My biggest personal stuggle that bleeds into my work as a teacher is that I tend to speak softly. I am so passionate about teaching and working with kids, but this has been a huge barrier for me professionally. One step I took towards overcoming it was working on vocal projection with a professional voice actor on fiverr. Might seem like ovekill, but it really heped me to have more of a growth mindset about my situation because I saw that while there's nothing wrong with who I am, vocal projection is actually a skill that I can improve. I also really like what you said about focusing on envisioning yourself killing it rather than worrying about what you think could happen. I also try to set myself up for success by dressing in a way that makes me WANT to be seen, rather than to hide.
Thank you infinitely for not just discussing posture in regards to confidence. I have a spinal deformity that makes standing totally straight impossible. This is inclusive and helpful for me.
I'm in my second year of teaching. I watched many of your videos last year and am reading your book. As an introverted person myself, your video really helped me a lot. I am still faking it at the moment, but I hope that one day I can make it:)
I'm halfway through my student teaching semester in a 3rd grade class. I was just thinking yesterday how much confidence my mentor teacher has and how great a rapport she has with our students. Well I would say my confidence is high for a student teacher, some things only get better with the experience of having done something before.
I find that having rapport with your students really tells what kind of teacher you are. It is definitely about the students. I think if you get them, they will be there even for the hard stuff. I also student taught in a third grade classroom. I ended up really enjoying them. At that age, they really start to develop their own ideas and personalities.
This list looks a lot like most "manifestation" techniques lists .. except that this one is totally true & I absolutely want to manifest being the best possible teacher I can be💙
I watch you and I model you speech, your hand gesture, humor. I model a few people .
“Confidence is a muscle” love that. Takes practice and feels scary at first but each time you get better !
I have to remind myself of that one often ❤️

Good for you! It's not overkill to seek training. Big ups

Hi Isa, Thanks so much for the kind words. I'm curious what some of your struggles are in the classroom as someone that is introverted?
Excellant. Thank you!! Now i can move ahead!!
You are right! Look at the room. Know also how do i get there! Car route building route!
Find everything before you have to be there.
encore encore!!
you're great at this style.
so enjoying this
Glad you enjoy it!
This is super helpful
what a coincidence, my lesson this week with my kids in group therapy is building confidence.
I think of it as a sign when you are on the same page.
I like how you start this with a question. I am interested in building inquiry more into my teaching methods.

This has been my message for years💕 #theConfidentTeacher
Hello! Nice video! What is the name of the program for writing with chalk? Thanks!
You are ambidextrous! That's genius. You wrote the 6th point with your other hand
😂
I like the kissing analogy lol
My wife just gave me the most confused look when she watched that. 😂
