Nice work, should be a good upgrade! I just put the stator in mine because i had bought the bike in boxes with a new stator. If it ever dies on me i will most definitely do this conversion.

Can't wait to get my pulley and alternator to do mine. I just hope the 35amp alternator works for my conversion. As long as I can get close to 14v I'll be satisfied. Thanks for sharing and yes I can use that 12mm bolt if you do have it.

Sure you can have it plus the 27mm washers, I informed my wife I need the alternator info from the Amazon account which I have and its a 40 amp alternator on Amazon for $85 but n ow I think its $90 now, send me an IM message with your address and I will mail it to you, no charge and Thanks for watching.

Man you helped me through every detail. Best poor man conversion on the net. Took me 4days running back and forth for nuts and bolts for it. But it's done. Looking forward to riding the wing back to the D from where it stopped charging 170 miles away. And yes it was hot as hell. Love you man and wish we can meet and ride together. Next time I would paint your porch for free and bring the supplies

Thought I was done til I left to go back to Detroit and half way there the wing stopped on me had to get it towed back to find out I didn't connect the exciter wire to the alternator. now I'm getting 14.6 amps. I'm very happy now. Try to get you them pics.

By all means disconnect the wires coming from the stator or you will try everything with the alternator and the stator, I left the rectifier as it was to supply other areas with voltage.sorry for the tow you had to do but at least you didn't have a fire.

@@michaelmosley1385 I hope you didn't mind I mentioned you to another guy who is doing the alternator conversion Noah Tietsort from Custer SD and said you may give him some pointers on any problems or issues you faced doing your conversion.
