The Japanese were practically begging to buy F22's from us, sucks that we didn't sell them some. They could have eaten the cost of restarting production and developing upgrades.
Falcon The Pickle Smuggler I was not suggesting we move manufacturing to Japan. I was suggesting that we allow them to buy F22s, because they desperately want them. They could cover the costs of re-starting domestic production and upgrading systems.
I find this guys video's hilarious how does he not have way more subs & views. I'm Irish do review on Ireland's air superiority fighter the Pilatus PC-9 LOL :)
Actually the main reason the F22 was canceled, and might be uncanceled is the F35. F35 was supposed to cost half a F22.... it didn't go according to plain, like at all.
When the F22 went out of production they had the flyaway cost down to $100 million per airframe. The current flyaway price that congress actually pays (as opposed to the Lockheed Martin propaganda) is $188 million. So much for a 'cheap' alternative.
Monster LMA The batch of F22s that was cancelled were quoted as $100 million each. And the figures I quoted are the price ACTUALLY being paid by the government per F35 flyaway in 2015. Of course the price will go up as much of the mission critical equipment has not been completed and is therefore not included in that price.
We need to overhaul the existing fleet of F-22's and if possible restart production. An F-22B model could be an opportunity to work out any kinks in the present design.
Cost!! If we ""America"' can build it, we will. Fuck the "cost". If it comes down to them or "us". We'll have 101 of them by Thursday!. Or, 1,001. My point is, Fuck the economy, Fuck the "budget"! If this "aircraft" can give "US" the upper hand. then trust me... WE WILL!!
F-22 was stopped flying for some period due to error in oxygen supply system( they had to limit the flight height limit), few pilots were killed, only after a few years they finally get to solve the problem. It is widely discussed and laughed about in Chinese forum. (sorry for bad english)
why can't they make a tune down version of F22 without the stealth coating for domestic and export? i am sure national guard, japan AF, aust AF would like a superior performance airframe without the cost of maintaining the stealthy skin to bring the running cost down but still out perform the Su flankers
I was at riat and the Americans on the speakers were hyping everyone up to see this bird fly, but then they told us it cant fly because the weather was a little cloudy, but I think it was properly broken because, it's American.
+O O AH AH Bannana > *_"and the Americans on the speakers were hyping everyone up to see this bird fly, but then they told us it cant fly because the weather was a little cloudy"_* That's the decision of the airport. Not the flyers.
It was tested in hurricane conditions bud and there isn't a new type or stealth coating, it's the angles at which radar waves hit the hull not the paint absorption
+Sasha Whitefur Yes I prefer the F-22 Raptor alot more than the F-35. I believe Lockheed Martin is going to continue Producing tons of more F-22s by 2017.
you know why pilots who flew it gave it a bad mark? cause they thought it should have been better for a machine that cost +100M, It actually flies as expected yet they suspended it's production cuz it's a fuck up for +100M a big one, I mean one would think that for +100M you can get a UFO alike capabilites plane not an F-16 in a pimped custom.
It is basically invisible, it has the radar signature of a bird so basically no aircraft can see it unless they visually acquire the target, that's when it doesn't fair as well as it should, but the f-22 can lock on and shoot down any fighter jet before that fighter comes into range of even seeing the jet, there is a story of an F-22 who flew beneath a Iranian F-4 loaded for bear to shoot down an American UAV, the pilot checked out his armaments without the other pilot even knowing, then pulled up next to him and told him to go home, people who criticize the f-22 are misinformed and don't understand that modern technology has completely destroyed dogfighting tactics, so really the f-22 doesn't need to be more maneuverable than an F-16, F-18
you do realize yf-23 was predicated on the fact that stealth would save it.. and has very limited maneuverability right? when US found out Russia's Radar would be able to see it.. they opted for raptor because the raptor was MUCH MORE MANEUVERABLE.... and they were right for making that choice...
Just build the (Y)F-23. Stealthier. worked better. faster. And cost less. According to test reviews the(Y)F-23 was better than the F-22 at nearly EVERYTHING. They still have the airframes and I'm reasonably sure they don't just burn the plans if the plane is not chosen. The [F-22] is what happens when politics determines our next best [weapon] instead of actually merit.
in ww2 a new plane could be built in less than a year ,this plane took more than ten years, give me a break and it costs more than a hundred billion to produce when Americans are eating peanut butter sandwiches all day,Really!!
really? cuz red flag alaska in 2012... only 4 raptors lost to rafale...raptor scored over 30 kills.. and when the raptor did lose it was when it started at disadvantage.. IE rafale behind it.... in redflag 2008.... when beyond visual range was allowed... raptor scored 220 kills 0 loses... again su-30mki, super hornet, f15c, rafale and ef2000 get your facts straight.
b00stedrust Do you have red flag links? The Rafale costs 120 million euros, the Raptor 400 million, Euros. Only 180 Raptor were built instead of 1200 and the production line is separate. The Rafale has the METEOR which is better than the AIM-120 of the Raptor. The raptor is designed as an air supplement airplane while the Rafle can successfully complete all missions
Raptor wins over in cruise speed, thrust per engine, service ceiling while the Rafale wins over in cost, take-off weight and range. On paper the Raptor is the clear winner but on the field it is the pilot and not the planes that decides the outcome.
I'm pretty sure speed is a very important aspect of a fighter's capability in a dogfight, having the power to escape and engage at will is quite a great advantage, if both planes ran out of missiles and would rely on cannons only the Rafale pilot will find himself (or her) very frustrated as he cannot catch up to the Raptor in a straight line chase.
These video's always make my day
The Japanese were practically begging to buy F22's from us, sucks that we didn't sell them some. They could have eaten the cost of restarting production and developing upgrades.
I wouldn't trust the Japanese with manufacturing, it cost them $127,000,000 to make a single F-2...
Falcon The Pickle Smuggler I was not suggesting we move manufacturing to Japan. I was suggesting that we allow them to buy F22s, because they desperately want them. They could cover the costs of re-starting domestic production and upgrading systems.
thats our best jet! we cant sell it to anyone!
flopez425 We need more of them, and japan is desperate to make a stand against China.
The RAAF was also (unofficially) quite interested as well.
I'm trying to be all serious watching these military aviation videos and you got me lmao.
I find this guys video's hilarious how does he not have way more subs & views.
I'm Irish do review on Ireland's air superiority fighter the Pilatus PC-9 LOL :)

Wait... a mexican robot... Bender from Futurama is mexican.....and a robot...
So that makes the F-22.... byte my shiny stealthy wings
Bender didn't work either.
Bender could be quite lazy at times.
No jet fighter for Bender uh.... fine! i will make my own 5th generatino fighter... with blackjack... and hookers...
sparrowJLT why not the Simpsons predicted president trump years ago why not a show about the future
Futurama confirmed
It’s a good thing I was wearing Depends. This was funny.
Make more F-15s and 16s with upgraded electronics and engines with more thrust.
Certainly. You'll just have to convince everyone else to keep their old radar and only upgrade the electronics and engines on their SAMs. Easy.
you should have atleast million subs, i laugh everytime..
They should absolutely get more of them!!
we're screwed.
how about buying cheap chinese f22 copies...? 😂
With android
+Angezerus lol Windows.
F22 powered by Lollipop -- man that is so gonna make a serious statement
They already made a copy.... almost exact... Shenyang J-31 stealth fighter. They even copied the F35! Wonder if they'll sell any
Bro! You are the best!😂😂😂😂😂
"Gay Mexican Robots" - lmbo!
LMAO this is the funniest vid I have seen this week.
Outsource to Mexico?!!! Tramp will love it!!! And, how about outsourcing it to the chinese?!!!
I don't Know how i got here. But man that was a good laugh.
Brilliant - good job!!!
We need to overhaul the existing fleet of F-22's and if possible restart production. An F-22B model could be an opportunity to work out any kinks in the present design.
Clyde Marshall At 356 million a piece not gonna happen
Working out the kinks includes figuring out cheaper production.
127 million.... moron.
How many millions go to all those social programs the government isn't even supposed to have a hand in Constitutionally speaking?
WE WILL!!
The only thing that could bring it down is the cost thats too much for me handle. Too funny
@RCSuperPowers do you have any source on the "outsourced to mexico" comment?
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHUU UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGHHHHHH. YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH SLAM.
Man that f.. voice is addictive XD
oprah is gonna sue! call your lawyer! lol
the US is 20 years ahead of the rest of the world in fighter design.
Dr Bendover true the ones from Russia and China are most likely a cheat copied design and copied designs are usually shit
Can you show me the article about Mexico?
The number of F-22s we have now are 195 built, 8 test aircraft, 187 operational. By the way they should continue production of the F-22.
F-22 raptor would still be in service until 2050
Who thumbed this down? This is hilarious
F-22 was stopped flying for some period due to error in oxygen supply system( they had to limit the flight height limit), few pilots were killed, only after a few years they finally get to solve the problem. It is widely discussed and laughed about in Chinese forum. (sorry for bad english)

That was...... informative.....
Do a video on the tornado please
G'day,
Spelling Alert, you left the "C" out of the title.
Surely, you meant to say "F-22 *CRAPTOR ?*
Truth in Labelling, y'know !
;-p
Ciao !
How so?
Lol!

That's the decision of the airport. Not the flyers.
What would a sixth generation fighter be like? Like,...hypersonic and...LASERBEAMS?!??!!?
You are talking about 7th generation here, 6th generation is going to come with a smoker and a kicker so far.
Yup, and that is the end of the line... since you can't evade lasers.
Would've been cheaper to just keep making them, as originally planned...
Britain was the first country to have stealth actually
And the stealth coating does not like the rain!
It was tested in hurricane conditions bud and there isn't a new type or stealth coating, it's the angles at which radar waves hit the hull not the paint absorption
Do a video on f23 and su 30 mki
udit sharma exactly!
Great post
Dump, the F-35, it is the only jet, that costs over US$1,000,000,000 ( One Billion)
no
+Sasha Whitefur Yes I prefer the F-22 Raptor alot more than the F-35. I believe Lockheed Martin is going to continue Producing tons of more F-22s by 2017.
Good.
I wonder when the U.S. government will get it's shit together
you know why pilots who flew it gave it a bad mark? cause they thought it should have been better for a machine that cost +100M, It actually flies as expected yet they suspended it's production cuz it's a fuck up for +100M a big one, I mean one would think that for +100M you can get a UFO alike capabilites plane not an F-16 in a pimped custom.
Who in their minds made the F-35
yeah would've been amazing if price had been waaaay lower to atleast 1,000,000
Didn't know the 22 was not completely stealth.
nothing is
good point
No aircraft is.
+Robert Tube you can't pick up birds on radar
[citation needed]
Expensive, will not reopen.Spend money on 6th generation fighter jet
PLS T-50 fun review
Put the YF-23 into production...problem solved
you do realize yf-23 was predicated on the fact that stealth would save it.. and has very limited maneuverability right? when US found out Russia's Radar would be able to see it.. they opted for raptor because the raptor was MUCH MORE MANEUVERABLE.... and they were right for making that choice...
A Donald tRUMP quote? Really? I hope that is the one and only time you quote him! 2:40 ... well unless it is about his tiny hands.
Yes
Can't they just use a 3D printer to make them?
I need to learn how to listen faster.
Just build the (Y)F-23. Stealthier. worked better. faster. And cost less. According to test reviews the(Y)F-23 was better than the F-22 at nearly EVERYTHING. They still have the airframes and I'm reasonably sure they don't just burn the plans if the plane is not chosen.

off boresight, not even completely integrated on f22 in 2018, they should have built more, but its too late, its too old, better to just move on.
Obama If You're Reading This Then Please Reopen The F-22 Raptor Production!
Hilarious!
in ww2 a new plane could be built in less than a year ,this plane took more than ten years, give me a break and it costs more than a hundred billion to produce when Americans are eating peanut butter sandwiches all day,Really!!
I wonder what Trump has to say about this.
devjock I hears he's starting it up again
rip
they can not do that someone stop them
Dassault Rafale is better than f22 in dogfight

hahahahaha you..
su 35 more superior
you lie.
