What i’ve always loved about the Haka tradition is the fact everyone’s included. You don’t have to be Maori to perform with the Maoris. An inclusive and beautiful culture, who are just happy to be appreciated. Much love to them.
The same for the French Cheese. You don't have to be French to eat French Cheese. Also inclusive

As a French born, the New Zealand All Blacks get all my respect. Gotta love the Haka.
I think what I love most about the Haka is the fact that you see men, women, children, young, old, etc of every colour from pale white to dark black do it and it makes them all seem like one cohesive unit. It's the ultimate expression of national pride regardless of individual characteristics delivered in an overwhelmingly powerful way.
Imagine being some Christian European in the 1640’s, you just found this new island, and the locals come out and do this.

Greatest Haka ever! Both teams were super impressive. Even though New Zealanders were heavy-on favorites, they won 8-7, the slimmest margin by which any Rugby World Cup final has been decided. Kudos to the French team for accepting the challenge. Rugby is the toughest, most physical, and manly game in existence.
Toughest is subjective. Many games are mentally tough and physically tough. Definitely the manliest sport to ever cross the human mind though.
@@cody7068 I agree! I’ve seen some of the most excruciating tennis and soccer games that would not hold second place in mental and physical toughness to a rugby game. I stand corrected.
Even test match batting in testing conditions against quality pace bowlers bowling at over 150 Kph is pretty challenging.
That goes to fighting whether it's MMA, boxing, kickboxing, etc. It's pure primal violence. Rugby is by far the toughest ball sport.
Not even into rugby, but I would totally attend one of these events soley to experience the Haka in person, it's that level of awesomeness.

I love how respected this tradition is.
I love it too. At some point, it will be seen as cultural appropriation, though.
Not really...they wiped out the maori
@@mrwolf8164 So, they shouldn't do the dance? I knew at some point the racism/cultural appropriation thing would come in. Not bad.
@@LamiNalchor i dont see this dance as a way of paying respect to the maori...it seems more like making fun of maori traditions...because if they would have respected their traditions why did they then wiped out the natives
@@mrwolf8164 I understand that, and I agree it's abhorrent that that happened. The only reason I say it's respected is because it at least creates a space for Maori leaders to reclaim their traditions. Assuming (from skin colour alone) that several of these players are Maori, then it's a place for them to express. But I also agree there's a fine line between honour and appropriation. I think it's also impressive to an extent that even though a genocide happened, the country has found humility(?) Enough to allow a minority group to have reign of such a white dominated sport.
I'm not even Kiwi but I feel patriotic asf when I see this
@@RobespierreThePoof but isn't it more respectful to let them honor their traditions and let them have the attention?
