your commitment to learning korean is incredible!! very very diligent! :)
Haha thank you!! I am trying to be ^^
Congrats Kim , always passionate as usual ❤️
Thank you for your review. I‘m learning at the Sejong Institute in Berlin as well. I really like the books. There are more information than in the Sogang books. In the VHS in Berlin were I’ve learned before they use Sogang. But I agree that there could be more in the grammar section. Good to mention that there are workbooks for each class for free.
I used the first of the Sogang book/workbook at the Koreanische Schule Berlin but I haven't been at VHS... Overall the New Yonsei ones are still the best though. I really like TTMIK but they are not meant for the classroom environment. Glad this video was useful ^^ and good luck with your studies! Which level are you doing?
@@kimincoree I'll look into the Yonsei books. My new class Sejong 3 started last week. I work through the chapters as well and learn the vocabs beforehand. It helps a lot.
I use TTMIK as well, I like the combine book and the new one "how to sound like a native speaker". A great resource is definitely Grammar in use, one of few resources available in German. 😉
@@LaLeLu12209 The old Yonsei books are not that hard to find but the New Yonsei ones I mentionned in the video are more tricky. I had to get mine imported from Korea via the Yonsei Bookstore.
I didn't have a look at the new TTMIK book about prononciation but I will as soon as a get the chance! Which combine book are you referring to?
Oh yes! I LOVE the Grammar in Use serie, I have all 3! They have the most detailed explanations out there. I didn't know they existed in German, but I speak English better than German anyway haha (I'm French).
Oh you're level 3 already! You must have studied for at least a year already! 잘 했어요~
@@kimincoree I mean the TTMIK Build & Extend your Korean Sentences. You start with 2 sentences and combine them to a longer sentence. Very helpful. I‘ve started my Korean learning journey in 2019.
@@LaLeLu12209 Ah, I see ^^
Would definitely love and also NEED more info and tips as a beginner learning Korean. Thanks!
I will have a lot more videos on learning Korean coming! I am only getting started hihi ;)
You make me want to study Korean 📚🇰🇷 … very cool!
you know you gotta learn chinese first girl! haha but then yeah you need a bit of korean for when you'll come visit me there ;)
I'm so impressed by your Korean skills! And the bloopers 🤣
thank you!!
Love it! Percy wanted a cameo ❤️🐕

I downloaded the app and it helps alot ...thanks
I'm glad you find it useful! 한국어 공부 화이팅하세요~~
I'm at level 7 and I can't wait to "graduate", haha! Tbh, I am not super impressed with their books and have struggled to keep up....I don't find the books very pedagogical (I am a teacher myself) and there is too much (not always useful) vocabulary for my taste. Depending on my teachers, I've enjoyed the classes (or not) :) !
Oh wow not long to go! 화이팅하세요~ yes this is exactly my sentiment. The books aren’t great but the classes can be good if the teacher is, and it is good to have the institute being available in so many countries (may I ask which country are you from?) and being so cheap so one cannot really complain even though it could easily be improved.
Thank you ❣️
In Russia study is free
@@eliz_sk Oh really? this is great!! :)
When is the best time to learn hanja as a beginner? I feel how you explained it it stood out for me and the words make sense thank you for that...... loving your content another fan from Nairobi, Kenya..... Learning korean and french❤❤❤
Yaay thanks! I'm glad to hear that you find my content useful! I will work harder to produce useful videos for you guys ❤ As for Hanja, I think hanja can be quickly overwhelming if you start as a beginner, where there is alreadu so much information but very useful from low intermediate! Now some people learn just the hangeul and it's hanja's meaning and use, other (like me) also learn the actual chinese character which makes it a lot harder but I think on the long term better because it would also be transferable to other similar langages (like japanese) and I think it's also cool to know things in details haha but maybe that's just my perfectionism speaking hehe. I am currently studying hanja and once i'll try different methods and books i'll start making video reviews about those too, so stay tuned to find out! :)
🌟🌟🌟
Thank you for the video! I'm currently on the beginners course and worried about the exam! How long was the exam overall and how exactly are you tested? Is it both speaking and writing?
The exam is different depending on which institution you pass it in. For me we had to pass all four types (listening writing speaking and reading) but the teacher explained it all weeks before so maybe ask your teacher? Also don’t worry to much and make sure to memorise all the vocabulary and grammar you study in class regularly so you don’t have to stress and cram at the end of the term and all should be fine! ;) 화이팅~ good luck!
@@kimincoree thank you!

I'm from Argentina :3
Hola Victoria~ :3
It is cheap? In my country it is for free :D I am in lvl 7
It is cheap compared to other Korean courses here in Germany but in France, like in your country, it is also free ^^ Wow level 7! You're almost done with it all!! Congrats
I am from Bangladesh
oohe 👋😊
Bonjour!
Bonjour 😀
How does the exam at the end of the course work and is it hard to pass ?
It’s depends of each institute. Are you going to the one in Berlin?
No I‘m currently going to the one in Tübingen. I‘ve heard there‘s also a speaking exam. Is That true ?
@@Tamara-oy8bu In Berlin there is a speaking exam yes! It was the most stressful part of the exams for me because I was never a confident speaking in any language, but you can rest assured that the teacher would only ask you something that have been learnt in class.
Is the online course different from in class?
I haven’t done the online course so I am not sure - but given that their apps follows the same content ish, I reckon it would be fairly similar… are you looking to start Korean using the Sejong institute online platform? Or do you already have experience with learning Korean?
@kimincoree I have experience in Japanese and already and can comfortably use it with Japanese people, but I also meet many Koreans who have learned or know Japanese, and since where I live has many Korean, I thought I will learn Korean as well.
@@narsplace that’s lovely! Then you’ll also have loads of people to practice with 😊 plus as you already know Japanese it will help with Korean as there are some similarities 👍
Is it possible, after studying the Korean language at the institute, to find a job in a small company? ❤
Do you mean a job at a Korean company where you would have to work in Korean after studying at the Sejong institute?
@@kimincoree yes
@@prettyrose3713 I mean it really depends... Studying at the sejong institute will definitely help you Korean but it also might not be enough to start working full time at a korean company in korean for which you would need to be super fluent. But it's a good start! What type of job would you like to do in korea?
@@kimincoree I would like to work in one of these three: a cosmetic products company, a translator, or a language teacher. These professions I love and I would like to work in one of them.
@@prettyrose3713 I see. Well if you come from an english speaking country (UK, US, Canada, Australia...) you can quite easily go to Korea and be an English teacher. For the other two, you'd need to have a pretty high level of Korean if you need to be able to speak on a daily basis. If you are high intermediate to high, it would be possible to be a webtoon translator from Korean to your native language depending the company's requirements.
