@@PwningGerZ I don't think @hahahaha2000 understands how external recording works to a SSD with a recorder. They fail to understand that the 16 bit Linear is converted to the file format they use in an editor, they think they're pulling RAW unencoded data and that its 16 bit. There's no point trying to explain that to a novice, it'd take multiple videos ontop of the fact that youtube only shows you 8bit colors after conversion so its just the select few choice colors showing in this video which again, OP fails to understand making this not 16 or even 12 bit but an 8 bit sample file with no original file to download. Its like Mac users (from newest models to oldest) who think their monitors are 10 bit, its actually an 8 bit screens with some software magic to fake 10bit, all they have going is very good color corrected panels lol
The output is 16-bit in Linear gamma, but when converted to Log, it's effectively 12-bit. Basically 16-bit is marketing-speak on Sony's part; they know it's not going to be 16-bit in log.

Question from a person who owns an fx30 and is willing to buy a ninja v, does it crop in the sensor while recording prores raw? Or does it do a full read out of the sensor?
FX30 had HDMI 2.0 port so it will not had 4k 120 Never .. because the port it self had a limitation of 4k 60p the only camera that have 4k 120 in prores raw is the GH6 because it has HDMI 2.1 port
Damn i love that this video has no music. I only hear the noise of my laptop fan and it's almost like i hear wind. Nice footage
It isn't 16 bit. The recorder records 12 bit log raw.
16 bit exterior ssd
@@hahahaha2000 16bit compressed to 12bit prores raw.
@@PwningGerZ nope, read what I said, 16bit with exterior ssd
@@hahahaha2000 nope, even atomos said with combo fx30/V-V+, 16bit will be compressed and recorded to 12bit prores raw.

what lenses r u using?
Image Quality is amazing
That looks good. Pre Res 12 bit Raw records at 12 bit. How does Sony get 16 Bit Raw, onto which device? Isn't the limit 12 bit raw at the moment?
over hdmi out its 16 bit
Apparently there's a new limit aye?
@@fredhaadangi3848 let me know how to record in 16 bit. All I’m getting is 12 bit ProRes
Yes, sony output 16 bit, and Atomos encode this in 12 bit prores Raw, so 12 bit ...

Can you explain how you do 16 bit on fx30 please
Looks gorgeous! A little bit of dirt on the sensor bottom middle tho!
can u tell me your converter name to stick your BIOMETAR 80MM 2.8 on the fx30 ?
thanks
how do you know this is a Zeiss Biometar 80 mm 2.8 lens ?
@@pedrodelaloca4176 i think i knew it because it was in one of his previous videos
@@RobSemillia Thank you, you are right, I didn’t notice. I have already ordered this old zeiss lens and I will test via my Atomos V+ recorder.

amazing 👏👏🧡
Recorded to Atomos Shogun or equivalent?
Amazing images btw. Loved this.
lut?
sucks that raw on the fx30 crops to micro 4/3 sensor size. theres always a few sneaky drawbacks

Hi! Can FX30 output 4k120 or only 4k60 in RAW? Atomos Ninja V+ can grab 4k120 or even 8k but also camera has to be able to output this fps.
