Overall the match went very good and shu you gave me very good experience ! I think you should go for a aggressive playing style and try to hit more cross smashes!
Yes, you will notice this is how most of the game is played nowadays at the high level. The slow lob net shots give away the net control to the opponent to net spin and force you to lift right away. Then you find yourself in a defensive position.
@@howeezy yeah, I’ve noticed myself scrambling for the bird more and more after my defensive game as I’ve started playing at a high-ish level so this will definitely help out. Super excited to get back on court now to test this out. Thanks for the insight
Great video. I've been seeing a lot of these kinds of lopsided scores in high level matches depending on the side of the court, wonder if that has anything to do with drift and if there are strategies to get around that.
Yes, sometimes it happens. It can be a variety of factors. Poor execution of strategy, poor handling of court situation (drift, external factors, etc.), pure lack of momentum, poor energy management, etc. These 3rd game pull aways do happen even for experienced players. It's always situational so I wouldn't say there is just one strategy to get around it
Great analysis 😀Keep making these videos! How do you analyze or set your game up during the game especially when you are tired? Any practice routines to get better at it?
I think I have become a more analytical player over the years of accumulating experience and becoming more calm when I play. Also very early on in my career, I made it a point to absorb as much badminton knowledge as I could to apply to my game. Definitely don't be afraid to try new things when you play, but challenge yourself to always be curious and question why you make mistakes and how to fix them.
It's a big transition but I would say start with the basics like learning the footwork since it is different than tennis and also getting in the habit of using your wrist because in badminton we don't lock our wrists in our swinging motion like in tennis. Good luck!
Hey I was wondering, if my racket stringing goes from 20-28lb. Is stringing it at 28lbs a bad idea? Because I recently got the astrox 99 pro 3u and I strung it at 28lbs and it broke in a couple of days so I don’t know if that’s because Imiss hit it or the tension is too high?
Astrox 99 pro 3u can easily hold 28 lbs. if the racket broke, honestly it’s most likely that the stringing job wasn’t done right. For example, if the knots are not tied properly and there is an unbalance in tension in certain areas of the string bed, then a miss hit could cause the racket to break. But if the stringing job is done well. Usually a mishit will only cause the string to break, the racket should not break.
Oh I’m sorry, I have miss worded it, I meant the 4U version and the frame didn’t break it was just the strings, but even so how did the strings break so fast?
@@Arun-db6ly could be miss hits. That is normal at high tensions especially for the thinner strings. If you notice that the string breaks near the edges and not at the center of the string bed where there was normal breakdown of the string. Then it was a miss hit. It’s the risk you run when stringing at higher tensions.
@@elmoramadhan3985 Yeah it does feel pretty good. However, I tend to not like head heavy rackets nowadays. I still personally prefer a balanced racket 😁
Just a small advice. You should incorporate variation in your net play by getting the shot higher than your usual net shot. You will have 1. More time to execute tight shot. 2. Better hold & push or offensive push from the net. 3. Variety of shot direction ie: deeper into court or left/right or closer to the sidelines.
understood but sometimes u need to attack as everyone who plays u knows ur strengths and weakness coz of your RUclips channel analysis. I wanted u to win against him 😢
Match breakdown/analysis fantastic and educational as always!

Great content and analysis! I'm mainly in tennis, but am keen on learning badminton, do you have any tips?

Dude.. if you had made a comeback from 11/3 then it would have been so much of a morale boost for me.
😅😅
I’ve definitely had some big comebacks, but unfortunately not in this match 😂

Yea.. unforced errors make the climb so slippery 😠
Anyways, I was rooting for you.

what camera do you used?
Will you change to the new CFZ3 version?
The new red color Comfort Z3?
@@howeezy both the red and the blue one, I think that they look better than the old version
How do you record your matches?? Please reply
Just with my phone and a portable tripod!
What phone do you use and also mention the settings pls
Good game

How tall are you?
I’m about 6’1” (185cm)
Hi can you do one on your match at the Mauritius international 2023
I think I lost in a 3 game match against Christopher Vittoriani at that event but I can find it!
Yes , if can do so , it will greatly appreciated . Thanks
Any updates about your racket?
In this video, I'm still playing the Arc Saber 11 😀

@@Naviiboy I'm still quite unsure. It's a tough choice between the Nanoflare 1000z 4ug5, Arc Saber 11 Pro 4ug5, and the 3rd Gen Astrox 88D Pro 4ug5
