Really hoping they add AI for Abyss VS mode. Then again, given the degree of customization and huge variance in fighting styles, I wouldn't be surprised if that never gets implemented. Still, would be a sad thing to miss, since there are some truly TERRIFYING monsters you could face off against if you had a computer behinid the wheel - I'm looking at you, cancel-everything-into-everything-else-Wrastor!
Honestly, even without the cancelable moves on Wrastor, he still has some of the best customs. This is due to the fact that one rune makes your air dodge deal damage (5%), and it's ridiculously easy to combo off of it. But then, you throw in the rune that restores your air dodge after every jump. This lets him combo his air dodges into one another, then finish with sweet spot Uspecial, dealing 30% (ground jump, air dodge(5%), double jump, another air dodge(5%),triple jump, yet another air dodge(5%), quadruple jump, final air dodge(5%), then sweet spot Uspecial(10%).)for air dodging into an enemy. *As a true fricking combo.* This also improves his recovery by a substantial amount. But then, of course, you can take it one step further, by adding the rune that gives Wrastor 4 additional jumps. Add all those 5% from air dodge then the Uspecial and you get 50% *Fifty. percent.* Off of an *air dodge* into your opponent (not even going to write out the combo). Not to mention *even more* boosted recovery, probably enabling Wrastor to recover from the bottom of the blast zone twice over, maybe even thrice. Even with all that, you still get two rune spots left for whatever other crazy Wrastor runes(I myself prefer more air speed and some other random rune). So yeah. Wrastor's runes are pretty dumb. But I guess that's the whole point of them. Also Etalus Nspecial rune
