The changes for Rebels and the addition of Sleeper Cell have really helped Rebels, and they needed it. But hot dice versus not hot dice will decide the game, almost every time. Great video, as always!
Almost seems to be the main word with Legion games. "That clone unit ALMOST survived", "I can ALMOST move Cassian into scoring". We all have the "almost" moments, and they keep us coming back for more. Great game!
I am a rebel player. I've won a lot under the new rules, but, most of my victories if the game would have went another round I would have been basically wiped. Win 10-9 on turn 5, but if we went to turn 6 it would be like 11-12. Or win 12-10 on turn 4, but it would be 12-13 at the end of 5. All my ties would be loses on kill points.
This is an accurate description, and if you think about it, its thematic. A bunch of squishy figures lead by their heroes trying to accomplish their mission at the last possible second.

I like your battle reports very much. One reason is that your are very good with the rules. This time I’m a little bit confused with some dice rolls and resolutions. At 20:25 the rebels hat 10 hits and a crit. The Mandos made their cover roll with 12 white dice? At 36:05 the oversized bear squad got 8 hits with pierce 1. The Mandos rolled 4 blocks and 2 surges becoming blocks. Minus 1 for pierce makes 5 blocks total. 8 hits minus 5 blocks doesn‘t wipe a 4 Mando unit, does it? Was it almost correct?
Your correct both of those were errors. On the cover roll I must have miscounted the dice when picking them up so that was an error, then on the bear attack I didn’t do the impervious math correctly and should have lived with one health as the squad was full
Thank you, I use Vallejo brown earth texture on my bases. I just used a little of that on the bus also took different shades of browns on a sponge and dabbed until I got the effect I wanted. Thanks! -Joe
Great game! I think SC Mando's are the best Mando's, not sure spamming them with Maul gives you enough wiggle to do what you need to. Maybe Gar Saxon instead of Maul and drop Rook for Marksman heavy and swap the naked Pykes for more Black Suns.

Almost looked promising in that last round for the comeback. I do think Rook could use a little boost in some way, free tokens from being near Maul is ok, the extra health is real nice but the offensive profile is a side-grade at best, and I would even say compared to the Marksman and his having both range 3 and giving the unit precise, she is kinda a downgrade. The alpha strike capability with marksmen and rockets seems pretty important and you lose a great deal of potency with that if you take Rook or the gunslinger (or the regular extra dude). Into the Fray feels pretty important for Maul, don't know where those points would have come from but I think they would have helped him a bit. I also suppose force choke advocates would also be pointing at that 1 hp sleeper unit for their reasons it is a must take on Maul.

You almost get the feeling that you guys should start a poker playing channel! It is so hard to gauge the actual state of the battle with all the whining between the swingy dice rolls - you could almost bluff any pro poker player 😂

I knew this video was gonna be awesome not just cause of the lists but how Don told Joe “he’s one more” and then telling us something that we didn’t know. I really wish more Shadow Collective gets added into the game I think they are really kewl! Those first couple rounds were almost a massacre but happy to see it ended up being a good fight.
