Low early season snowpack? No snow for 2 weeks in the Coast Range?! Instead of sitting around complaining, Ian and I took it upon ourselves to turn a lemon into some fine lemonade. A ski tour from Shovelnose creek to Mount Cayley and Pyroclastic Peak will take most parties the better part of a day. Instead of retracing our steps and donning our headlamps, our final leg back to the vehicle was fast, scenic and very rewarding.
