    Thank you for the video, to me Sand Marc is a clear winner if you ask me! By the way, what was meant by low and high settings, rotation by 90°?

    Very good, thanks for the information, but I have a question.
    how do you do when using a nd16 or nd32 is flying and when the drone shoots, behind a building, an area with shadow and image becomes very dark, how do you do in these?
    Or in scenes where you shoot the horizon with strong sun, but when you need to focus some object on the ground, it gets very dark too, how should I proceed in these cases?
    or in these cases have to leave in automatic same?

      I'm from Brazil, I'm following your videos from the canada tutorial at the premiere and from the settings of phantom 3, great channel, I'm your fan!

      @ManAndDrone  6 лет назад +4

      Hey Buddy, thanks for the long time support! Okay so to answer your questions:
      Continue using the ND Filters making sure your image is not too underexposed. In Premiere CC use 'Lumetri Color' and under 'Basic Settings' you will see 'Shadows' You can increase this slider to lift the darks. It's a quick and easy fix.
      Another factor, PolarPro make the Gradient ND's now so for example ND 16/4 you can adjust so sky is ND16 and foreground only ND4, See here : amzn.to/2NLexO9
      Hope that helps, Cheers.

    Hey! Great RUclips channel very helpful :) I’m new to the drone world and have recently bought a Mavic Air. I was wondering if you could advise me on the best laptop to buy to save and edit my videos on. Many thanks

      Hi If you work from PC/Windows I like any of the MSI Laptops and Dell XPS. Look for Laptops that have extra graphics for example nvidia geforce 1050ti this helps a-lot, also make sure they have the latest 8th Gen i5 or i7 CPUs important for video editing. If you're more a Mac user then any of the latest 8th gen intel Macbook Pros 13 or 15". If you choose PC then learn Adobe Premiere, if you work on Mac choose Final Cut editing software. Hope that helps.

    Sorry I'm new to filters, so only really use ND filters around water? Or are they good all round. I have a phantom 4 pro and I'm learning atm.

    • @ManAndDrone
      @ManAndDrone  5 лет назад +4

      Yes there's a good use case for all round can reduce haze, also if you want to set your shutter manually to double your recording framerate for a smoother cinematic feel. Try setting your shutter at 60 if you film at 4k 30 fps aperature at around f5 to 8 then choose an ND filter that will give you an EV reading at around 0, probably ND 8 or 16 or 32 depending on time of day. Cheers

      Man And Drone thank you very much, really do appreciate the help, its extremely daunting when first starting up, I have the polar pro cinema vivid collection for my phantom 4 pro, if I use them settings you recommended will they be ok?

  • @Sglaucoss
    @Sglaucoss 5 лет назад +2

    I think the polarpro preserve the colors to grade in post production. The others look more saturated its not good. But if you not go make gradecolor the others will be a good choice.

    Haven't seen you mention anywhere that ND filters are to achieve motion blur - thats quite an omission.

    • @ManAndDrone
      @ManAndDrone  5 лет назад +4

      Absolutely - with you on that, this video is more just a brief review of how the Freewell , Sandmarc & PolarPro Filters fair, rather than a specific technical in-depth discussion of ND FIlters.
