#AdamDriver - Кино
Adam Driver is quickly becoming one of my favorite actors of this generation.
I feel you. Same here.
Yup
He’s my number one celeb crush, and my fave actor.
He's shyte!!!
Yep! He’s so perfectly imperfect. And u can see his passion in everything.
I can't believe that Gilliam actually, finally finished it.
When was Star Wars 9: A New Order Teaser Trailer came out?
He did not.. this is actually another Story!
@@tinotrivino Yeah I remember when Johnny Depp was suppose to be in it...
@@seymourwang1788 some of it was filmed over ten years ago.. they had started it
Saw a documentary about Gilliams struggles to get this film done, and that was 12 years ago life imitating art, great film to watch before or after you watch this film.
*Sees thumbnail*
The man who killed Han Solo
I’ll watch anything that has Adam Driver in it
Same!
Oh, me too. I see that little face and I can't turn away.
Same here
As long as it doesn't have Rey in it
@@JackFrostIsHere 🙄🙄🙄
One advantage of the movie taking Gilliam so long is the casting. Jonathan Pryce aged into the role, and Johnny Depp isn't here.
valar originally it was Jean Rochefort (famous french actor who died a few years ago) who was playing Don Quixote.
whats your problem with Johnny Depp?
Thank God!
It was a french actor who was cast into the Don Quixote role, but he got sick or injured around production period. Then they had other problems, like the locations that they were using turned out to be right below NATO aircraft training exercises. And then their sets got flooded and washed away.
There's a documentary about the making of the movie that never got made, put together with behind the scenes footages.
@@Serryy Nothing particularly if you want a predictable role. Depp's been around so long everyone sort of already knows how he'll act when you see him in a movie. Like watching Bruce Willis, Nicolas Cage, or Dwayne Johnson, you already have good idea of what's coming character wise. Last movie I seen where Depp did something different was Black Mass.
Me seeing Adam driver shirtless after the many memes is a strange feeling
For me is a good feeling...I'd see shirtless Adam Driver all day if I could
@@Verylola90 And he DOES have an eight-pack...I remember when he had off hish shirt during The Last Jedi, the entire cinema was snickering; you could tell they all had seen the Saturday Night Life sketch.
I heard that he has 8 pack. That he's shredded.
It's hard to believe Gilliam was finally able to make this movie. I remember watching Lost in La Mancha over a decade ago and thinking how sad it was that Gilliam never got to complete his dream project. Now, here we are, with the film finally set to be released. I will watch this just to support Gilliam.
I know I’m late in asking but how was it?
@@calowenby1654 Haven't actually seen it.
I liked it - if you have any interest in Don Quixote you should watch it - especially given the back story!
Adam Driver needs to do more knightly movies, The Last Duel was astounding.
I have that book sitting on my nightstand and won't let myself see the movie till after I read it.
I'm a simple woman... I see Adam Driver I click! 😂
Adam driver is a straight up badass
Love Terry Gilliams movies so can't wait for this
I remember watching the documentary about Terry Gilliam's "Don Quixote" about 15 years ago or so, in an independent theater. It was called, "Lost in La Mancha". And basically, it was everything you saw in this trailer, but, all the setbacks with schedule production, financial backers not keeping their promises, and other misfortunes. I believe Gilliam had originally selected Johnny Depp to play the part that Adam Driver plays in this movie. So, hopefully it turns out to be everything he hoped it would.
didnt they have to train the actor to ride a horse, after he finally learned he fell off and they had to find a replacment?Flash floods and all sorts going on
Yes! That was a hilarious movie! A good documentary...I never thought it would get finished. I want to see this just to see Gilliam's finished work
It is anlther Story! although based on a Story of Don Quijote (in a weird one lol) but its not the original Script anymore!
Sadly i didn't like this very much, it seems Terry was so obsessed with getting it done it forgot to make a film.. it's true when the critics calmed it's a Hodge podge of ideas.. it's incoherent, a little boring and doesn't make a lot of sense but it has some highlights. i think the saga or getting the film made was far more interesting than the film itself.
MephProduction Critics!
This man knows how to pick roles
Right?
I love Adam Driver.
Ben Solo ... did you see Paterson ??? I used to live there so I had to see this flic ... artsy but good
At first I thought it was Steve Coogan.
Ben Solo I can tell
I drive Adam Love
When I saw the title I thought it was Don Quixote Doflamingo but never mind
The OverallBirtch Channel but it looks good either way
I mean, Doffy himself might be happy to know that.
So I'm not the only one
Exactly
The OverallBirtch Channel You beat me to it
Adam Driver is doing some interesting stuff lately.
I remember the trauma of reading Don Quijote at school and having to do vocabularies... Damn Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra used every single word in the Spanish language, I think he even made up some, and I think he knew he would be torturing ninth graders with all those archaic words in the future...
Im reading now in 12 grade, and not going to lie, I'm loving it
lol im a native spanish speaker but have never read it , i mean i tried but not for homework
Ugh, you unlocked a core memory from high school Spanish class🤣
Gilliam to Fallon: "Last time I tried to make this you were in diapers... now I'm wearing them... "
Really enjoyed this. Felt like a combination of Fisher King and Baron Munchausen, and likely was meant to fit that overall theme. Easily one of the better movies in Gilliam's later career.
Thanks!
I agree it's very much a modern Muchausen, but disagree it's one of his better movies.. i personally thought it was rubbish certainly not as good as his previous two film.. plus i never liked Much either so that doesn't help as this is pretty much the same thing.
@@MephProduction I said later career for a reason. Since 2005 his movies have taken a general downturn. Nothing particularly bad, but not at the level of his earlier work. Quixote felt a little more focused and a little closer to his earlier work (which made sense considering it was an older script).
As for your views on Munchausen that's where we may never agree; it's my favorite Gilliam film.
I don't think Don Quixote is his best movie by any means, but for me it's better than what we've gotten from him recently.
@@gilbertgotfried Don't a agree, his recent moves have been fantastic (Tideland being the exception) and i felt the opposite that this film had no focus.. all the focus was Terry getting it finished to prove a point because we know how stubborn he is... but there was no focus on the film itself... it's an absolute mess. and not a fun one like Munchausen. I thought so anyway, i don't often dislike things
@@MephProduction Obviously we have very different viewpoints and I have no intention to argue with you about it. Tideland was the only post 2005 movie to strike an emotional chord, even if the emotion was negative. Everything else was mediocre, albeit visually appealing. Quixote was very easy to follow, had clearly defined themes throughout, and most importantly had characters I gave a damn about. Again it was no masterpiece, but it was an improvement.
If my man Adam Driver is in it, I'm watching.
Star Wars Episode 9: The Man Who Killed Don Quixote
So unfunny.
I am Obi-Wan Quixote de La Mancha
Huh, I dont get the joke. Explain it.
"The Man Who Had A Huge Upper Body In Last Jedi - Trailer"
the guy from the blackkklansmen is why I clicked lol
Adam Driver, just fresh off from his Oscar nomination for Blackkklansman.
I bought the movie a week ago on bluray, of course I live in europe. This movie is great I recommend it to everyone especially fans of Terry Gilliam it's a masterpiece.
i'm a fan and didn't like it.. sadly
Dierli, you have the movie. Please, look at credits/commentaries. In theater they showed really fast real name of imaginary village Tierra de Suenos, could not record it. It is in Spain, Navarre region. Could you, please, write back real name?
Went to Premier last night. It is Gilliam through and through. Loved the music, sets and script. Most of all I loved the quick pacing. Never a dull moment.
Ben Swolo.
Damn it I wanted to comment that
Swallow?
Wow, an English-speaking actor who actually pronounces the name right. "Don Quixote" instead of "Don Key-oatee". I'm impressed.
All these people making references to star wars and GoT.... congratulations for realizing that some actors have been in more than one thing.
I’m not a sequel trilogy guy. But I’m glad to see that Adam’s career has rocket launched after his excellent performance in those movies.
There's always an actor who stand outs in every trilogy.
original trilogy = Harrison Ford
prequel trilogy = Ewan McGregor
sequel trilogy = Adam Driver
Niall Craig you said it 👏🏻
Frankly he was one of the only good parts. I don't even think kylo was that well written but his acting saved him from being just an inconsistent character.
A movie 25 years in the making that hardly anyone will care about. Seriously, the only reason anyone would go see it is because Adam Driver is in it.
I saw this movie. great picture.
" 🔥 The Most Interesting Sith, In the Galaxy 🔥 "
Star Wars and Game of Thrones!! 😂😂😂😂
Seeing his film finished has to be the best news of 2018. The curse has lifted everyone, and I can't wait to see this in front of my eyes.
Adam Driver is becoming my favorite actor ever, and so quickly too!!!
Finally the movie is coming 😁👍
Already own it on Blu-ray here in Belgium😁
@@wesleyvancauwenbergh5226 really ? Cool 🙂👍
@@HighAshy Yep and it's a good movie really liked it
@@wesleyvancauwenbergh5226 very certainly a good movie but I haven't seen it yet. The film hasn't come out here in Hungary yet. + I like Adam very much and I watch all his films
So Don Quixote is a knight of ren
No one killed Don Quixote…legends never die.
I might need to watch this film again because I simply didn't believe that it was good. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. The journey was interesting, but the build-ups did not deliver, in my opinion. I thought it was a bit predictable too because I seemed to know everywhere it was going before it got there. Still, I thought Adam Driver and Jonathan Pryce were both very good in this film; especially Jonathan Pryce.
Adam acted his way outta iraq
He's got this
I'm right in the middle of the obligatory Adam Driver binge of the day. Anyone want join ?
I like that this film went through absolute hell to get made, and the end result isn't even that good lmao
I waited 20 years for this piece of CRAP, really what a joke
To think this almost starred Johnny Depp and almost came out in 2002.
So this was what Ben Solo did before he became Kylo Ren
it’s crazy how Adam Driver makes this seem like it’s set in the past
That's Jonathan Price under that character?!
Olga Kurylenko
Sir Jonathan Pryce
Adam Driver
Great cast. 😊
if only you guys know how long it takes to make a Don Quixote wtf almost all big studios want to but get stuck somewhere so this is kinda special
Me thinking this was a star wars teaser lol.
Lord Salt how??
I'd much rather see a Terry Gilliam film than ever sit through another new Star Wars movie.
Is this finally getting a wide release!?!!! I remember watching this trailer a year ago.
First Han Solo and now Don Quijote, that guy has no heart
So gilliam tried to make a movie then he makes a movie about making a movie on how he failed to make a movie... hmmm
MMXXIII ❤️🩹🖤🚬🍺🧭🎼☮️♾️...
Sesinize yüreğinize sağlık...
I love Adam driver!
I saw this movie in France, he is incredible.
Came for a comedic period piece
Staying for a comedy about making a period piece
Supreme Leader himself
I saw Adam’s face. I clicked.
Hahaha omg they spelled Stellan Skarsgård's name wrong! XD
Ben Swolo’s ancient adventure looks weird
Gilliam has an affinity for having main characters who are (or appear to be) deranged: Adventures of Baron Munchausen, Brazil, The Fisher King, 12 Monkeys, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas validate this. This is another example, but here a crazy man believes he's another crazy man.
Also watch Lost in La Mancha (2002), a documentary which chronicles Gilliam's first attempt to make this film.
Brilliant actors
5 oscar
It's Stellan skarsgård, not skarsgärd!!!
Pretty blatant error...
Stop it, Kylo. This is not you.
Luffy tried and failed haha
Bruh i remember reading don quijote
Ok, this looks very cool, but as a Swede, I have to correct something.
They spelled Stellan Skarsgård incorrectly. It's supposed to be an Å, not an Ä. 2 completely different letters.
1:29
YAsss more Adam Driver!!!!
Gilliam is an international treasure more important to film than Kubrick
Definitely was expecting something other than a comedy
Adam 💙
The book was amazing and hilarious! Love it!
I remember a documentary called Lost in La Mancha back in 2001 about a similar movie with the same title being made by Terry Gilliam and starred Johnny Depp as a man who goes back in time and meets the real Don Quiote. The doc showed how time, Mother Nature, and injuries sidelined and ended the whole production. It had the same title as this one, The Man Who Killed Don Quiote, but looks like the story is different.
Containment effort for SCP-4028 has failed. SCP-4028 jumped medium to visual base ones. Memetic countermeasures deploying to stop the public knowledge of SCP-4028
This new Keanu Reeves movie looks pretty good
Shirtless Adam 😍😍
The man who DIDN'T killed Luke Skywalker
Bye bye Star Wars!! Hello Adam Driver.
Adam Driver, Adam Driver, Adam Driver,...! Are only kids here? This is a TERRY GILLIAM movie! By far the strongest point to watch it! ❤️
He should play a younger Severus Snape
Jonathan Pryce is brilliant
He really is. That looked like a _lot_ of hard work.
I'm a simple man, I see Kylo Ren, I press play
What Kylo does in his free time
Heat stroke man, it's a killer.
I forgot that Gilliam actually finished this movie. I need to watch it sometime.
Why do they have South American music over a film set in Spain?
The return of Ben Swolo
This is adam driver doing his fans a service.
Who else here because of One Piece??
Gamer869 I am Don Quixote Doflamingo.
Best villain
I just thought about this, what if Doflamingo was actually like Don Quixote. Just read so many adventure books that he went nuts and only claimed he was badass. Luffy punches him once and flamingo dies.
"GUM GUM- oh he's dead?"
@@Agrellar
Then he'd just be Gan Fall. But it's obviously just a homage, like his dad being named after Don Quixotes horse.
I never thought I’d see the day where people saw “Don Quixote” and thought of One Piece instead of the actual story...
If this movie was made in 1998, Johnny Depp would've probably started in it.
@Ben Richards Yep Gilliam has been trying to make this movie as long as I can remember.
The High Sparrow has been knighted
Pretty solid (re) interpretation of a book that’s over 400 years old. Even Cervantes could never have predicted cinema, or the internet, or RUclips...
Adam driver is such a dork😂
Ok, I didn’t know Jonathan Pryce could do that! I thought he spoke like the High Sparrow everywhere he went...
You mean Pirates?
Don Quixote y Kylo Panza
Wow, they really know how to put the HOT in Don Qee-HOT-te. ;)
