    Tough digging for sure, better than digging mud! Hope it will hold water.

      I'm not so sure! I think I'd have rather had mud lol. Thanks

      @@KapperOutdoors2.0 True, the mud would be easier to dig, but harder to compact lol.

    This is where having your own small dozer would come in handy.
    Would have knocked that out in a couple hours.

    Good video Mr K 👍 didn't you have a ripper tooth for the excavator at one time 🤔 when doing the pond dam this is where Dozer blade extensions would pay dividends 💪💪👍

    On your equipment you need those bolts with holes for cotter pins which have a special nuts that resemble the top of a rook in a chess game that lock in. How’s that for technical talk! It’s never been my forte. Lol!

    What does the core trench do? I am sure you may have said in the past but I forgot. Love the pond projects!

    • @KapperOutdoors2.0
      @KapperOutdoors2.0  Месяц назад

      It helps to prevent water from seeping beneath the dam.

    Hard ground for sure. In north Arkansas, we have feet of clay it can be hard digging, but as a rule, it's not. Most ponds here have no core trench in my area. They push so much clay it seals it all. Sorry, digging is so difficult. Good luck hoping it holds water

    • @KapperOutdoors2.0
      @KapperOutdoors2.0  Месяц назад

      Yeah if it were moist it would be loads easier. Yeah if they push enough clay on the inner dam no need for a core trench. Best of luck, thank you

    Nice ! If it doesn’t hold maybe a liner ?

    • @KapperOutdoors2.0
      @KapperOutdoors2.0  Месяц назад

      I think it will hold but we'll see. It is too big for a liner to be honest. Fingers crossed!

    lets cross our fingers and hope it holds water

      I don't think it's going to hold water the ground is too rocky.

    • @MySliceOfHeavenoutdoors
      @MySliceOfHeavenoutdoors Месяц назад

      @seancasey2444 I have the same type of soil. There us clay under there somewhere. Some areas it's closer to the surface, sometimes it's deeper. But rocks are a problem.

      I feel like it will but we will see when the rains come!

      @KapperOutdoors2.0  Месяц назад

      We'll see when the rains come! On our last Ozarks farm they all held water with very similar ground and rocks. I think it will hold but we will find out! Thanks
