I need more of these episodes! I could watch these all day long. the prizes are wild. These eps are my new obsession. 😍 Please upload more if you can find them in the vault!
This is a definite treat for me after seeing Niel Nordlund's victory when he won the Barrel-themed TV, HIFI, and Record Holder, with a bonus of a trip to Italy, and a $11K diamond ring last time, but what's even exciting, his facial expressions. At first, he congratulated the contestant for winning, then when he heard his name, he made faces that made me laugh in joy. He's such a gas and was very grateful as well. I love it.
Thank you so much for showing these on the TV channel. I love Bill and I love the prizes on the show. I also love any life in the '50s and before Vietnam. I am way younger than any of that but just seeing pictures and shows from then makes me wanted to have lived during that time. I hope you will keep showing these old Price is Right on the TV. Also, Name That Tune. Jokers Wild, Tic Tac Dough, Bullseye and Face the Music. Plus any others from the '80s Take off Match Game from playing so much and add the ones I listed above and more. Thanks!
Explanation of "Henry, it's time to leave for work"--after finishing PRICE, Bill would head off to another theater for CBS' show I'VE GOT A SECRET, which aired live at 9:30 ET...alongside fellow panelist, humorist Henry Morgan.
I think that was a Siamese cat in the painting, Contemplation of Evil. Meow! I didn't recognize their work, but I would guess the boat picture probably proved to be the best investment.
I'm sure Bill was thrilled when the Pirates beat the Yankees in Game 7 of the 1960 World Series and had plenty of bragging rights around the TPIR studio back then. 😉👍
These shows are a good example of how people have changed, over the years. The winners on this show are very grateful. As opposed to modern day game shows, where contestants insult each other, and are full of themselves.
The contestants on the original “TPIR" are both well-behaved and well-dressed, whereas contestants on the current version are casually dressed and act like animals!
Bill Cullen was a wonderful host. So warm, witty, and genuine!!

The dulcet tones of Don Pardo at his greatest!

Originally aired October 5, 1960
I think it's a black-and-white kinescope as I'd heard they originally aired those episodes in colour.
I've no doubt that this is indeed a B&W kinescope.
My grandmother had a color tv, and I remember seeing them in color
What is the original air date of this episode?
October 5, 1960...Game 1 of the World Series was played that afternoon.
@@tomservo56954 It was also the start of the current "Price Is Right" sweepstakes that had a Mercedes-Benz as the prize.
I wondered, too. Thank you, gentlemen.
@@tomservo56954And the Buccos won the 1960 World Series in Game 7 on the first-ever World Series walk off homer by Bill Mazeroski !
With original commercials.
27:57 - Game Show Network again
Buzzr should notice this.
@@binhkhoiluuuc1718 GSN originally aired the repeat in the 1990's, but without the commercials.
