This is so cool. If you decided to post the files I would be interested in conducting near hypersonic tests with them. I have an electro thermal gun which achieves around 3000 fps. I think it would be really cool
That's a good idea. But this shell doesn't have a "rifling" thing, so the faster it gets, the more unstable it gets. It's sad news... (file will upload any soon. There are a few things to fix to reveal.)
@@Flasutie This is true, but for close range testing it should work. I plan on printing it at a much smaller scale and perhaps adding a real steel core to try and get more stability.
That's a good point. If the shell could have collapsed, it would have shown different results, but this is not the case, so it is correct that there is only a difference in "Discarding" during flight.
@@Flasutie holy shit you're civil. That's pleasant. Back on topic. That is kinda true. Given the mechanism you have made. It's essentially APCRDS for the sake of pedantics. However. Interesting bullet, shell, whatever you pick it's a 20mm.
Late to the party but: The design actually reminds me a lot of APNCR; it's just not being fired from a tapered barrel to actually get the desired effect of firing a smaller, faster round out of a larger barrel. Which, in a way, makes it about the same functionality as APDS like you pointed out - the main functional difference is just whether the core leaves the barrel on it's own or not, really. Either way, it's very cool to watch and ponder over.
I love this but I would like the files to 3d print the barrel it was fired from also the one for your apfsds rounds as well if you can upload those files
we need rc tanks fighting each other like this
The closest thing we have to rc tank shooting is an rc tank that shoots bbs

@@PlasmaFreakcan you post that here once you’ll be done with that? I’d be very interested in seeing the results
Yeah I would love to do some testing of my own. I find armor penetration technology very fascinating.
This is super cool dude. Continue the great work on this. You should try to make an APCBC shell.
great content, glad someone does this
ATF "Write that down, Wright that DOWN!!"
Awesome, some people tried to print real worling gun, but you think biger. You are preparing to print a tank.
Mfw he prints composite battleplate
Tried? Lol there are printable versions of tons of rifles and handguns
Hey, that's really nice. Please more content bro
You should make the shells with softer materials to see if the bullet gets deformed in the armor
Awsome!
fun well made content - subed
Hope you can make every angle firing test
3D printed proximity fuse when?
Interesting vid!! Could you tell me what software you use for the graphics? It’s really cool.
HEAT round next
No that's APDS. APCR keeps the tip on. It's a full bore sub caliber penetrator

I’m sorry what? That’s how APCR works? I feel kinda dumb for knowing a lot about tanks and finding out I was wrong about APCR.
videos are so nice! what kind of mechanism do you use to shoot the rounds?
compressed air ?
he uses a potato gun

Try HEAT or HESH lol (if you want do explosive)
can you make shrapnel shells next time?
I'll put it on my list
Is it possible to use a tungsten core? Amazing video by the way.
probably too heavy
also very expensive
also very expensive
Make high explosive for the next one lol
I'm experimenting indoors. And I'm still young to die.
make more
what are you using to launch these shells?
ruclips.net/video/NQaT_uHr6VA/видео.htmlsi=6bPasl_SCpIkEAIC
How did it shoot?
Quiet firing sound, so probably pneumatic.
Could you do apds please
You Could ad a metal called Gallium to the incide of the core for more realism, the metal melisma at 30 degrees and it is non toxic
It is not that expensive
he did apfsds and apds
hopefully the fbi doesnt see this
