O day, full of grace, which we behold
Now gently to view ascending,
Thou over the earth thy reign unfold,
Good cheer to all mortals lending,
That children of light in every clime
May prove that night is ending.
How blest was that gracious midnight hour
When God in our flesh was given;
Then flushed the dawn with light and power
That spread o’er the darkened heaven;
Then rose o’er the world that sun divine
Which gloom from our hearts hath driven.
Yea, were every tree endowed with speech,
And every leaflet singing,
They never with praise his worth could reach,
Though earth with their praise be ringing.
Who fully could praise the light of life
Who light to our souls is bringing?

Very nicely done! Sounded more dynamic and bold (especially the men) - like the old P.J. Christiansen days I knew and loved! Can't wait to hear them on tour in California Mar. 1, 2022. Sorry to say I was never a Clausen fan - nothing personal. He had tough shoes to fill.

Hey David! I couldn't help but notice you referred to the Tenors and Basses of the choir as "the men." I figured I should let you know there's a girl in the tenor section this year. She just so happens to be me. However, I appreciate the compliment greatly, and look forward to seeing you soon.
