I really appreciate the effort that went in to this. Generative AI for video is in an uncomfortable spot right now. No longer impressive simply for working at all, but clearly "not ready for prime time" yet. Starbound is pushing the edge, and that is how progress is made. Keep up the good work!
I find the West's fear of AI and even robots quite weird. Artists on RUclips are among the most obnoxious ones when it comes to anti-AI sentiments. In the mean time my country is going all out to grab a piece of that AI pie after missing out of the Western factories(thanks to our last leader's crippling fear of globalization) that turned China into an industrial powerhouse over night. Our civil servants even got a crash course with AI awareness early this year and now everyone's sharing the Top 10 AI apps lists to use in their work. I remember when I first started working far away from home in 2001 wishing for someone to make robots that I could buy and keep my mother company while she was all alone working in the rice fields. Fast forward to 2024 and parts of the West are of AI and robots. It's funny because real life mirrors what popular media have presented such ideas: In anime Asians embrace AI and robots while Hollywood showed how the West would fall into existential crisis and mistrust them.

Considering that you don't have a huge budget and this is a first effort, it exceeded my expectations. My husband was laughing so hard about the 'man' going into the kitchen for a beer. He said that was his brother 100%. When I used to write he was my editor and focused on character dialog for a writers' circle. He said its like Metropolis. I used to have the biggest fights over how characters would speak with Ben lol. I really appreciate the truly grand effort that the authors etc put in on these videos. And, yeah, Metropolis.
Loved having more than 1 voice actor in a story. The animation, was good, but not the best. I think what really made this story stand out is the background noises, felt really immersive.
A great technological demo. We're not quite there yet but it was great hearing you all work together. If the animations aren't too much work then keep at it. Regardless I'd love to hear you all together more.
the AI hallucinations are hilarious! the prompts need tweeking and all but its still better than the recent MCU crap. Very entertaining! i'm hopeful for the future! :)
I have been very critical of some stories on this channel in the past, but THIS is what I have been hoping for from you guys!!! Every voice has a place in a story & this is how it should be done! Thank you for setting the bar to a standard that represents Humanity.... FUCK YEAH!!! 🤙🏽
Please do more collaborations like this. This gives the stories a ton more life. The A.I. videos are cool, you guys did good with the limitations of current tech, but far less important/enjoyable when compared to the collaborative work.
Great story, and great effort! For a low budget, first try, it's both impressive and, more importantly, entertaining and enjoyable. With the channel growing and experience accumulating, it can only get better. I'm already enjoying it, and look forward to seeing more!

I am not supporter of AI content but I can see how much you work on this and can't/wont hate on that. The story was cool a nice space battle, with a twist at the end that made me chuckle xD
Great movie for a 1st try! 👍Want to see where this story is going. Sad ending, but understandable when you consider what those people were about to do to a world full of helpless innocents, planning to celebrate the destruction of that world.
I didn't watch the AI animation. I kept it on just audio and imagined if this had been hand drawn animation. Very cool putting the voice actors in one skit.

Oh man, that was so cool. Usually, these stories are good, and after sifting through channels of AI TTS, knowing there's actual people behind it is refreshing enough, but the absolute labour that went into this? Amazing. The sounds were incredible, well timed, the lines delivered so beautifully by the cast members. And that twist at the end? Damn. Well played, Starbound. Well played.
Thank you!!! I love these SciFi stories, but the AI often brutalizes the script, the names, and the pace. Your presentation is crisp, good graphics, animation was so helpful. Different voices really brought the characters to life. I can see why this took months to complete: 33 minutes of solid graphics. Bravo to the coordinator, modeling was outstanding, and I couldn’t tell if there was rotoscoping, but the instrument displays were great, and not too bright or distracting. If you continue to produce more of these Luxe Stories, the system will eventually streamline. Congratulations.
Okay just finished. Great fun story. The opening massacre bit was gripping, the chit chat getting intense the philosophical followed by death all around. Done care what people have to say about animation, its a damn good story. The end was like the end of Sopranos.
I loved the Collab. But if a dark ending with that family scene, though nice touch with the nuke joke to break the moment. You guys need to do more of these collabs.
