Same. I just bought a separate screen mount because I was angry with not being able to tilt it. Only to learn that it can, while trying to rip that thing off :-D either way, happy with the separate mount for different reasons
Thank you. My husband thinks I'm a hero because he has been struggling with this for an hour or so and I just watched this and had it done in 5mins. Legend mate. You are worth your weight in gold.
Now that I think about it, tbh when I was putting it together I was literally thinking to myself "wow that's really simple and easy assembly design". I completely overlooked the fact that there's no clear or obvious disassembly method. The inside clicks into place internally with no obvious external ejection mechanism.
@@davidmassey8773 This is even worse on the C24 144hz curved model. The stand extends so far that it cross into the mouse's path unless you put the monitor so far away that you need a pair of binoculars to see the screen. I've seen some people online sawing off the parts that sticks out and the monitor is still stable so the feet not only a hindrance but also useless.
Can’t believe this video is 4 years old. lmao. just bought a samsung curved monitor couple of days ago & was returning it since wife wanted a new computer which already has a monitor. Struggled for half an hour, got frustrated & googled to see how to break the samsung monitor apart. Google recommended this video. Watched it & followed advice to put the bottom back on the stand. Then whacked the bottom plate just like in the video & it popped right out easily. Awesome youtube video for those who have the samsung curved monitor. 👍
You are my hero. I couldn't figure it out from the awful (picture only) directions. I'm trying to return the monitor and could NOT break this. After watching this, I had it done in less than a minute. Thank you!
OMGOODNESS, I was kinda skeptical but tried it anyway and this only took me 3 seconds to undo. I didn't want to remove the whole back side, no need. It was so simple. Thanks so much, Toby!!
At the very beginning of this video, from your body language, I thought you were actually going to pick it up by the bottom peice and slam it into the wall haha. My volume was muted for the first 15 seconds of the video. When I saw that this vid was legit though, I was relieved. You saved me at least 45 minutes.
I'm finally getting rid of it -- I'm selling it or donating it -- and while trying to remove the damn thing I had a vague memory of how hard it was the last time I put it apart, and that I had come look it up on youtube. And I'm back here again watching you do it. Many thanks for the help 2 years apart.
Yep, this is essentially what I had to do as well. Opening the case is indeed a bit much,. Once you have popped the base/vertical stand off, it mounts just fine and the remaining pivot is not visible. It does take a surprising amount of force to pop off, but it WILL come off if one is insistent enough. Thanks for making this video. It helped me too.
Had this kind of stand on a different model of Samsung monitor. Was getting it for somebody else and decided to assemble the stand to check for defects. Stressed for half an hour trying to detach this stand piece afraid to break it to put it in the box again. Did it in a minute after saw that it won't break anything. Even with detached bottom flat piece and applying more force while jiggling the middle piece came out no problem. Thank you!
I have been trying to detach that stand for months now and nothing worked - after watching your videao (additionally hitting it with a hammer) the silly thing popped out!!! You are a life saver Toby Smith!!! ♥
Just bought this.monitor today from CEX it's to be wall mounted in my kitchen for fire stick. I have spent ages trying to find a way to remove the pivot bit, thanks to this you showed me I only need to remove the base connection. 👍
Dear Smith, I've just bought this monitor and was just worried on that the stand of the monitor was looking down. Then I just saw your this video youre showing that we can bend the neck of the stand. Thanks for helping me, directly or indirectly :)
THIS WORKS! I struggled initially by taking out individual parts of base, but nothing worked. Tried this (after saying a few prayers) and it freaking works! Thank you buddy!
Perfect! We were trying everything so we could return the monitor. Watched other videos but only your method worked. Absolutely worse design ever. THANK YOU!!!
HEY WANTED TO THANK YOU GUYS FOR POSTING THIS, HELLA HELPED ME A LOT, WAS HAVING TROUBLE MOUNTING MY SAMSUNG PC MONITOR, THIS WAS AWSOME SIMPLE AND EASY TO FOLLOW SPECIFICALLY IF YOU GET THE RIGHT MOUNT
I just tried this with my C32F397FWE and it worked. Because the feet point out on the front on my model, you have to flip the screen over so the screen is pointing upwards and hit the feet. Thank you so much
Thanks for the video ! I bought this monitor for temporary working from oversea purpose as mine was broken at luggage. I want to bring this CF390 back home and your video help me to un-mount it .
Thank you so much for this! I was going crazy! I bought a monitor arm and really needed at least the bottom bit off. I didnt wanna open it up like all the other videos were saying as I was worried I'd break it haha. So thank you!
I have the CF396 monitor, with a tri-stand set up so it was a bit harder to punch (also I’m not that strong hahah). I used a hammer instead and just kept hitting the center piece until it loosened and eventually fully came out. This sucker is a pain!!! Thank you
I just held it around the neck with my hand. Then I hit my hand with my other hand. It popped right off. It's easier than hitting the side. Watching you do it showed the way. Thanks
Thank you, you just saved me so much time, other YT videos were dismantling the case and it looked like a waste of time and you end up damaging the casing, your way was brilliant mate Cheers
THANK YOU! I was going to mount my monitors and was perplexed on how to get this thing off there! You saved me! I was able to just pull mine off though.
Just spent the last 45 minutes trying not to break and punch this fucking monitor and your telling me......... I COULDVE PUNCHED IT THE WHOLE TIME 😂😂😂 LMAOOOOO THANK YOU FOR THE VID
Legend, also if the BOTTOM is broken, use a screwdriver to lodge inbetween on the detail then apply pressure and it should pop off. Mine was in bits already so this helped loads!
Thank you!!!! What a rubbish design. Real heroes have tartan bedsheets!! After struggling for God knows how long I didn't think I was going to get the stand off without damaging the monitor but this video saved the day :D
Thank you m8. I used this on a c32f and it worked. I tried removing the back panel before but I broke the fairing or whatever its called. I now have a tear on my front srceen rim whattyayig. But thats not ur fault. Hammering the stand worked and Im gonna leave the stub thing on. Im gonna check if the monitor still works now lol. Nice parrot, too. Edit: Yeah trying to open it broke the monitor. About 20% of it are unusable. Handle with care. : )
Since I bought this monitor i never knew that it could be adjusted up and down. Thank you bro. Who still has this monitor in 2024?
Same!
Same. I just bought a separate screen mount because I was angry with not being able to tilt it. Only to learn that it can, while trying to rip that thing off :-D either way, happy with the separate mount for different reasons
🤣🤣🤣
Yeah same! 😂🎉
Me and its form 2017
THANK you dude. I thought i may have to pull it but I'm like there's no way they'd design it to be yanked like this.
Scheisung
Exactly the same thought I had!
Oh, they've built way worse designs than that.
Thank you. My husband thinks I'm a hero because he has been struggling with this for an hour or so and I just watched this and had it done in 5mins. Legend mate. You are worth your weight in gold.
For those that might be skeptical about this procedure, let me share that it was the only one that worked for me. Thank you Toby Smith
Yeah it also worked for me but I almost broke my hand 💀
3 years later and this video is still valid. Thank you so much
4 now! LOL!
People like you make the world better, one video at a time. As far as I’m concerned you’ve justified your existence in just over a minute.
0:38 literally everyone who owns this monitor says this lmao idk what Samsung was thinking with this design
Now that I think about it, tbh when I was putting it together I was literally thinking to myself "wow that's really simple and easy assembly design". For me those 2 pieces are 1 singular piece, thankfully

A hero, even 4 years later. Thanks for posting this much needed knowledge! Just finished setting up the new computer arms. :)
OMGOODNESS, I was kinda skeptical but tried it anyway and this only took me 3 seconds to undo. I didn't want to remove the whole back side, no need. It was so simple. Thanks so much, Toby!!
excellent boss, i removed round edge and tried nearly 15 minutes, and finally your video helps to remove the stand within 5 seconds
At the very beginning of this video, from your body language, I thought you were actually going to pick it up by the bottom peice and slam it into the wall haha. My volume was muted for the first 15 seconds of the video. When I saw that this vid was legit though, I was relieved. You saved me at least 45 minutes.
Haha the thought had come to mind

Having wasted an hour myself, found this and worked a treat. Thanks mate 👍

The only way to remove it without using a wedge of sorts and injure the plastic. You do make the world a better place you Legend!

thank you man, i spent at least 2 hours trying to find out a good way to remove it, i would have never thought that it has to be done this way
Just bought this.monitor today from CEX it's to be wall mounted in my kitchen for fire stick. I have spent ages trying to find a way to remove the pivot bit, thanks to this you showed me I only need to remove the base connection. 👍
I spent an hour trying to do this, then found your video and popped it off on the first try. Thanks so damn much
Thank you! I was beyond aggravated for one whole day trying to figure out how to remove the bloody stand! Thanks again.
Bro your a fuckin legend, I been trying for 15 mins and went straight to RUclips! Your a god!!!!
Dear Smith, I've just bought this monitor and was just worried on that the stand of the monitor was looking down. Then I just saw your this video youre showing that we can bend the neck of the stand. Thanks for helping me, directly or indirectly :)

Thanks a lot bro, wrestled 2 hours before finding your video. For shame samsung!!
Video still saving lives 2 years later :) I needed to remove the whole back panel. Was simple enough
You're a legend!! Worked like a charm - was losing my mind sticking all sorts of knives in the lock slot - thanks a million.
Bro, you are a lifesaver. Also battled for over an hour then I saw your video! Done easy. Thanks
Spent 30 minutes struggling. Did this and came off first try. Lifesaver!

How many people have noticed that when Toby is smashing the stand off the monitor, there's a fearless bird perched on his shoulder! Cheers mate
4 years later and this video still works, I have the 27" T55 and this exact process still works, although now the stand isn't in 2 parts anymore
I’ve never felt so weak, it seriously took ALL of my strength to punch this thing off.
Thank you so much for this! I was going crazy! I bought a monitor arm and really needed at least the bottom bit off. I didnt wanna open it up like all the other videos were saying as I was worried I'd break it haha. So thank you!
I can't believe this is how you're supposed to remove it. It worked! I felt like an idiot for the past 20m
I have the CF396 monitor, with a tri-stand set up so it was a bit harder to punch (also I’m not that strong hahah). I used a hammer instead and just kept hitting the center piece until it loosened and eventually fully came out. This sucker is a pain!!! Thank you
My first thought was "this guy is insane"...and i try and it PERFECTLY WORK🤯 you drop this👑 special S/o to the ladycam🔥
Out of all the videos, yours was the most reliable. Thanks mate
Very rare that a RUclips tip video is so succinct & helpful!!!
Thank you again mate. Hate this design from samsung!
Okay so I’m glad I looked this up before trying 😂 . No hour wasted . Just from looking at it in like yeah this isn’t going to be a regular unmount .
I just held it around the neck with my hand. Then I hit my hand with my other hand. It popped right off. It's easier than hitting the side. Watching you do it showed the way.
Thanks
Explain that again pls
Thanks man, 2025 and this video is still legit and working.
Thanks, i've been struggling for 15 minutes before typing this search and destroy solutions. Thanks buddy for your vid.
Thank you very much, the only method that actually worked for model S22F350FHU
This is the smartest video teaching how to remove the stand.
Thank you, you just saved me so much time, other YT videos were dismantling the case and it looked like a waste of time and you end up damaging the casing, your way was brilliant mate Cheers
Thank you so much!! I would never have gotten that dang thing off without this. What a ridiculous design!
thanks for the tips. it take me almost two week to figure how to do unlock the stand. yes very stupid design. luckly i got this monitor for free.
Thanks for your video, Toby! Until I saw you do it, I couldn’t remove the stand from my Samsung monitor.
OMG Thank you so much for this video. I need to pack the screen away and I was loosing my mind thinking I'm going to break it.
Thank you mate best video I’ve seen on how to get it off took me a few attempts but thanks
You saved many monitors lives today. Sleep well tonight hero, with that knowledge.
You are still a hero, Toby. You helped me today!

I was about to buy two new monitors... what a crappy design. thank you!
Way better than people removing the whole back of the monitor. Love it! :P
SO HELPFUL! I’ve even trying to remove this damn thing for a few weeks now
😂😂
😂😂
Short and effective!
Thank you.. I was so afraid of breaking it!
Here I'm 2 hours to figure out how to remove the stand
Thanks mate
Legend, also if the BOTTOM is broken, use a screwdriver to lodge inbetween on the detail then apply pressure and it should pop off. Mine was in bits already so this helped loads!
This Is one of the reasons RUclips has a meaning: to help others when we don't know how to do it 🎉
Thanks for sharing 😊
Thanks man! You are legend! I was trying so hard, confused until I found this video. 😂
You are a life saver!!
Confirm it worked on my T27D390EW model.

Thank you. I can't BELIEVE I have to open my monitor just to remove the stand.
You saved me one hour. Thanks you!
Mate I’ve been sweating out trying to get mine off, keep thinking I’m going to break it, I didn’t even know it tilted like that either 😂😂😂
Broo same 😂😂
🤣😂🤣😂 same here
Excellent! Thank you for this. It worked on my 2 yr old 27” flat monitor.
Three years later dude is still a hero
Thanks for that, once I’d seen your method, I used a flat bladed screwdriver in the small gap between the two pieces to pop it off.
THANK YOU!!! I needed to remove in a way that does not void the warranty so I can return the monitor and you showed it!
This is the easiest tutorial here on youtube. Thank youuuuu so much! 😊
Thank you m8. I used this on a c32f and it worked. I tried removing the back panel before but I broke the fairing or whatever its called. I now have a tear on my front srceen rim whattyayig. Nice parrot, too.
Edit: Yeah trying to open it broke the monitor. About 20% of it are unusable. Handle with care. : )

You are a friggen legend! Best video on the internet. Samsung manuals suck
Saved my life trying to get this into my suitcase and it was not working, what a terrible fucking design BTW hahahahaha
It also works for Samsung curved monitor 22f39gfuu. Thank you so much!
