- The ever-reliable Anna Chekhova introducing Mikhail Pletnev at the 1978 Tchaikovsky competition winners' concert. Pletnev played Tchaikovsky's unfinished Allegro in F minor and three pieces he transcribed from the Nutcracker. How beautiful is the Pas de deux? Breathtaking. Timing below:

Thanks for posting! Tchaikovsky's solo piano music is undeservedly marginalized in th West. I was not aware of this fantastic movement from the unfinished work. Do you know when it was composed?

+PianOZone I'm not sure. Probably he didn't. However usually at a winners' recital the pianist will play pieces previously played.
Yeah! that's why I think this is another sample of the Pletnev's courage :)
By the way, there's no words to thank you all the contribution you've done with all those uploads. Just keep doing as much as you can, every of your videos is a piece of gold, bigger or smaller... But a piece of gold :)

- October(Autumn Song) 10월 가을의 노래
- November(Troika) 11월 트로이카
표트르 차이코프스키가, 1876년 “누벨리스트” 잡지사에서 “매달 한 편 씩 피아노 작곡을 해주세염” 부탁해여,,, 해서 다달이 쓴 곡의 모음이다.
그것이 차이코프스키의 대작 사계이다.
오늘은 2021년 10월 19일이다.
황수연 피아니스트는 계절에 맞춰
- October(Autumn Song) 10월 가을의 노래
- November(Troika) 11월 트로이카
이렇게 연주를 해 준 것이다.
사계의 10월 하면
나는 이제 숙명여대 계신 피아니스트 전혜수 님이
“러시아 유학시절 사계 10월을 치고 싶었는데”
“동양소녀가 러시아 감성을 알아? 안됨”
“해서 영하 15도 상트페테르부르크 네바강 한 가운데서 울먹였다는 ㅠㅠ"
그 말이 떠오른다.
그 사계를 이렇게 가까운 곳 인춘아트홀에서
듣고 있자니 참 낭만적이었다.
무대와 내가 5미터 정도 될까...
정말 가까운 거리였다.

호두까기 인형의 편곡 작품인데 사연이 대단한 작곡이었다.
1892년 호두까기 인형을 차이코스프키가 관현악 발레곡으로 작곡을 한다.
이것을 “미하일 플레트네프” 라는 21살의 피아니스트가 편곡을 해서 국제 콩쿠르 자유곡으로 우승을 해 버린다. (당시 나이 21살, 1978년)
7개 구간으로 나뉘어져 있는데
들으면 누구나 아는 멜로디 이지만
오케스트라의 곡을 피아노 독주로 편곡을 한 만큼
피아니스트에게는 치기 어려운
(그러나 청중이 듣기에는 화려한) 대단한 연주곡 이었다.

이 연주는 차이코프스키 보다는
Pletnev (미하일 플레트네프)에 중점을 두어야 하는 작품이다.
이 연주도 황수연 피아니스트가 너무 잘 쳤다.
특히,
4. Intermezzo 인터메조
이 연주를 할때는 무대 위에서 피아니스트가 너무나 자유로워 보였다.
solitude, 행복하고 자유로운 상태에서
soliloquy, 청중들에게 노래(Vocal)를 하고 있는 것으로 보였다.
7. Pas de Deux (Andante Maestoso) 안단테 마에스토소
마지막 연주는 너무 낭만적이고 아름다웠다.
많은 준비와 연습을 한 것으로 보였고
실제로 너무 잘 쳤다.
오늘 전 곡이 본인의 유튜브 채널에 올라올 수 있지 않을까...?
기대를 해본다.
유튜브에 잘 친 영상이 올라와도
나는 그것을 독주회에 들어왔던 내 자신을 추억하며 본다.
실제 연주장 안에서의 감성은 연주장에서만 느낄 수가 있다.
2019년에 금호아트홀에서 귀국 독주회를 한 피아니스트라고 한다.
2021년에는 예술의전당에서 독주회를 연 것이고
내가 우연히 ‘신진 아티스트에요. 몰라요 무작정 들어가 볼래요!‘ 해서
이렇게 들어와 알게 된 것이다.
드레스부터, 연주까지
오랜 기간 많은 준비를 한 것으로 보였다.
오늘 나오면서 보니
예술의전당 감나무에서 슬슬 낙엽이 떨어지고 있다.
낭만적인 가을 밤 피아노 독주회 였다.
청소하시는 분들이 낙엽을 치우지 말고 일부러 낙엽을 쌓이게 내버려 두시면
음악당이 더 낭만적이지 않을까... 생각을 해본다...

“ 청중도 오늘 나만의 소중한 독주회를 열었다. ”
