It was good to see the boys come back three times to salvage a point. But, you can see what happens when Lankinen has an "average" performance. We also have to appreciate being able to see Quinn Hughes in the prime of his career.
Soucy somehow made deharnias look good this game. oh my our defence other than quin is so bad and it doesn’t help miller is in the bottom 5 in defence by a forward, at least petey can play defence.
Our team just looks completely lost in the offensive zone, almost no time spent getting looks, all of our offensive zone time is just in the corners, then it exits the zone. Maybe 10% of the time it gets to Hughes, does his usual move, gets a predictable shot and then they go set up in our zone and makes 5 on 5 look like a powerplay. Sucks, Lanks is playing phenomenal, even if he let in some softies. Thing that worries me the most is the inconsistency, can go from looking good to looking like a last place team in the span of 1 game. Not sure if there are enough games to fix that fundamentally big of a problem, but always hopeful. Merry Christmas buddy

Thought 1 - I don’t think it’s that unreasonable or crazy for the media to ask the captain about drama going on in the locker room. Clearly something is going on. Not sure why everyone is acting like it’s blasphemous to ask the players questions. They make millions of dollars and god forbid have to answer a hard question or two. 5:30 pm Japan time. Decided to forgo this game and go hiking in the early winter sunshine. And glad I was I did that rather than stay home for this game. had a feeling I would have regretted it, what with the lack of defence and utter lack of harmony in this group. So, a trade in late December, early January will come. Can we have any doubt about that now? I'm sure other teams are trying to bend us over cuz they know we need help, so even the management is having a hard time duplicating their success from last year. These are called struggles and you have to deal with them not whinge and complain all the time and make mountains out of molehills. Or what the f♧ck, just keep going nuts about it, whip yourselves to a frenzy, and have another riot. We could go down as the city that scored the first ever hooligan hat-trick. I feel like selling miller can go worse than Peterson. Miller seems like a guy who leads the team morally, while Peterson isn’t great lately. Plus considering what issues we face in defence these days, maybe trading him for a high level defender would be a reasonable way.

As a sens fan, we often watch Tim Stutzle have nights where he seems to be a level above everyone else on the ice... Hughes is multiple leveled anyone else on his team... Btw Leevi Meriläinen did have a good game, he couldn't do much on the goals on he got scored on but was solid the rest of the game... Stop the disrespect to justify your teams garbage play lol
Hughes hard carrying the game and the press scrum. Unfortunately the rest of the team is garbage. Millet with a bad game, EP40 can't find the scoresheet. Defence overall is terrible, Lankinen with an OT softy and Tocchet getting outcoached by Green of all people. Last year was a fluke. PERIOD.
Great job by Alvin to re-sign Myers for 3 more years, as well as bringing in Desharnais and Forbort…I feel like people give Alvin way too much slack just because his name isn’t “dim Jim Benning” this team is a mess and one of these primadona “stars” needs to go along with the whole D-core except Hughes and Hronek

I am giving management to Jan 14 2025 to fix the problems they knew existed after the end of the playoffs. After the All Star Game....their game suffered and they were luck to make it to the Oilers in round 2. Remember they had problems with shots on goal...now far worse because the defense is far weaker. Management wanted to fill out the D by hiring lower tier D men..they got them and perhaps thought they could trade them as fodder but I suspect you cannot even give them away now..ie Forbert and Desharnais. Branstrom you keep. We are missing a number 3 and 4 D man...H and H are good....3 and 4 and Soucy and Myers...good enough for third pairing but even they need protected minutes...we are 2 away...wished that D Petey or similar were ready so that we only need one top tier D man.....offence...Petey needs support even though I believe he should carry his own line...as much as Kuz was a defensive liability sometimes a team can afford to carry one of those types of players...real issue with him is 5 million a year....at lower cost I bring him back for Petey. Anyways...season is over unless right moves are made by Jan 14 or so.
The officiating of this game was also pretty horrible (Maybe in arena bias) but it was also quite horrible... (I say it alot but maybe one of the worst)
