackles probably just cancel it out
@@Josh-oj9mm Science Fiction stuff. I honestly found it annoying how they never used more Viltrumite weaknesses in the story more often.
