    A must for cleaning wheel wells, especially the carpeted ones: Carpro InnerScrub, or if you want dual purpose: Carpro WheelsMitt. The white scrubby material cleans carpeted wheel wells or textured plastic much better than boars hair or EZ detail. It's like having a million tiny bristles vs having a few thousand.

  • @Froztinc
    @Froztinc 6 месяцев назад

    Diamond Protechs Glass coating hands down!! Has been installed on my vehicles for over a year constantly sitting outside in all of the elements and its just now getting weaker on the windshield. The rest of the glass is still repelling water okay but I am going to go ahead and do a refresh of all glass.
    The clarity in the rain is insane how it creates tiny little droplets so you have maximum visibility. I've never been super impressed by any glass coating mainly because of durability but this one has really taken me.

    Love the video! But I will say, please do not use ammonia based cleaners on tint. As a tinter of 12 years I can guarantee that if you use it more than occasionally that you will run in to issues with the glue breaking down. Tint is porous and the cleaner will without a doubt start to deteriorate glue holding the tint to the window! Thanks for the video Matty!

    Loving these videos, I'm currently in the process of locking in my own detailing process with tools and chemicals, and so far I'm sold on the OG method of a lot of things. Ive spent a lot of time messing with drying aids and I'm not having much luck, and wanted to see your take on this regarding the OG drying aid and how it affects towels. In the past I would use ceramic detail sprays and found they were gumming up my drying towels to the point where they don't do much absorbing, so eventually I canned that idea. Since then I use rags to riches to care for my towels so two questions:
    1. Does OG drying have that tendency to "clog" up your towels?
    2. Would I need to do anything different to care for my towels if I started using drying aid.
    I like the idea of having added lubrication to my drying process, and also having something that flashes easily and doesn't leave streaks, and also doesn't cause my towels to stop being effective. I know I could use ONR to aid the process, but I'd like to give this shot and see how it performs.

    • @ObsessedGarage
      @ObsessedGarage  6 месяцев назад +1

      Drying Aid will beat up your towels over time, but it take a pretty long time. A year or more if you use Rags to Riches. If you are really concerned, fill a bucket with water and add Rags to Riches. Soak your freshly used towels in that bucket.

      @@ObsessedGarage appreciate that tip! It's definitely a side of detailing I'm dipping my feet into and was never turned onto for those reasons, but I'll give it a shot. Keep up the videos, I enjoy listening to these talks!

    I totally agree with what Corey said about you bringing more people into the detailing world. If it were not for you and also some guy named “Pan” 😂, I would not have totally revamped my garage with one of your complete wall-mounted pressure washer systems, installed cabinets, painted my walls, installed lighting, and become completely obsessed with keeping my cars clean. Thanks Matt! I mean it sincerely because I love this hobby/obsession. My wife would say the same but in a super sarcastic tone due to how much $ I have spent and continue to spend. I like these new videos because I love trying new products. I watch, pause, go to browser and add things to my cart. Right now I have a few hundred dollars of things in my cart to buy more stuff from Sky’s the Limit.

    Quick question on ceramic brakes. I like to use a nice conventional spray detailer such as Meguiar's to clean my wheels in between washes. I never use dedicated wheel cleaner and find the spray detailer does a fine job. Is spray detailer safe to use on wheels with ceramic brakes or will the detailer damage CCBs? Thank you for any insight.

    • @timkinley1779
      @timkinley1779 7 месяцев назад

      Ceramic brakes don't require anything special for the wheels. Just clean them as needed. You still need to clean the barrels with an EZ detail brush and/or something similar.

    • @timkinley1779
      @timkinley1779 7 месяцев назад +1

      Water spots vary too much. Matt did a series on his M3 after it got exposed to the irrigation system. Best practice is to not get water spots. Eliminate the cause and you don't need a cure.

    Matt- this is Owen, from Atanta, I forgot to mention--- worth considering the new EGO vacuum--- EGO 56 Volt 9 Gallon Cordless Wet/Dry--- it has an amazing blower feature- just switch the hose to make it a powerful blower- can use for nooks/cranies for drying the care. And substitutes a poor-mans air blower for interiors/ect--- great for blowing out carpet/ect with crevice tool. Great battery life. And has the same suctions the corded high suction rigids ect. It's a mobile alternative to your amazing vacuum--- it ihas the expected EGO quality --- absolutely love. I wanted to email you as well, but don't have your email.
