an important point was forgotten, the micro version unfortunately does not have an ultra low latency mode. As far as I've seen, there is only the high quality mode with a latency of around 40ms.
I appreciate the post. 1. Is the camera cable length the same as the original? 2. Is the camera’s single screw hole in line with one of the original camera holes, or is it in another position? I imagine this may cause some issues with some existing mounts. 3. My gripe: I wish they’d redesign the antenna connection. Those mmcx connector elbows have been the bane of my existence. I’m on the fence - do I want a serviceable antenna setup (vista), or do I want to record footage (air unit)?
Nice 👍 Thanks for the review. I still have 2 AU'S and 3 vista's I picked up at the start of the chip shortage. Good to know I have options for when I run out.
I recently bought one of this and unboxed by myself but with the cables the package didn't include any screws. And also when I try to activate, it didn't connect at the first place and after trying for hours I was able to get it activated after putting input voltage as 16v . After finishing the quad and doing the test flight the goggles view got frozen and nothing showed after that it happened two times so I tried to check things again but at that moment air unit is not working again it only shows the red light and not connecting. Do you know any solution or what is the reason this kind of issue came up?
Lol the caddx vista camera was Dji camera on the vista unit. Probably best camera still. Although nebula pro was getting close. I do love the polar camera for evening flights too.
Question.. can you coat an airunit and cam? Ive seen kotking and got it to coat my analogue quads. Im intrested in buying a dji goggle v2 with an airunit and get it in a diatone powerkit v2.( like the roma f5 you did)
Great video, thanks DrainMan. I may have to pull the trigger on digital. I noticed you wearing your glasses under your goggles...mind if I ask what you are correcting with your glasses? I'm farsighted so I've got to wear my glasses with my goggles....
@@TriMeX1987 vista is lighter overall and there are plenty of tutorials one on how to decase it. I haven't seen anyone stripping the air unit apart. Maybe you can be the first one 😜
@@paulhope3401 hahaha.... not a chance! I used to get so damn frustrated with the 90° mmcx plugs popping out off my older air units. Had to constantly check em. It would worry me to death
So they couldn't get the silicone plugs but can charge $20 more than the OG air unit. Come on man! Thought you were supposed of charge less for inferior components. Jk😂
Been waiting on this!!!!!!!

Nice comparison man, I was wondering where the DJI air unit went. Guess its just rebranded as Caddx...LOL

I need to know if a longer cable can be used.
My question is does it support 6s lipo out of the box the old one had a work around and is kind of annoying
Does it work with a Eachine EV800DM FPV goggles. And a Frsky QX7
So what about the resolution and image quality of the different cam in comparison to the old one?
It is the same
Great review matey, if you're interested on the cam the name (Caddx) goes to the top, and also it's down in price to $189 now
Great video - Glad to see that these are now available. Do you know if the weight is exactly the same?
Appreciate the review brother!

Awesome thank you sir. Great review. Love your style of reviews.
Can the caddix bind to a non Dji controller?
No, I had the same question and found out after I purchased this one. Still a good combo
As a glasses wearing pilot it's good to see the goggles can go over my glasses
are the screw holes on the same position? I know there is just on on both side... hate this :(
Can a longer cable be used instead of the 10cm one that comes with this?
Yes

Great review. 👍
Also it doesn't come with the plug on both sides so you dojt have to solder.
Lens on my zDJI air ubits are not adjustable.
(Finger trouble), Lens on DJI Air unit are not adjustable.
Superman just called he wants a titanium drone too... whoa...super genius
It il possible to have 700 mW of power on this new Caddx air unit ?
Nice video.. Does it still suffer from the same SD error fate as the DJI one?
This still happens on all my air units, so annoying. Its hit or miss if the flight records properly. I highly doubt even the FW changed.
Thanks share!
👍Like!👍
Same just like u said except camera but its 189 everywhere except rdq they are 199

The DJI goggles have little sliders on bottom of goggles that adjust your eye site for you depending on what you need, far sighted, near sighted etc.
I'm just a little far sighted, but don't need glasses at all with mine.
Tador lenses from RHO
does anybody know if the og camera has a little light sensor on the front?, one of the four screws on the front is like a little plastic light sensor?
Nice review mate. I will stick to the Vistas for now as it is lighter. Peace.
Can you conformal coat vista's?
@@TriMeX1987 Yes. Just look for Naked Vista tutorials on YT.

@@ClareFPV hahah nope!
But I meant coating is that beeing done on the airunit
So is the lip on the back reduced where antennas are or same?
EXACTLY!!!!!
Thx for you
Yea I mean I understand you don't like the price just don't buy it, but DAMNN! That's crazy money yo!
Main reason isn't not dji branded is because they have been black listed in the US and can't send us new products
micro will work in a 5in build
I thought it was cuz the government blacklisted DJI ? But idk the facts
literally no, they are not the same camera, if you have dji camera, keep it!
It’s a paper clip 😂😂
There IS a difference...... the top plate is now flush with the unit, which means the mmcx connectors wont pop out of socket so easily
no,is the same, check again
I can assure you it's not flush. It is the dji air unit with cadyx name... and slightly different camera.
The one i have sitting right in front of me has a flush back plate!!!
@@tshirtfactory07 😆!! ...Fair enough, there must be two different versions then. Weird. Want to swap? 🤣
