- Beginning Wednesday, New York City will evict more than 100 migrants from the shelter system. The migrants are single adults who've been in the system for 30 days and haven't been able to prove that they've faced extenuating circumstances in their search for housing. FOX 5 NY's Morgan McKay has the story.

The city has an original policy for the normal citizens to take care of the people who are actually from New York. The policy originally was to help New York citizens transition plan with work to get moving. Some locals might have drug mental health problems. This is what the must house policy is for.

I agree. The Blue City I live in a Red State is a Sanctuary City. The City had a homeless Crises prior to Biden’s Open Southern Borders. Today, the Homeless Crises has skyrocketed, because first priority is housing Illegals. Also, the City has become a Fentanyl Drug Trafficking Hub, & increased Fentanyl deaths in the streets. If Tourist who visit the City, was aware of the danger & high crimes, they would fear visiting & not want to waste their money. As a 20 year active duty rei=tired disabeld veteran I applide for section 8 housing, I was denied, yet when I went to apply all I saw was illegal immigrants applying and some getting on the spot approval, I went to Iraq to fight a war, I acnnot afford NYC anymore I'm gonna move to NC where I can at least afford an apartment.

They say I make too much money my Social Security it is $1000 a month that’s too much money for them, but in meantime just at the billions for some people that never should been in this country the first place.

NYC can evict from the shelters after 30 days but private homeowners can't evict squatters from their property unless they go through an expensive, long drawn out legal process.

I work in a hospital and it’s so heartbreaking that our own citizens that are homeless have no space in shelter and we discharge them back on the street.

New York's Right to Shelter applies only to American Tax Paying Citizens that have become homeless for whatever reason. It doesn't apply to illegals who committed the crime of illegally cross the southern boarder and invading our country.
