Carnival Mardi Gras- Embarkation Day (4/27/24) Sail-Away Party, BBQ, Drinks and a HUGE surprise!

- We stayed the night in Cocoa Beach, FL then woke up and had breakfast at Water’s Edge Cafe by the cruise port. Then it’s Embarkation Day on the beautiful Carnival Mardi Gras. We boarded the ship, got drinks and lunch at Guys Pig n Anchor. We relaxed for a bit on Serenity Deck and got the biggest surprise from our friends! We had to catch the Sailaway party before getting ready for dinner at Cuchina del Capitano!!!! Also room tour of Square Interior Room 5443!!!! Cruise director: TJ Partida!!!

I love watching the sail away parties. I went on an Alaskan cruise last year and it was incredibly BORING! You get on the boat headed to the Caribbean and there's such an awesome vibe. You get on the boat in Seattle and it's like walking into a funeral. Not exaggerating one bit.
Oh wow! Alaska is on the bucket list but maybe we will wait til we get over our party vibe🤣🤣🤣

We're going to be going on the Mardi Gras next year I was wondering about the parking garage you guys were at what garage was it and do you personally think it would be tall enough we went on a cruise out of Miami and ended up in a garage that was too low and about ripped the whole rack off the top of our truck LOL
This is the parking garage right by Terminal 3, which is specific for Mardi Gras. We were in a Honda but saw plenty of big trucks and I don’t think that should be an issue in this parking garage!!!! Hope y’all have a great trip! We will be back in Feb 2025 and I can’t wait!!

The bucket of brews wasn’t included! Michelle had the drink package included in her casino deal but it was just for her🫣

Was the Pig and Anchor buffet free on embarkation day?
Yes!!!! It’s always free. If you go for dinner, most of the menu is free as well but there are a few upgraded paid options (ribs, etc)
I remember hearing at one point they had the filet mignon free but only on embarkation day. I guess normally it’s one of those “pay” options. I don’t know if they still do that. We’ll be on the Mardi Gras next spring so I guess we’ll find out then.
