- Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin testified before the House Armed Services Committee Thursday about his hospitalization in January and why it took so long for the White House and the public to be notified. An internal review released by the Pentagon Monday found that nothing "demonstrated any indication of ill intent or an attempt to obfuscate," but processes could be improved.

He didn't do anything wrong. Republicans are claiming he could not be reached. He was reachable through out his medical ordeal except when he was under anesthesia. While he was under anesthesia he gave his authority to his Deputy. He was more available during his medical ordeal than these Republicans are under normal circumstances.

It seems that during his stay in the hospital and taking strong medications, his condition has completely deteriorated.The brain has completely dried up.
