Took me forever to find a video explicitly saying that the tracker can’t go in the pop-up slot. Thank you.
A device that isn’t compatible with the signature feature of its intended product. Brilliant.
I was a little blown thrown off when I found out that it would not fit in the card slot. It’s not to terrible putting it in the added card slot on the back of the wallet but definitely should’ve been made a little bit smaller to fit in the actual card slot with the auto mechanism. Thanks for stopping by and checking out the vid!
Since you've had it for some time now, how do you charge it?...Does it have to be outdoors in direct sunlight or can you charge indoors wherever the sun is shining? Because I just got my wallet and tracker last week and it said low battery 2 days later
Central Florida represent!
Let’s GOOO! 💪🏻🙌🏻
How does it work though in terms of keeping track of the charge level of the tracker card? Since it's solar, it needs to be charged a certain way, so are there any notifications or alerts to advise that the charge is falling below a certain level so I know I need to put the card in the sun?
It does let me know when it needs to be charged. It’s not very often. I’ve charged it like once since I’ve owned it. It tells you right from the app.
Also...the NOT CLOSING THE APP THING...Am I understanding you correctly. The app has to be running 24/7? I would think that is a HUGE detractor because all GPS related apps are battery drainers. So to clarify and confirm...if the app is NOT turned on and i misplace the wallet/with tracker card and then i turn the app on... it will NOT provide any location info for the tracker card? It has to be LIVE TRACKING 24/7 in order to find it? Sorry just want to make sure i understand. That for me would be a deal breaker.
So I have an update on that. I dont know if they pushed through an update for the app or what happened, but you do not have to have the app open anymore. I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max and it will alert me on my phone if the card goes out of range. Even if the app is NOT open and running, I will still get the alert. It will show last known location on the app and once I’m back in range, it’ll show me the more precise location.
Well with everyone tracking us , I guess it might be time to do some tracking too 😅😅
You got that right. Everyone is always being tracked. Might as well take some control over which trackers are being used 😂
Does this tracker card work like an apple airtag or is it just a bluetooth tracker that can find it when it is in Bluetooth range? If I leave my wallet 5 miles from my house, will it lead me back to find it with the Ekster or does it only work within household wifi range?
From my testing, it looks like it only works within Bluetooth range. It does alert you when you go outside of range of the card. So if you do forget your wallet, you get a pop up that tells you that you have left it behind and it will lead you back to its last location.
@@FloridaBoyEDC then it really can't even compare to the air tag. The air tag hands down is better than all of them out there because there aren't any companies that sell one that you can track down with GPS when you are outside of the Bluetooth or Wi-Fi range. Garbage
I do like AirTags a lot. Wonky bad thing about AirTags is the shape and size. I can’t use an AirTag on the wallet I carry so it makes it useless to me. The tracker card does enough that I’ll know if I leave my wallet behind.
@@FloridaBoyEDC I have an Android S21 Ultra so I can't even use the air tags. I'm waiting for someone to come out with one that is equivalent for Android
I thought the Samsung Smart Tags were kind of the equivalent to the Air Tags. I have apple so I have no experience with them. Are they just Bluetooth as well?
Is there a battery life indicator on the app?
Yes there is! And the battery life on this guy is great. I’ve sat it out to charge once for about 30 minutes since I did this video and I carry it in my EDC bag everyday.
@Florida Boy EDC where is the battery level located...I just got mine today for Father's day and I cane figure it out . Thabk you
you mention nitpick a bunch of times and took forever to spit it out and you waisted so much time. coulda done this whole thing in 3 minutes bro
Stop being so OCD. Lol. There is no benefit to closing apps in modern day phones. In fact, Apple and Android both recommend that you keep them open in the background.
I know I know. I work with phones all day so it’s just something I’m used to. Closing apps after I’m done with them. It’s a habit and a bit of an OCD nowadays. Lol
@@FloridaBoyEDC baby steps. One app. Then two. Then all chaos.
