I love your podcasts and ALWAYS knit while listening to you. Please don't feel pressure to finish items and move on to the next knit. I honestly don't mind hearing about things you are knitting at each stage and to see things more than once. I love hearing how knitters work their way through a pattern and I often pick up tips that way. Speaking of that, I loved the reel showing how you do the button. I hope I can remember to come back and look at it again as I will hopefully be knitting a cardigan in 2024. For your "what I knit in 2023 video" I would love to hear you mention what your favorite knit was in each category such as sweater, accessory, and sock patterns.

❤ each podcast gets better and better!
For short rows in half fisherman’s/brioche, it’s easier to do wrap and turns or Japanese short rows on the purls. Then they disappear into the fabric.

That little frog with his sweater!! I’m in love! I have made several knitted animals throughout the years and they all came out to be adorable, but I really haven’t enjoyed them that much because of all the little fiddly pieces and things to be sewn on. Hi, a begginer here. I'm just finishing my 2nd Enchanted Pinecones sock (after one sweater and one pair of socks) and I also couldn't wrap my head around the heel part, both times. I think it's beacause the pattern sometimes metions needle A and needle B, and then suddenly it's a BOR, which is the 2nd stitch on the needle A (?). Honestly I don't know. But I ended up borrowing stitches from NA while doing the heel turn so the count would be correct 😅 So hearing that such an expierienced knitter also struggles with this is somehow comforting. Thank you for sharing!
And I think your execution of sweater 22 ultimately convinced me that I need to buy the pattern.
    And ofc to subscribe.

interesting to know you also had issues !! And yes exactly my thoughts with the BOR changing. I still need to do the second sock, woops :( But im glad it was inspiring to get you to get the pattern !

Your sweater No. 22 turned out amazing. Length is perfect I would say. A little shorter would look good too but only with high waisted bottoms. Nice, very inspiring. Love that Irene Lin.
I am knitting the last one of her with fakefur…..it is funny to see how that will work out. I knitted the Rota this summer, very pleasant knit.
Into Christmassweaters already. Finished the one I started 2 years ago🫣
Got 2 that I am knitting along ( Kal) in red that not necessarily need to be finished and I am casting on an Anne Ventzel already planned 3 years ago?😳……in Christmascolours, maybe I finnish, ( I would love that) maybe not. I already have one Christmassy sweater, so then that one will probably be my next years😁. A lot of Kal’s in autumn that messed up my planning in those years. So I am better in that now, ….letting go , prioritize😉
And then I have some on the needles that I want to wear with my clothing I already have…..the more important ones….
Sounds like a lot🫣….but actually it is okay, a lot of my plans were finished this autumn, sooner as expected so for me it works beautifully……having no deadlines.😉
Love to hear about your plans next podcast🙋🏼‍♀

Love your knits, take your time! (I like the warmer tones better on you, I think you lean to the cooler tones).
For the holly sweater, would only do double yarn on the berry, so they stick out of the white and green of the leafs. Would not do fuzzy yarn with leafs or berry’s. The podcast your are planning, would love to see you model the item as it is now, would like to hear if the cost of the project is worth it. Would you use the yarn or the pattern again? Did I pill, did the yarn held its shape, that kind of information would be helpful to me. I’m very curious what you are planning for the anniversary podcast, are you doing a live?

I have not done short rows in brioche so I can't help there, but as far as short rows placement, I've done a sweater that places them before splitting for sleeves and body and a sweater that had them both before and after splitting for sleeves and body. I found the latter quite odd but it worked. If done before splitting for sleeves and body, the turns were in the sleeve parts. In the sweater that had short rows after splitting, the turns were in the front part but very close to the sides of the sweater.
There is another way to add length to the back and I've used it, you could split for sleeves and knit a straight back and forth panel in the back for however rows you need, then rejoin with the front (casting on underarm stitches as you go) and continue with the body in the round. However, with this approach you need to pick up stitches from the sides of this straight panel on the back when you start knitting the sleeves, and these add to the number of stitches you have already allocated for the sleeves plus the underarm cast on, so you need to think about these numbers in advance. I was very skeptical about this construction when I first met it but I eventually tried it and what do you know, it worked and turned out to be very nicely fitting.

Thanks for taking the time to explain!! That sounds super interesting, and I will probably not be brave enough to try the second part of your comment, but I'll take into account what you said about the difference between before/after split!
