I like and appreciate you comparing the rubber to several other similar feeling rubbers. It makes it easier for us make an educated decision whether to buy it or not. Hope to see more of that in future reviews.
I love this rubber on my backhand. I got this 2 days after it was officially released to replace the Sriver G3 on the backhand and that was a great decision. This rubber did exactly what I wanted. Banana flips are insane with this, active blocking is deadly with precise placement and picking up that backspin with a backhand loop is done with ease.
Karim Vite Thanks for the review. I'm curious what you use for the forehand? Tenergy 05? I was thinking of going with Rozena for both before jumping to 05.
I use the Sriver Generation 3 on my forehand. Sorry, I know Tenergy 05 and Tenergy 64 have become the benchmark for comparison but I have actually stayed away from Tenergy and not sure how to match the Rozena with Tenergy. I am a backhand dominant two winged looper who sometimes falls into the trap of playing an off- style. I figure, I need to correct that issue first before I slap on a Tenergy 05 on my forehand. I am not sure if you are familar with the Sriver Generation 3 but essentially, its a rubber with a high tension top sheet similar to the Rozena and Tenergy but it however has a classic sponge with a density of 38 degrees. This hardness is the reason why I have kept it on my forehand instead of the Rozena. The G3 has a high trajectory and combined with the harder but energy absorbing sponge, it allows you easily generate slow but extremely spiny loops. You can generate speedy loops with G3 by applying more force which I tend to do because my swing is usually hard with extreme acceleration for the spin. According to butterfly, the G3 has the same speed as Tenergy 64 and short on its spin comparison by just a little, but I think that is not so true. I think it really depends on the stroke. Technically, the Rozena is supposed to be slower than the G3 but as expected, the spring sponge really comes into action on passive and lighter strokes which is what I wanted for my backhand. With the G3 on my backhand, I often found myself having to swing to hard to generate some more speed and that's never good for a backhand stroke since backhand always tends to be more unstable to forehand because of the wrist action and this is where the Rozena came in.
All french advanced TT schools are provided/suggested the Rozena for their improving players. Since the change of distribution model for Butterfly France we moved to Gewo Neoflexx 45° which is maybe a tad slower but similar to Rozena and less expensive.
thanks for the opinion. Surprised to hear that. My daughter is 12 playing with Nittaky Fastarg G, the distributor doesn't have them in stock and I was looking for the alternative, Is Rozena any close in your opinion?
Seems like you really made it, Dan and Tom. Found this video on the Butterfly homepage next to their advertisement/product video. Stay true to yourself and your viewers and you will be happy in life!
I thoroughly enjoyed the review ...there were some nice comparisons there but I want to know whether or not this rubber brings out the "inner fire" of a player through its all-round offsets and less sensitivity to spin? great review a pleasure to watch as always
Even softer? Meh... Well, I didn't expect anything else when I saw the price. I am wondering why there is still no company that was able to produce a better rubber than Tenergy. Maybe Butterfly will wait until there's a better rubber from a different brand and then bring out an even better rubber series than Tenergy. The Evolution MX-P is ok, but it's not as durable as the Tenergy rubbers and the top sheet isn't as tacky. I could definitely play with these rubbers though. They are really close to the performance of the Tenergy.
GUYS, I HAVE A LITTLE REQUEST! I like your reviews very well. But could you guys make a review of Palio AK47 rubbers? With red sponge, in particular. Lemme explain. Since I live in a country like Ukraine, which doesn't have such stable economics, I can't let myself buy something like Tenergy. I don't even need it, I'm an amateur player. =) So I look for something similar. Most people say that this is a good chinese analogue of European tensors. Although, there's still not much information and video reviews. There's some poor reviews in Russian, but they're not so informative. I think a lot of English-speaking people would like to see a review of that rubber too. B.w., Vladislav.
Hey, I played with Palio AK47 before. And I live in Malaysia. "doesnt have such stable economics" is also normal here. Palio AK47 is a nice cheap rubber and a nice rubber to use. But you cannot expect it to be the same as Tenergy or somehow like that. But for its price, its really worth it. ( My experience ).
Hi table tennis daily. I know it isn't exactly your thing to do on your channel but do you think you guys can possibly do a detailed tutorial on advanced serves or shots to help someone like myself add something to their armory to give themselves a bit of an advantage over their opponent in a competitive game?
It's butterfly so maybe it'll still sell well given the name but I can't help but think people will be disappointed with this. So we're spending less and getting a more calmed down, less fierce tenergy. One, i don't know if that'll exactly sell people. Then you take into account you can get any of the Evolution series for around the same price or cheaper and still get that speed & power (MXP) or other versions if you want softer sponge, I just don't see where you'd go Rozena. Surprised after all these years and with the new ball Butterfly hasn't released a new series better than Tenergy by now.

Els is nearer to rozena. In terms of power and speed, but rozena has that consistency and safety (still powerful and spinny) its really unique easy to play yet very power, don't knock it off until u try it. I just switched to Rozena for my forehand rubber. It produces ample topspin with a great sense of control.
May i know From which rubber u switched to rozena. The rubber is still durable?
Can you also do a review on Butterfly SK carbon blade?
I play with Rozena, black rubber 2,1 for my for hand and red rubber 2,1 for my back hand with Viscaria blade just amazing and exploded game 🇬🇧🏓🇭🇺!
Hi i also play the viscaria FL and Rozena on my forehand i tried the new Joola Rhyzen ICE but i think Rozena is top on the viscaria

IMO Rozena is a perfectly suitable rubber for any player from 2nd national league to lower leagues levels.
The price tag is still reasonable though.
What's bluefire tested? M1? M2? M3? Jp01? Jp02? Jp03? Big slam? Jp01 turbo? M1 turbo?
