My granddaughter laughs at me because she knows you never go to a craft store without using their weekly coupon. Im the tag along with her and her mom where i insist to pay for one item with the store coupon. Her mom uses one too. She always says, always have your coupon, never pay full price.
Just an FYI for little ones clothing: shop at the end of the season for the following season! I live in MN. I get new coats, boots, snow pants, etc at the end of the season for the following season. I literally get winter coats for $7-11 that are normally $40-70.

The information you share is so helpful in dealing with the current economy. I am not from family wealth. My husband and I got where we are with a lot of hard work. Cleaned other people's toilets so my daughter could attend dance classes. You do what you have too.

My hubby is a handyman. He does lots of these little household projects, mostly for elderly people or widows. He will even replace the batteries in their smoke detectors for them, as some ceilings are just too high for them to reach, without😅 a ladder.

Next month we're going to buy new RWF car seat for our older child and it costs a fortune (400-600 $😬) so I guess we will have a very frugal month to stay in our budget 😅
I saved $15 at Dollar General by insisting they honor the $2 off discount for large Tide jugs and also apply the $10 off for over $40 Purchase of P&G products. It was not ringing up right so the manager had to fix it.
They had a big clearance at the DG were we live my daughter got at least $300. Dollars worth of stuff for around $100.00

My birthday is also in April (20th) I was able to get $2 in extra bucks at cvs and $3 off of any purchase at the dollar general, I shop a dollar general every Saturday with digital coupons anyway so that really helped bring my price way down…
Another loss leader is lettuce and spinach at Costco. Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, and cheese are also on my list. Watch their clothing too. They clearance them out at really good prices. Especially kids clothing. At ours, Thursdays are the mark down days for clothes. Ask an employee next time you are there! Even if indent need much, I will quickly walk the aisles and watch the tags for the * by the price. These are items that are alot of times marked down and leaving costco.

At Costco, my go to buys are rotisserie chicken, eggs, paper towels, tissue, toilet paper, crab (when I crave), salt, pepper, chicken broth, tuna, sardines, daily vitamins, and contact lenses!
The garbage disposal part made me laugh. I have hardwood floors in my kitchen that I put in myself when I contracted my home. There's a hydronic heat system attached to the underside of the subfloor, so typical nail gun w/2" nails would've destroyed an expensive radiant system. It occurred to me that a dishwasher would eventually leak, mess up the floor and given I cook and clean for one plus a big dog, I decided to uninstall my dishwasher. Watched 4 different RUclips videos, set to work, and when I was done, taped off the circuitry for the dishwasher, wrestled the beast out onto the front porch and Habitat for Humanity came & picked it up. Win win.
I just really got off my game. I have to have colonoscopy with clear liquids prior. I spent a small fortune on ready made jello, low sugar drinks, etc. Then I realized I can make my own jello cheap, make my own chicken broth for very little. Oh well Miss Hillary, I hang onto my receipts for dear life, and use the fire out of them for gas point rewards, Fetch, Receipt Hog, and Ibotta. I save them for another week just in case I find another use. 😮

I recently learned about getting credit for old car seats. I wish I had known about it sooner. I threw 1 in the trash. I have 2 old seats waiting for the next time.
For my birthday every year. My local grocery stores that i shop at, gave me a free half gal of ice cream. You have to have their loyalty cards. I also get a bouquet of flowers for my anniversary of signing up for the loyalty cards.
9:12 I worked for Target in 2022, and there was an option at the register for cashiers to mark down prices under certain circumstances, including online price matches.
Where im from we get lots of snow. Our car insurance gives us a discount if we switch to winter tires. While it is a lot of money upfront i highly recommend putting both sets on rims. It takes less time/less money to have them switched out. Tires can get damaged when they are taken on and off rims. This also can make your tires last longer.
I’d bought my sons wardrobe online from vinted. As soon as he turned 7 he’s grown like a weed😂 I’ve had to resell all the age 7 as nothing fits and rebuy age 8! He was tiny for ages but is making up for it now x

Not all prices are cheaper on line, I was looking to order some cupcake boxes on line but only needed 2 and they were 8.52 but the shipping was more than the price, so I didn't get them. A few days later I found myself close to the store and I thought, hey get those boxes while you're close. They were 1.99 in store. Less than 5 bucks with tax.
I got a free small popcorn at the movie theater for my birthday. You can get the popcorn and not see a movie.

Sephora gives out birthday gifts for the month of your birthday... Just sign up 6 months before your birth month is and then you go during the month of your birth month to pick up your birthday gift
Most places don't need the receipt if you paid with a card. They scan the card and can look up the receipt that way. It helps if you know the date of purchase so it's easier to find.
Costco tip! End caps. Only shop end caps unless you have a list. I seriously have certain items that will last over a year by checking end caps!

My target wouldn’t price match because it was a coupon and not the price. It really depends on the cashiers. We have an issue because we have more then one target but the prices are different but they have a location thing and when you go to a store after checking at home, the prices are different. Love buy nothing too!

Prices are cheaper now online because they’re trying to find a way to cut brick & mortar shopping.
The more stores they can close, the fewer employees. All wins for them, loose for us who want to try on before we buy.

For Target price matching you need the app set to the store ypu are shopping in...I'm a cashier and will scan with my phone to double check the price...and always scan the books especially kids books because most of the time they are cheaper online...and this varies by state but in California where I live if the gift card is less than $10.00 you can cash it out at the register for cash...I suggest reading Targets price matching policy and educating your cashier if they are unaware or just being lazy and not wanting to do it...and in California you get a .5 cent credit per bag when you bring your own bags...check what your state laws are each state is different and when you have the app you get 5% off your entire purchase in your birthday month...the app asks for your birthday so every February I get an additional 5% off 1 purchase

At Costco I always take the kids around for the samples and saves an afternoon snack time. Plus it’s fun to see which ones they prefer and which ones never make the cut. Also, books are usually 30% cheaper, it’s wonderful when you need a new book. Although I usually buy second hand books for a euro.
Re Costco. Don't buy the lemonade or you may become addicted to it (like me). The Kirkland TP is not worth the small price savings. Charmin with the blue label (Not the red label) is the best and goes on sale regularly saving you about $6.50 per carton.
I have the Taco Cabana app & last year I got 2 free tacos for my birthday. 😀
Costco’s store products are often on Consumer Reports’ list as best deals, such as laundry detergent. My dogs love their grain free salmon dog food.

I have noticed when buying things from others (clothes, tools etc) most are asking retail value for USED items🤣🤦🏼♂️ I will not pay you full price for a used item or $35 for a pair of Lee jeans like the person is a clothing store and the item is fresh press new!!

If you are still using Fetch & you scanned your receipt for the medicine, you can find it there. Every receipt in fact. I love this tip as I was going to discontinue Fetch, but this made me keep it. Love yr videos, I have been keeping track of my monthly savings now.

I have a pair of size 7m tap shoes for girls. They are black, my granddaughter needed tan. If you have a use for them? Do you have a p.o. box? I really want them to go to a good home. They have not been used, the store has a weird return policy. Edit: Hilary doesn't have a use for them. Let me know if anyone here would like them

I hope your new Costco is close enough and has a gas station! That's worth my membership alone. They take returns, no questions asked so if you buy something and your kids don't like the taste, return it, even without the receipt because they can look up your purchase. Look for unadvertised sales on meat. I recently called P&G because I recently tried Tide Pods and ruined a favorite shirt. They sent me a $50 debit card and gave me tips to try to salvage my shirt which worked! I guess I should have read the directions that the pod goes in the washer first. I only bought them (on sale) because I need fragrance free but my liquid detergent wasn't getting the dog smell out of my top sheets I put over my comforter to save it from all the hair.

Im glad you got a $50 gift card but please dont use Tide products they 're proven to cause cancer! Riverside Holmstead goes into great detail proven this.. even kids toothpaste has Cancer causing chemicals and ever diapers .. scary world place living in USA when money means more then the people do. I now make my own laundry detergent along with many other things.
13:55 I do taxes for myself and my fiancé, using reputable free tax websites like FreeTax USA. The standard price of going to a tax preparer is $100/hr, so I save my household at least $100 by doing so.
When my sister died and we cleaned out her stuff, she had an entire closet of gift bags she had accumulated.

I've been baking sugar free goodies for several years and finally got the guts to go sell at the farmers market this year. Bought a canopy then my SIL gave me one. $104 back into my pocket.
She also gave me a thermal printer! Labels for those are half the cost of what I've been using

Among friends and family gift bags are circulated, bought cheaply (discounted or thrifted, and otherwise reusable (Japanese gifting cloths, decorated boxes, creative trims). Too easy.

I get all kinds of birthday offers, but they send to my email because I am registered with their rewards or subscribed to emails. I never even use them all, because there are too many
My experience, also. Hidden perk of keeping current with bills owed.
No longer use paper gift bags, they made re-usable grocery bags that use at Xmas time. Put gifts in it, tissue paper... write their name on bag with gold marker. The bag itself is a gift. I dumped my Costco membership after 5 yrs of having it back. IMO The fresh fruits and veggies are not a great deal anymore, the gas if paying by Debt card requires a pre-approval of $150.00 (give or take) in your account otherwise cannot pump gas, it happened to me... Side offers like discounts for Costco customers are to skim off the top 1% of shoppers who have 800 + credit rating, otherwise you're not approved or cannot participate. also happened to me with CC offers and vacation discounts. The snack bar polish sausage is so tasty but also so unhealthy, snack bar pizza is very greasy. The best frugal tip I would give someone is to have multiple savings accounts for things like car repair, vet bill and stash away the cash, set a goal for the account, when met pull out the $ in cash. Needed to take pet to the vet did not have time to stop at the bank, stand in line to get $1,000 out, same thing when we just purchased a used Honda Odyssey off Craig's List. Hondas sell within 1-2 days of putting them up, had to leave work early and bring the cash.
