Today there was a moment when I temporarily lost my mind and made the plunge and purchased myself a small baby. Cross my fingers 🤞that I can get it to the beauty that you have. 😊💚
This is a super positive enjoyable channel and I was shocked to notice your sub count this morning. More people need to enjoy and learn from your plant journey!!
Loving your work here. Thanks for the share. Can you tell us what your potting mix is? Also wondering about recommendations about lights/light cycles for the PSS. I have one but seems to be growing a lot more slowly so any advice would be greatly appreciated 😊
I use the soil ninja philodendron mix for this plant. It is made from a very well drawing mix (Inc bark and perlite). In terms of lighting, I have mine directly under a growlight but I think it probably too much light. I would recommend using a high quality light (e.g. sansi) and have the plant about a meter away from it
Wouldn't it be safer to put it on a moss pole and air layer? Eeek! I have a young one with like 4 leaves and hope to propagate at some point as well so this is reassuring.
Absolutely amazing! Could you speak about your lighting for this plant a bit? I'm just starting this endeavor myself, I want to give it the best chance of survival 🫠
For the first year, I grew it under a grow light in my grow tent. This summer I have grown it outside of the tent on an east facing window. So far so good. Indirect light is best

It's a great plant and one I know you will love as you get to grow it. It is a very fast grower in the summer. Best of luck🤞

Great job 👏👏👏That's some fast growth, and the leaves are really starting to size up now. 🌱💚
I can't wait till it's a giant haha!
You had better get that plant room sorted then 🤣🤣🤣
Wow! The plants are gorgious! That must have felt so satisfying to succesfully propagate the plant. I am not sure I would have dared to 😁
It was a massive risk and i was so glad it paid off
Thanks for the update!! It was very successful prop!! 🎉🥳

Hi! what do you feed to the pss until its rooted extremely well like that?
Hi there, I use liquid gold leaf
After you made the cut, how did you establish roots in the top cutting? Just put it in a glass of water for a few months and then transfer to soil?
I propagated it in moist moss. It worked very well
What did you put the cutting in to root out?
I only used moss and it worked a dream
I see a lot of people saying they need moss poles? Is that true? they seem to do just fine without?
Mine doesn't seem to need one just yet. But I don't think it would hurt to add one
Wouldn't it be safer to put it on a moss pole and air layer? Eeek! I have a young one with like 4 leaves and hope to propagate at some point as well so this is reassuring.
I think that would work well too. This goes to show how resilient these plants are
What do you feed it?
I currently use formulex
