Second, there's a lot of fluff, misinformation, and flat out lies on the Internet about the Church of Jesus Christ. The Spirit helps us weed through all of that. Your comments ring true to me. So much so that I subscribed, listened, commented and will look out for future videos. Like you and millions more, I love President Nelson.
My mom lives in the same ward as two of President Nelson's daughters. At one time one of the daughters was the Relief Society president. Mom was a visiting teaching (or ministering sister) district something or other. The daughter would come to her house to discuss Relief Society matters and I happened to be there a couple of times while she was there. She told my mom the same story of Sister Nelson going to another room while President Nelson received revelation. So good to hear this again. Also, I have heard her refer to President Nelson as "Daddy". I had never heard a prophet referred to this way and never thought about it until she called him Daddy. It was fun to hear him described that way.
I was sitting in a large public cafeteria in a grocery store when a commercial on a very large hanging flat screen ceased and President Nelson's face appeared. I was startled and didn't know what was going on! From what I could tell I was the only member out of all the people in that public place, but as I looked around ... all eyes were on him. :) I will never forget that moment - that very special/needed message to the WORLD that day and how it stood out to me as a "marker in time". I could tangibly and spiritually feel it. Hearing this backstory always makes me smile. I can still see his blue eyes, loving smile and hear the sound of his voice from that day. Speaking God's message to us. I love President Nelson.
Thank you for this testimony of our prophet. He is such a good man and it is wonderful that he hears and follows the voice of The Lord. He is here to share his gift with the world!
Sister Kaitlyn! (Sp) I was at the Sacrament Meeting where Wendy and President Nelson gave those talks. She told us she went and did genealogy, when she left the room. Which aligns perfectly with what you read. Also, I believe the Lord told you who the Prophet was talking to. It just feels right. I left that meeting KNOWING that he had seen the Savior face to face. She heavily implied what you said. Many of us think you are amazing!

This is so cool! I have read that book! I love it! June 9, 2019, President Nelson made an unexpected visit to Orlando. He was supposed to go to Atlanta, but for some unknown to us reason, his entourage came to Florida. We had about 5 weeks notice. I got to sing in the choir. Thank you so much for taking the time to share these amazing moments in the life of our beloved Prophet. I’ve met Wendy and have been in meetings where she and Sherry Dew spoke. These two women are gems. They glow with happiness and love for our Heavenly Father and Christ.
Reminds me of this from ask, seek, knock Oct 2009 “Years ago, while immersed in the task of preparing a talk for general conference, I was aroused from a sound sleep with an idea impressed strongly upon my mind. Immediately I reached for pencil and paper near my bed and wrote as rapidly as I could. I went back to sleep, knowing I had captured that great impression. The next morning I looked at that piece of paper and found, much to my dismay, that my writing was totally illegible! I still keep pencil and paper at my bedside, but I write more carefully now.” I’m know he’s not the first or the last person to write illegible at night when receiving revelation. But like you said he had a history of that so it makes sense that’s how the lord would keep talking to him.
President Nelson is the "steward" of all living people on the earth, in addition to being our Prophet, and President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. There are many people in the world who want to join but are not allowed to by their government, I know of one jewish couple living in Israel that want to join but they can't even go out of the country be baptized then come back, at this time I don't know their current status, they patiently wait. No other prophet has talked more about the second coming then President Nelson, he said we are in the bottom half of the last inning it is close, also, the members who are alive now, we are those that Nephi saw in his vision of the last days, it's us! This last conference one speaker said that this is the only dispensation that will not end in world apostacy it will end in the second coming.

I was living in San Diego in the 1990s and I worked with a lot of people who knew that I was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or a “Mormon“ as they called me. When the war started with Iraq, I cannot tell you how many people came to me and asked me if this was the start of Armageddon because they knew that my church was lead by a prophet. There is a saying that goes, “There are no atheists in a foxhole“. People know where to turn when they are in true need.

It's so great that God speaks to thousands of people all over the earth. We can and should all seek to be prophets that the spirit be poured upon us. I am curious to know why President Nelson doesn't talk to the church about these things. Why would we be hearing them from his wife? And when did it become customary for public revelation meant for the earth or at least the church to be kept private and unpublished? Additionally I wonder how long Amos 3:7 will continue to be taken out of context and touted as some marvelous thing for one man to experience at a time rather than realize that God has and will send MANY prophets to his people to warn them of the coming destruction. God isn't going to cut off his people until they have had sufficient warnings to repent. That's very contrary to most of the messages that the prophet is giving in these last days. It's too bad that Nelson can't keep both of his wives in heaven, and he didn't really see around the corner of COVID since he confessed he had no idea it was coming and ended up bowing down to the tyranny of the government letting go of most religious liberties. He seems like a great guy, but I keep waiting for a prophet to lead the church that isn't some wealthy elderly man from the elite level of society. I doubt anyone can honestly explain that away. The cleansing coming upon the church is going to be great and terrible as the true marvelous work and a wonder goes forth to make the wise foolish by means of the weak ones of the earth and children and women take over as the real judges of Zion over those who rule by virtue of the priesthood.
Not all instruction given to the prophet is intended for the membership or the public. I imagine much of it would not be very exciting to us. Do you often just stop by to drop apostate naysaying into the comments?
@@lemjwp1756 you think the prophet of the world and the church doesn't receive revelation for the world or the church? Then for who are the revelations? Just leadership? I'd like to know your thoughts. Also, why would you claim that the revelations are not very exciting? Is that because they don't pertain to the doctrine of salvation? Are they truly as Nelson has confessed majorly policy and procedural adjustments or other matters of business and things of the world? Then what good does it do to hang on every word these men say? What good does it do to follow such men? Judge me all you want, but we need to have higher standards for Zion if we ever have a hope in its redemption. It's been nearly 200 years, and we are no closer than they were before. I can tell you that ALL instruction Christ gives is exciting and beneficial for anyone to receive. We must not diminish the significance and power of God's word. I love the church and God's kingdom far too much to accept such an attitude as to diminish the need for purity and power.
I didn't say he doesn't receive revelation for the church and the world... I said much of the guidance he receives may not necessarily be doctrinal or relevant to us, and are more likely procedural or personnel adjustments, anticipatory in nature, or involving future projects. I worry about those who rather than focus on their own covenant path journey seem preoccupied with steadying the ark. Remember when Judas was critical of how the funds were being used? Why is it human nature to become armchair critics of the Lord's work. Do some service maybe...
Why do you find these things so incredible? You remind me of the guy who comes running in and tells his wife, Shirley, “Guess what, I was listening to Truman Madsen’s presentation on presidents of the church on the way home, and he tells a story about how Hugh B. Brown told Joan Lee that her husband, Harold, had appeared to him the previous night. And she didn't bat an eyelash, but said, ‘How did he look?’ And he said, ‘Just wonderful!’ Isn't that amazing!” To which Shirley says, “Not really. You _do_ know we believe in revelatory works, angels and experiences, don't you?” Her husband, taken back, says, “Well yeah. But I never thought things like that actually happened!” So I'm happy that you're happy by such things, but when you get to be as old as I am (70+), things like that don't seem all that far fetched anymore. The veil is starting to approach me pretty quick at my age, so wisdom and experience work a bit faster, if you get my drift. So enjoy your wonder whilst you're at your age.
Did you mean to sound as condescending as you did? If not I will accept a different version of your statement. But in response I will say, I hope I never tire of finding such things “incredible” the fact that God is willing to speak to us is miraculous to me. Yes, even though I know that He does. Most of the world denies this.. and the fact that out of almost 8 billion people on the earth the fact that I know that there is a prophet who speaks to God is really amazing to me.. I truly “stand all amazed at the love Jesus offers me”.
I’m with you Kaitlyn, I’m 64yo & “stand all amazed at the love Jesus offers us” I’m also excited & anticipating Christs return, I can’t wait & so grateful for ppl like yourself who are doing these amazing podcasts for those who’s ears & ears are open… thankyou ✨💛✨💛✨💛✨💛✨@@AnticipatingChristsreturn
@@AnticipatingChristsreturn I don't find those remarks condescending! I am 75 and I don't feel your youthful exuberance as I once did. I have had my own experiences in years past while doing genealogical research, waking up in the middle of the night getting certain instructions pertaining to different subjects. Some of them quite profound and dealing with my family beyond the veil. Don't be too quick to judge this matter as you will be old one day yourself, and much of the exuberance of youth will leave you. If I might add Pres. Nelson is probably not the last prophet before the Lord comes. Read D&C 45:26 "...and they shall say that Christ delayeth his coming until the end of the earth." Why would many people say that? I submit that the reason will be that the world will be in a terrible state of war and destruction. It will be like the Lamanites closing in for the kill against the Nephites at the Hill Cumorah. Not all of the saints at the Lord's coming will survive in the flesh, but if they are righteous their death will be sweet to them. Perhaps you will live to see it and I have that hope for you.
@@d.tombentz3382 that’s why I asked him if he meant to be condescending because if he didn’t then I read it wrong. I was just clarifying. To me it seems that sometimes people use their age as a way to make it sound like I don’t know what I’m talking about. As for not having the energy and excitement that you once did I’m sorry about that!! But the fact that he totally disregarded what I thought was exciting seemed kinda condescending. 🤷🏻♀️ I would rather be excited and help others be excited about these things along the way.
@@AnticipatingChristsreturn » Nay, I never intended to sound condescending at all. I simply meant to say that the closer one gets to the grim reaper, expiration, curtains, oblivion, passing, the last hurrah, finis, the end, the final rest - the more one appreciates the reality of events that used to fill us with wonder. In fact, one of the sadder aspects of doing, I think, is regaining our previous memories. In fact, losing that sense of wonder is something I dread! In this life, seeing an angel is amazing, stupendous, life altering. But once one passes, not so much. We will see _many_ angels. As we get older, we also, regretfully, lose some of this wonder, I think. I believe that in the next decade or two (if you live, and I hope you do), you will see many things that previous generations could only dream of seeing. Me, I'll most likely be dead, but this generation will witness things no other in the history of the world could not hope to see.
@@karynbloxham well, Karyn.. why don’t you just go to the source directly instead of RUclips…. There’s an app called gospel library… you could just listen to them yourself. Beware of false prophets. In these last days, God no longer speaks through men but through His Son (Hebrews 1:1-2). There is only one mediator between God and man - Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5).
@@jgbaugh Like Hebrews 1:1-2 declares - Spoke to prophets in the past! Not today. In these last days, God speaks to us through His Son via the Holy Spirit to everyone who puts their faith in Jesus. As 1 Timothy 2:5 declares - Jesus is our only mediator between God and man. No more prophets as mediators. Unless you just don't believe in the Scriptures and what God has declared.
@@AnticipatingChristsreturn Ephesians 2:18-22 tells us that the prophets of the OT and apostles of the NT are the foundation of the faith that HAS BEEN laid, with Christ as the cornerstone. That foundation does not need to be replaced from time to time. It is permanent. Since Christ died for our sins and rose from the dead, He has made it possible for all who believe on Him to have direct access to the Father by way of the Holy Spirit (vs 18). Having been LDS for 60 years, I know how difficult it is to let go of trusting in a man who claims to be a prophet. But when you do and put your faith in Christ alone, you will discover that He is the only Prophet, Apostle, and High Priest we will ever need (Hebrews 3:1). God Bless!
That is false. God has always used prophets. It is a misinterpretation of one verse in the New Testament to say he no longer does so. In fact if you will read Acts, you will see several mentions of prophets (including Agabus), and this is after the ministry of Christ.
@@AnticipatingChristsreturn I'm glad you were able to see it as intended - no disrespect. The funny thing is, the expression "woke" as it's used in our culture today, actually describes people who are asleep. President Nelson is the most truly woke person on earth.

@@lemjwp1756 service is great, but we must not overlook the grave need for repentance.
And she didn't bat an eyelash, but said, ‘How did he look?’ And he said, ‘Just wonderful!’ Isn't that amazing!”
To which Shirley says, “Not really. You _do_ know we believe in revelatory works, angels and experiences, don't you?”
Her husband, taken back, says, “Well yeah.
I’m with you Kaitlyn, I’m 64yo & “stand all amazed at the love Jesus offers us”
I’m also excited & anticipating Christs return, I can’t wait & so grateful for ppl like yourself who are doing these amazing podcasts for those who’s ears & ears are open… thankyou ✨💛✨💛✨💛✨💛✨@@AnticipatingChristsreturn
I would rather be excited and help others be excited about these things along the way.
What was the Revelation?
I really hate it when what ever the reason, people take to youtube to speak THE WORDS, INSTEAD OF JUST SHARING tHE PROPHETS WORDS THEM SELVES
@@karynbloxham well, Karyn.. why don’t you just go to the source directly instead of RUclips…. There’s an app called gospel library… you could just listen to them yourself. Instead of coming on my channel and USING ALL CAPS AT ME!
Who knew that me talking about Christ and His prophets would bring so much hate into your heart….. I’m so sorry.
@AnticipatingChristsreturn the beatitudes.😅 He was hated first for sharing the gospel. Good job.❤
Dilly-dally! That's basically my nickname.
Dedicated prayers?
You’re right, I don’t believe you. Time to make an appointment with your mental health counselor.
Beware of false prophets. In these last days, God no longer speaks through men but through His Son (Hebrews 1:1-2). There is only one mediator between God and man - Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5).
Surely the Lord Jehovah will do nothing, except he reveal his secret unto his servants the prophets Amos 3:7-8
So technically you should just deny the rest of the whole New Testament after Christ dies… since God no longer needs to speak through men….
What's the name of this book?
The heavens are open by Wendy Nelson
Our prophet is literally woke. Sorry, I couldn't resist.
Your comment made my heart drop at first, knowing you (from previous comments) I was like … oh no!!!!!!! 😅
@@AnticipatingChristsreturn I'm glad you were able to see it as intended - no disrespect. The funny thing is, the expression "woke" as it's used in our culture today, actually describes people who are asleep. President Nelson is the most truly woke person on earth.
keep waiting another 2000 years for a fairy tale. Remember he said he would return before some of his listeners passed away. mmmm another failure.
